The Story of J.R. Charbonneau
In between episodes of “Rise of the Field Fillers,” I thought it would be neat to do a few individual profiles on drivers and teams. This one was inspired by a pair of slides I bought over the summer depicting J.R. Charbonneau and his lone Cup start at Dover for the Buck Baker Racing Team. Here is that story.

10/16/11: My initial thoughts after the loss of Dan Wheldon (AUDIO ONLY)
While looking through my digital archives from 2011, I found this 14-minute video of my thoughts after the tragic accident that claimed the life of Dan Wheldon (recorded 6:13 P.M. Pacific on October 16, 2011). I'm not sure why I didn't post it back then. My guess was I decided to post the tribute video instead, which I made later that night.

ARCA West team scrambles to make the start at Sonoma, 2021
Rodd Kneeland's crew fights to get their driver's car ready to join the field for the General Tire 200 at the Sonoma Raceway on June 5, 2021. The input shaft had failed on the transmission, forcing some last-minute repairs with the car on jack stands. While Kneeland would make the start of the race, the transmission issue returned on the first lap. His car stalled on the track, putting him in last place. #NeverGiveUp

Episode 7, Part 2 - Carl Long Racing
WATCH PART 1 FIRST!
https://youtu.be/NiTuqNCTWys
Perhaps no driver from 2004 exemplified the spirit of the “field fillers” better than Carl Long. For the soft-spoken man they call “The Long Shot,” qualifying was always the true battleground – to race was the reward. Yet no matter how unforgiving the clock, nor how challenging the obstacles, Long never lost his sense of humor. So, when a shocking accident destroyed his only car, the fans came out in support. And when a technical infraction led to an unprecedented penalty, he never gave up.
