So here we're going to demonstrate how to enable "Dual Combo Mode". So Dual Combo Mode makes it so that you have to have two people in order to get access to the safe. So the standard Dual Combo Mode has the master user and any of the other 8 users that you programmed in the lock earlier; those two codes have to be used to get into the safe. To enable it, you're going to press C, #, 30, #, then our Master Code 6-5-4-3-2-1-#, then 1 for enable and then #. So now dual combo mode is enabled. So let's test it. So we're going to do our master code first C-6-5-4-3-2-1-#. It will beep twice, then we're going to put in let's say user # 8. So we did our 9-8-7-6-5-4-#. The lock opened so it required both combinations to get into the safe.

The next step in the process is to set the combinations for users 1-8 on the ESL20XL digital lock. So we're going to start with user number 1. So for user number 1, we're going to press the C button, #, 1 for user number 1, # then our Master Code 6-5-4-3-2-1-#, then our code for user # 1. We're going to make it simple. 1-2-3-4-5-6-# Then we need to do it again. 1-2-3-4-5-6-#. You'll hear the warbling sound or beeps, 5 or 6 beeps then you know that you did it correctly. So let's test it. So C-1-2-3-4-5-6-#. Lock opens. So we did user number 1. So we're going to do user # 2 now. So what we're going to do is we're going to press C, #, 2, #, then your Master Code 6-5-4-3-2-1-#. Then we're going to make it simple. We'll do 6 2's. 2-2-2-2-2-2-#. We need to do it again, we always do it twice. 2-2-2-2-2-2-#. Now it's set. So now we're going to skip ahead. So you do the same thing for 3,4,5,6,7. We're going to skip ahead to user # 8. So what we're going to do is press C, #, 8, # 6-5-4-3-2-1-# then we're going to set a code. So we're going to do 9-8-7-6-5-4-#. We're going to do it again. 9-8-7-6-5-4-#. Now user # 8 code is in there. We're going to test it. C-9-8-7-6-5-4-#. Lock opens. So now you have your users programmed in the lock.

The next step in the process is to enable each user 1-8. So we've changed the master code, we've enabled multi-user mode. Now we need to enable each user. So what you're going to do is press the C button, #, 11, # then your Master Code, # and then 1 for user # 1 and then pound. Now user # 1 is enabled. o C - # - 11 - # (Master Code) - # - 1 - # o C - # - 11 - # (Master Code) - # - 2 - # o C - # - 11 - # (Master Code) - # - 3 - # o C - # - 11 - # (Master Code) - # - 4 - # o C - # - 11 - # (Master Code) - # - 5 - # o C - # - 11 - # (Master Code) - # - 6 - # o C - # - 11 - # (Master Code) - # - 7 - # o C - # - 11 - # (Master Code) - # - 8 - # Now all 8 users are enabled now.

Now that we've changed the master code, the next step in the process is to enable multi-user mode. This will allow you to expand the number of users that you have in the lock from just 1 to 9. So you will add 8 users. So what we're going to do is press the C button, then #, then 10, then #, then our master code 6-5-4-3-2-1-#, then 1, then #. Then you'll hear those beeps, that means you did it correctly. Pressing 1 is to enable it. If you wanted to disable it for example you would do 0 instead of 1. That would remove all the users from the lock.

Here's how to change the master code on your ESL20XL digital lock. So when you get the safe, the default code is going to be C-1-2-3-4-5-6-#. That is going to open the safe. You'll always want to make any changes to the lock like changing combinations or enabling multi-user mode or dual control mode with the door open. If you make a mistake, it's a lot easier to fix with the door open then if the door is closed. So we're going to go ahead and change the master code now. So what you're going to do is press the C button and then # which is going to put it in programming mode. Then you're going to put in the master code, the default one which is 1-2-3-4-5-6-#. Then you're going to put in your new code. We're going to reverse it. So we're going to do 6-5-4-3-2-1-#. Then you got to do it again. 6-5-4-3-2-1-#. You'll hear those warbling beeps, 5 or 6 beeps, that's when you know you did it correctly. So we're going to test it out. You always want to test it a couple times to make sure you did it correct. C-6-5-4-3-2-1-# The safe opened now you can close the door.
