As we emerge from the teleporter to planet Utopia, I hoped the action would ramp up for Act 2, and Map 12 delivered! Between Revenants, Mancubi, and Chaingunners pelting you from buildings, a massive gunner ambush after getting the red key, and a Cyberdemon encounter inside the yellow key building, boy did the action ever ramp up! This time, they're targeting the historic Um'ami Ruins! With the new season update also comes a new Grizzco weapon! The Grizzco Dualies work similarly to the Dapple Dualies in terms of range and damage output, but where it really shines is the dodge roll mechanic. With most dualies you can only dodge roll twice at a time, and with the Tetra Dualies you can only dodge roll four times at once. However, with the Grizzco Dualies the only limit to your dodge roll ability is how much ink you have, and each dodge roll also causes an explosion, perfect for charging through lessers! Sizzle Season 2023 has arrived in Splatoon 3, and with it comes a brand-new mode known as Challenge Mode, where battles under special conditions take place at specific times. Next is the a repeat of the Extreme Jump Battle challenge, which is a Tower Control challenge on Um'ami Ruins and Museum d'Alfonsino. The gimmick here is greatly enhanced jumping power allowing you access to areas that were normally inaccessible. This gets especially pronounced on Museum d'Alfonsino. Sizzle Season 2023 has arrived in Splatoon 3, and with it comes a brand-new mode known as Challenge Mode, where battles under special conditions take place at specific times. Next is a repeat of the Duel of Dynamic Duos challenge, which is a Tower Control challenge on Hammerhead Bridge and Brinewater Springs. The world may have been saved from Godcat's wrath, but there is still more to be done in order to truly complete this game. After killing Godcat, you're instantly thrust into New Game Plus, which resets you to the beginning of the game with all your levels, skills, weapons, and gear intact and the enemies' levels increasing accordingly. The only thing lost is the key navigation items (axe, hammer, boots, ladder, etc.), so you need to collect those all over again. There is another achievement for beating the game a second and third time, and the additional levels gained from New Game+ are also required for collecting two other achievements that I never got for dealing more than 3,000,000 and 30,000,000 damage with a single blow. There are also a few bosses that I wasn't able to beat with all the challenges on in my first playthrough, so I want to get stars on those medals before the end of my third playthrough. I also decided to do my NG+ playthrough a little differently this time around. This time I'm going to tackle the Battle Mountain side area challenges at the first opportunity. This means that as soon as I kill Mighty Oak and get the axe, I immediately go to Battle Mountain, chop down the tree and fight Armored Oak.
