Bruce S. Bertram of The Word of God Ministries and http://www.wholebible.com discusses what he means by street theology. Everyone has a belief system. For believers we call this "street theology." It is composed of what we think or know to be true, and we use it whenever we are judging truth and how we will react to the truth we think we know. Where do believers get their street theology? We would probably say, "From the Bible," but perhaps it is more from what we've heard about the Bible than the Bible itself. We encourage believers here to stop playing the game of telephone (going mostly by what is heard) and instead go direct to the Source.
