The Mystery of Mike Harmon Racing's Stolen Hauler
On August 16, 2020, just hours after both his NASCAR XFINITY Series cars restarted on the front row late in the inaugural Daytona Road Course race, Mike Harmon learns one of his two transporters was stolen in Kingsland, Georgia. In the three years since, the team has yet to recover their truck, trailer, and equipment, including the #47 Chevrolet with which Kyle Weatherman finished 17th that Saturday in Daytona.
Perhaps you can help. Join me – you may be able to help solve a mystery---

Québec New York 2001: 9/11’s Lost Exposition
Two years of preparation. Two months of events. $15 million in expenses. Québec New York 2001 was set to be the most spectacular and creative expression of French-Canadian art and technology the world had yet seen. Its organizers envisioned an ambitious state-wide cultural festival that would redefine what Québec meant to her neighbors – and to the future. And it would all culminate in the Winter Garden of the World Financial Center in lower Manhattan, in the shadow of the twin towers of the World Trade Center.
The day is Monday, September 10th.
This is the incredible true story of Québec New York 2001.

RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT
Five years in the making, I am thrilled to announce that “Cope,” my biography on Derrike Cope, will be released next month on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. The book will be available exclusively on Amazon in paperback, digital eBook, and audiobook.
WHO IS PUBLISHING THE BOOK?
This book has been self-published, just like the second edition of “J.D.”
HOW MUCH WILL THE BOOK COST?
The book will be available on Amazon for $19.99, which is the same cost as “J.D.,” also available on Amazon. The eBook and audiobook prices will be available by release day.
WILL THE AUDIOBOOK BE NARRATED BY YOU?
Yes. I have recorded and will upload my own unabridged audiobook, which runs approximately six hours. The two clips of my voice were taken directly from different chapters of the book. Unlike this trailer, it will not have audio clips from the people interviewed - I have narrated the entire book. This is to ensure the audio level stays constant.
WHEN WILL YOU BE DOING A BOOK SIGNING?
Book signing dates are still being arranged. For updates, be sure to stay tuned to my Twitter feed @LASTCARonBROCK.
HOW CAN I GET A SIGNED COPY?
Since I will not have copies on hand for a few weeks after the release date, the best way to get yours signed is to order it on Amazon, then mail it with a self-addressed stamped envelope to Brock Beard, P.O. Box 1599, Sutter Creek, California 95685. I will sign and mail back your copy as soon as possible.
IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY I CAN GET MY BOOK SIGNED?
Absolutely. The next best way would be to stay tuned to when I’ll be covering races trackside. I like to take time to meet with viewers whenever I’m there. Bring your book to the track and stay tuned to my Twitter feed @LASTCARonBROCK. I’d be happy to sign your book in person.

Interview with Mach I, Inc.'s Larry Gunselman and Chris Edwards, featuring Joe Laracuente
As a follow-up to "Rise of the Field Fillers: Episode 11" on Mach I, Inc., Joe Laracuente at DoorStopNation.com helped organize the following interview with both Larry Gunselman, featured in my video, and Chris Edwards, who joined forces with Gunselman to operate the No. 98 team in 2004.
Larry and Chris reveal even more details about their season, and also comment on the plight of small teams in today's NASCAR.

Episode 11 - Mach I, Inc.
Larry Gunselman began with a career in aviation which stirred an interest in fabrication and aerodynamics. He channeled this into his passion for cars, and got into racing on the west coast circuit. He soon took his efforts back east, balancing his duties as a Winston Cup crew member with starts in each of NASCAR’s three national touring series. This afforded him an opportunity to enter his own “field filler” in 2004, where he joined forces with an up-and-coming sponsor to resurrect a team from the 1980s. The result produced one of the most consistent yet overlooked of the “filler” teams – and a surprising legacy.

The Story of Trevor Boys (1957-2023)
After Earl Ross became the first foreign-born driver to win in NASCAR, but before the likes of Patrick Carpentier, Ron Fellows, and Jacques Villeneuve, just one driver flew the flag for Canada in the Winston Cup Series – Trevor Boys. This is his story.

2001: Ten seconds away from the greatest Daytona 500 ever
Presenting Parts One through Four of "#500DAYS," now with remixed audio and combined into a single video. (New Upload, originally posted May 20)
In PART ONE, as the 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup Series season draws to a close, Ray Evernham unexpectedly ends his tenure as Jeff Gordon’s crew chief. Evernham’s new ambition – bringing Dodge back to NASCAR’s top series – singlehandedly alters the trajectory of the 2000 season, which becomes a year of tremendous change.
In PART TWO, the cars and stars of the NASCAR Winston Cup Series arrive in Daytona to prepare for the “Great American Race.” Awaiting them is the most aggressive aerodynamic package that NASCAR has yet conceived, bringing a mix of slingshots and pack racing to the sport’s biggest race.
In PART THREE, after 500 days of anticipation and a week of intense racing, the stage is set for the most competitive Daytona 500 in recent memory, starring the track’s most celebrated driver.
In PART FOUR - At first, the wreck didn’t look so bad. Just another of a series of late-race incidents in NASCAR’s most prestigious race. After all, the day belonged to Michael Waltrip, who finally broke through with his first win in his 463rd start. But conspicuously absent from victory lane was team owner Dale Earnhardt, who had yet to climb from his wrecked No. 3. What was announced that evening – and what followed over the next several days – would shake the sport of professional stock car racing to its core.
