A Whole Body: A New Thing?
Our books Whole Bible Christianity, Nicolaitan: Lords of Hypocrisy and Whole Bible Prophecy are now available on Amazon.
The first two available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce Bertram from The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com presents the whole Bible Christian view of the Body in this and following videos. According to modern church teachings a "new thing" (called the church) was created by God at Pentecost. But was it? A new thing has certainly been created, but not by God. The Body of Christ as been around for far longer than Acts chapter 2. Biblically, the book of Acts tells us of the continuation of the Body, not the beginning.

The first two are available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce Bertram from The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com presents a whole Bible Christian introduction to the Body of Christ using Ephesians 4:4-6 as a start point. Take a look with us at the biblical concept of one body, existing since the beginning, composed of members who believe God and act according to His Word. The Body has always been one. The Church is not the Body, the body has never been split as the modern church has, and it have never been in danger of going away.

A Whole God: Old, Jewish God?
Our books Whole Bible Christianity, Nicolaitan: Lords of Hypocrisy and Whole Bible Prophecy are now available on Amazon.
The first two are available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce S. Bertram of The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com shows the biblical truth of God and Jesus being one. If you listen a while to modern church teachings you'd swear they were talking about two different gods when they talked about Jesus and the Father. The old god is supposed to be a god of bloody sacrifices, lightening, and gave us laws we couldn't follow. Jesus is supposed to be the new version: modern, easy to get along with, undemanding, and hip. The biblical truth is that Jesus IS that old, Jewish God!

Bruce Bertram from The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com presents the whole Bible view of grace, cheap grace, and so-called unconditional love and tolerance. It might be a little different than you think. We use the term all the time, but do we really know what grace is? How does grace get cheapened? And are the current modern definitions of unconditional love and tolerance really what is in the Bible?

A Whole God: A Personal God
Our books Whole Bible Christianity, Nicolaitan: Lords of Hypocrisy and Whole Bible Prophecy are now available on Amazon.
The first two are available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce Bertram from The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com explains the difference between sentiment and love, plus summarizes all the videos of this Whole God playlist.
It is popular to try and show Jesus as a "personal" god. Even pagans get in on the act. The efforts fail because sentiment is the main tool. Sentiment doesn't work very well to teach people what God is all about because it is so transient. The goal is to get to know Him as He has revealed Himself and as He wants to be known. Sentiment will be a part, but it is dependent and arises from fear, humility, and trusting obedience or faith. Watch and learn how the biblical Jesus and His Father have always been very personal.

Bruce S. Bertram from The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com tackles what it means that Jesus is God. Another subject we have to cover because so many deny not only the deity of Jesus but also the connection between Jesus, the Father, and the Law. Many Scripture verses quoted and cited, so if you don't like Bible evidence then you won't like this video either. But the facts are undeniable: Jesus is God, gave the Law, and expects us to abide in it as we do all of His Words.

There are so many false definitions going around, and some who wear the Name imply that following all of the Word (including the Law) is not a "salvation issue." A false teaching has arisen in recent decades that pictures salvation as merely "believing in Jesus." Well, demons believe, and tremble, yet are not saved. So what does it mean to be saved?

Bruce S. Bertram from The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com explains the biblical meaning of Colossians 2. Peter said that Paul's teachings are hard to understand. Not this one. The meaning is very clear - all we have to do is read it. The Law is not the subject, it is the philosophy and traditions of men. The Law was never nailed to the cross, it was a record of debt. If you don't believe us, see and read for yourself.

A Whole God: Idolatry
Our book Whole Bible Christianity is available for purchase at https://www.amazon.com/Whole-Bible-Ch...
Available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce S. Bertram of The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com shows in this video that idolatry is alive and well in modern times, even if we think we don't have statues in the living room. Here is a whole Bible definition of idolatry that will perhaps rock your current thinking. More information is available at www.wholebible.com and in a draft of our book titled Whole Bible Christianity on the site too.
We might comfort ourselves that we are not idolaters because we don't have a statue in the living room (let's overlook the crucifix, Christmas tree, Easter eggs and bunnies for now). But idolatry is not limited to actual images. Paul says that covetousness is idolatry (Ephesians 5:5). God says the Chaldeans worship their own might, Jesus says that Mammon is a god, and Paul says that some people have their belly as their god (Philippians 3:19). And don't even get me started on American Idol. If we reject His ways and go our own way, even in the smallest thing, it's idolatry.
The statue in the center of disobedience is the self-image. A 3-D statue is really self-will personified. Idolatry comes from inside, from the heart. The statue just gives it a physical shape. Adam and Eve were booted out of paradise, not because they bowed to an image, but because they bowed to self-will and knowledge. Obedience is worship. Their obedience to their own understanding was just the same as worshipping a statue of themselves.

The Whole Picture: Street Theology
NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON: Our book Whole Bible Christianity is now available for purchase at https://www.amazon.com/Whole-Bible-Ch...
Available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce S. Bertram of The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com discusses what he means by street theology. Everyone has a belief system. For believers we call this "street theology." It is composed of what we think or know to be true, and we use it whenever we are judging truth and how we will react to the truth we think we know. Where do believers get their street theology? We would probably say, "From the Bible," but perhaps it is more from what we've heard about the Bible than the Bible itself. We encourage believers here to stop playing the game of telephone (going mostly by what is heard) and instead go direct to the Source.

Bruce S. Bertram of The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com points out here that there are many church versions of the Law. Some limit it to ten commandments. Some divide it into non-biblical sections then tell us that two of them don't count. Others want only two commands, or red letters, or a spiritual law. The biblical choice in our view is...all of the above. In this video we give you the lowdown on which Law it is our privilege to follow. We also talk a little about what it means to work, and locate Law within grace.

The Whole Picture: Salvation by Love Through Love
NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON: Our book Whole Bible Christianity is now available for purchase at https://www.amazon.com/Whole-Bible-Ch...
Available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce S. Bertram from The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com takes a few minutes here to explain the whole Bible Christian concept of salvation by love through love. It's a different way of looking at the faith/works question. Our whole Bible Christian idea balances between salvation by grace through faith and salvation by works.
Maybe you are one of those people who really want to feel God but just can't seem to reach. Like me, you've looked in church; maybe even a number of different churches. While there are some good things, God seems to be just a bit beyond your fingertips still.
You've tried a home fellowship or two, and learned to pray like that guy Jabez. Seminars to help you find purpose to drive your life are coming out your ears. You've tried all the latest church fads; bought the bestselling books and videos. You get excited for a while, but none of it really works to touch God or produce Spirit fruit. You can't get over the huge disconnect between what you see around you in the church and what's in the Word.
This video, and our others, can help you find what's missing. Some argue faith alone, others argue faith with works. We prefer to look at the question as salvation by love through love. The Father loved us and sent His Son, Jesus died and rose again for us in love, and we respond to that love in love by doing everything God asks.

Bruce S. Bertram of The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com gives a brief overview of church history as it relates to its handling of the Law. The church is the visible representation of the Body of Christ, but they are not identical. Why does the church, on the whole, react so negatively to the Law? Since it's part of the new covenant, then why so many objections? Bruce Bertram from The Word of God Ministries clears up part of the picture by presenting a brief history of the church in a way you might not have seen it before.

The Whole Picture: Who Put The Church In Charge
NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON: Our book Whole Bible Christianity is now available for purchase at https://www.amazon.com/Whole-Bible-Ch...
Available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce S. Bertram of The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com asks the question: Who put the church in charge? It wasn't God. The existence and effectiveness of the visible church is in question here. The Reformation picked up steam because people were able to compare the picture of the church presented in Acts from their freshly translated-to-common-language Bibles with the one they were in at the time. They found theirs sorely lacking. It's time for another comparison to today's church. The modern church is just as sore and just as lacking according to Bruce Bertram from The Word of God Ministries.
The church as we see it is created by men. It is not the same thing as the Body. The word 'church' is nowhere to be found in the Hebrew or Greek. It is only used in English translations. Instead words were used such as assembly, congregation, body, bride, remnant, elect and olive tree. The church has had its ups and downs over the last 2,000 years. Depending on your measuring stick some think the church in modern times is up, though they might admit it has a few problems here and there. Tim Hawkins likes to say that each church is like one of those clear boxes of strawberries from the grocery store, with the real nice ones on top and the moldy ones underneath. None are perfect because they're just made up of "folks." As funny as that is, others, including me, can clearly see that what we've got doesn't bear a lot of resemblance to the congregation in the book of Acts. Top or bottom.

The Whole Picture: The Believer's Daily Bread
NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON: Our book Whole Bible Christianity is now available for purchase at https://www.amazon.com/Whole-Bible-Ch...
Available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce S. Bertram from The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com outlines biblical meanings of the body and blood of the Christ. Would you believe us if we told you that Jesus was the first person ever to say, "Eat me!"? He really did in John 6:53-58. When He said this He lost a few disciples. Will He lose you too?
53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. (John 6:53-58 KJV)
The Law is part of His body and blood. Real communion is to hear and follow. Salvation is faith in action - to hear, obey, abide, and exchange our ways of death for God's Way of Life. To abide in His love through His Word. Jesus isn't talking about a picnic, or mystic wafers and wine. He is talking about obedience.
The New Covenant is God's Law written on a heart of flesh. God's living oracles, as Stephen calls them in Acts 7:38, not only keep heart soft but feeds our spirit as we eat and drink all of them. Eating and drinking is just another way to describe hearing and doing.
Since about 1997 The Word of God Ministries has been all about something we call Whole Bible Christianity. More information can be found on our website www.wholebible.com. Thanks for listening.

The Whole Picture: The Original Four-Letter Word
NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON: Our book Whole Bible Christianity is now available for purchase at https://www.amazon.com/Whole-Bible-Ch...
Available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce S. Bertram of The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com speaks of whole Bible Christianity (living the whole of the Word, including the Law as an unequaled lifestyle and discipleship method) as being all about love. Among the many things given to their descendants by Adam and Eve was the first four-letter word. The word 'obey' quickly became a bitter epithet, used like a cuss word whenever God is talked about or even thought about. It is still in use today in all languages, and various forms of the word are getting more use than ever. One pastor recently told us we were “all about rules and regulations.” Apparently "obey" was among his four-letter words, as it has been for many people throughout the millennia. This was particularly evident when he told us we couldn’t attend his church.
Many people make a similar invective or cuss word when looking at God’s Law. But obey is to love as colors are to sunlight. God has always loved. He loved even when giving the Law. Law is all about love too. Just read the Word and you'll see.
God loved before the cross. Really, He did. Love has been associated with God since, well since forever. Genesis 24:27 mentions God's "steadfast love" to Abraham which is repeated in Exodus 34:6 by God when He passes before Moses on Mt. Sinai. Love is a key ingredient of the Law. Deuteronomy 6:5 is where God links loving Him with commands being "on your heart." In Deuteronomy 7:9 God says that He "keeps covenant" and "steadfast love with all those who love Him and keep His commandments." Obviously Law and love are intimately connected.

The Whole Picture: The Heart of the New Covenant
NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON: Our book Whole Bible Christianity is now available for purchase at https://www.amazon.com/Whole-Bible-Ch...
Available also in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
Bruce S. Bertram from The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com has found out that many Christians say that they live by the New Covenant and not the Old. But most of these new covenant Christians do not know what the New Covenant says or where it's at in the Bible. This video covers both of these subjects and the Heart of the New Covenant.
The new covenant goes all the way back to the beginning when you realize that loving God and doing what He says has been His goal from Genesis. The heart of the new covenant is God's Law written on a new heart of flesh. The Law was delivered by Moses, but it is not the word of Moses. It is the Word of God. It has been made into a scary thing by some, but when written on a heart of flesh it is anything but scary. Contrary to what you have probably heard, the Bible doesn't say the Law is scary. Or hard, old, outdated, a curse, or beyond our ability. Those are teachings of men. The teachings of His Word, or Law, are a reflection of God's character, and include mercy, justice, truth, instruction, love and life.
Every word from God's mouth is Law, and life giving. Even those words that have punishment in them are designed to encourage life. Death is what happens when we turn away from His words of life (or Law). He is the source of life, so when we ignore any part of His word, or His Law, by that much we separate ourselves from life. We have to be completely connected to life in order to get the full effect. The measure we use is the measure that is used on us (Matthew 7:2; Mark 4:24; Luke 6:38).
The new part of the new covenant is the heart, not the Word. "New" is the heart, "covenant" is the Law. Through the sacrifice of the Christ, believers trade in old hearts of stone for new creations. Our new heart is soft and responsive to God's every thought. As the pagans move further away from the Word, believers need to move closer. We want to be heart to heart with God (1 John 5:1-12).
