Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy accused Russia of 'genocide' on Tuesday during an address to the UN general assembly in which he appealed for support for his country amid an ongoing Russian invasion. Zelenskiy said Ukraine has evidence that Russia had kidnapped 'hundreds of thousands of children', adding that Kyiv was working to return the children to the country. 'Those children in Russia are taught to hate Ukraine and all ties with their families are broken. And this is clearly a genocide,' Zelenskiy said.

Elon Musk found not guilty of fraud over Tesla tweet
Tesla founder Elon Musk has been cleared of wrongdoing for a tweet in which he said he had "funding secured" to take the electric carmaker back into private ownership.
Shareholders argued he misled them with his posts in August 2018, and they had lost billions of dollars because of them.
The proposed $72bn (£60bn) buyout never materialised.
If found liable, Musk, who also owns the social media platform Twitter, could have been ordered to pay out billions in damages.

China "spy balloon" over US sparks diplomatic row
A diplomatic row has erupted between the US and China after a balloon was spotted at high altitude in the skies over America, which it says is being used for surveillance.
It's led to the Secretary of State Anthony Blinken cancelling a planned trip to China.

Humans and wild apes share common sign language, study finds
The research revealed that humans are capable of understanding many of the gestures wild chimps and bonobos use to communicate with one another.
The video-based study was carried out by researchers at St Andrews University in Scotland, with volunteers translating ape gestures.
It suggests the last common ancestor humans shared with chimps used similar gestures, and that these may have been a "starting point" for language.

Ukraine has ‘frank’ talks with Germany as it pushes for tanks
Ukraine's defence minister has said he had a "frank discussion" with his German counterpart about Germany’s Leopard 2 tanks, which Kyiv is urgently requesting to confront Russian armour.
Germany has not yet decided whether to send the tanks to Ukraine, or allow other countries to donate theirs, despite pressure on Berlin to act.
"We had a frank discussion on Leopards 2. To be continued," Oleksii Reznikov said after meeting Western allies.
Kyiv is to get many other Nato weapons.
