FREE Bullet Lead Alloy Calculator!
You have a favorite lead/tin/antimony mix, but then the availability of one of the component alloys you use changes (like has happened in the case of lead wheel weights). What do you do now?
Well, you can use different alloys if you know how to recalculate the mixtures based on the new alloys. That is what this video is about because I have made a Bullet Alloy Calculator which I am giving away for free (see email for contact at the end of this video).
The calculator can be loaded and used with Excel or the free app from Google called "Sheets". It's very intuitive to use but, that said, it probably doesn't hurt to see a demonstration of it in use.
And that is what this video will provide. If you like what you see, look for my email address shown at the end of this video and let me know. I will send the file to you right away, supplying a link to it a folder on my Google Drive.

Figure Out Your Wheel Weight Alloys!
As wheel weights made of lead become scarce due to environmental restrictions, you may want to consider lumping in the pure lead stick-on types with the clip-on types you obtain (which will also save you time sorting).
But how will such a change affect the alloys you make from it later? This video gives you the analytical tools to figure that out for yourself, no matter what you source your alloy ingredients from.

IS BILL C-21 DYING???
Due to a technical slip-up, footage was accidentally recorded, showing the Trudeau Liberals' violation of their promise to consult with First Nations regarding Bill C-21... For a second time!
What this video proves is that - after saying for a second time they would consult with First Nations - they reneged on that promise again, but did so in a way they thought the public wouldn't see.
Having done so, passing Bill C-21 will violate the legal requirement of consultation with First Nations and must be withdrawn immediately. This was the Liberals' second try at consultation and it proves they are not capable to considering (or even listening to) the views of First Nations, as this video shows. If they didn't learn the lesson the first two times, they cannot be trusted to ask for a third.

How To: Native Beadwork - Free 2 Hr Course
People often ask her if she can put on a beading class. She doesn't have time (yet) to organize something like that, but perhaps someday.
For now, however, she can share this nearly 2 hour course made for our channel, for those who are really interested in learning.
The first portion of this course was published to this channel some time ago. This full version now completes her instruction by including the two parts not shared previously.
If you are interested in seeing more of Nikeeya's work, she has a Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/NikeeyaNativeCrafts/ and can be contacted via that. Nikeeya's style is what was passed down to her through her mother and her people, the Dene Tha in northern Alberta.

Reloading: How Long Does It Take?
Reloading is great for saving money and ensuring you always have a supply of the ammo your gun is sighted in for, but how much time does it take? This video (along with a data sheet available for free) provides you with the answers by breaking down and timing each stage of the reloading process in a way you can apply to your own situation, regardless of which cartridge you reload for.
In the course of this experiment some interesting, lesser-known subjects are demonstrated in addition to standard reloading procedures; like how you can make your own gas checks from beer cans.
For those who cast their own bullets, the time required for traditional lubrisizing instead of powder-coating is considered. The information provided will help you assess the approach that is best for you.
The cartridge used for demonstration in this video is the obscure .45-120 with a 540 grain home-cast bullet used for hunting big game in Canada.

A Neat Way To Display Your Ammunition
This video provides you with step-by-step instructions on how - using common materials found around the home - you can make your own, exploded-view dioramas. displaying the various components of a cartridge. This is especially nice if you reload your own ammunition. In addition, you can use those old shooting trophies you've stored away (if you still have them) as the bases; putting them to good use again.
These dioramas make excellent teaching tools for those unacquainted with function of cartridges and guns in general. Bullet casters may be especially drawn to showing off their casting skill in this way too.
The cartridge in this example diorama is a .45-120 using a 535 and a 540 grain cast bullet. This cartridge is intended for use in my Ruger No.1 rifle and has proven successful when hunting moose, deer and bear, here in Canada.

Chronograph Tests: .45-120 Using A 540 Grain Bullet (Ruger No. 1)
In this video I show the testing of a new 540 grain cast bullet for use in my Ruger No. 1 chambered for .45-120. Although the previous load I relied on - a 535 grain Postel-shaped cast - worked well, this new bullet (an "Accurate 45-540W") with its blunt nose will now be my first choice when it comes to moose hunting going forward.
The chronograph used in this video is a Caldwell G2 unit that allows me to connect using bluetooth to my Android phone; simple to set up and works well for indoors environments.

History and How-To: Learn Beadwork the Dene Way, Part 1
Beginning with a little history, Nikeeya and her sister Rose discuss how the Dene Tha did beadwork in the old days. Nikeeya then goes on to show in great detail how, with a little practicce, you can learn to do beadwork yourself.
Requests for information on this skill and others like it are frequently made on this channel, so this will receive on-going attention. Many First Nations people are striving to recapture and preserve their traditional ways before the knowledge becomes lost. Part of this channel's purpose is to be of assistance in that effort.
Nikeeya, now in her 70's, has long experience doing beadwork and shares a special method he has of doing it. If you would like to see more of her work, you can visit her "Nikeeya's Native Crafts" Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/NikeeyaNativeCrafts

Does Ownership Mean Anything Anymore in Canada?
This video explains how bills Bill C-21 and Bill C-11, along with Trudeau's treatment of Freedom/Trucker Convoy supporters, are evidence of a significant change when it comes to respecting property rights of Canadians.
With the precedents established, Canadians can no longer confidently claim to owning anything. Instead they can only speculate how long they will be permitted to own what they have because all such rights exist only at the government's pleasure.
It is also shown how this change ties into the WEF's (World Economic Forum) agenda which strives for a future where "You will own nothing and you will be happy." In Canada, one of the fore-runners of this approach is the message sent to Canadian gun owners indicating they no longer actually have a right to own their legally-obtained firearms.

This video is a revision of an earlier video made 2 years ago. The older version received a copyright claim due to music used within it, so I took the opportunity of revisting and improving it for republication.
One of the joys of being grandparents is watching our grandchildren mature and guiding them the best we can as they do.
Our grandson in this video is First Nations treaty status (like his grandmother), so we try to teach him the skills and knowledge required involved in hunting - things that will serve him well once he reaches adulthood. As we are blessed with eleven grandchildren in all, this is quite an on-going matter!
In this video we show him a number of things including: a) how to pluck, gut and singe a Canada Goose b) how to handle and shoot a .22 rifle (safely, always watching muzzle direction) c) how to cross streams/difficult terrain and d) how to spot signs of moose (browsed twigs, prints, droppings temperature).

44 Magnum Vs 10mm For Bear Defense
This video takes a look at the advantages these cartridge provide in the context of self defense against large animals; both in terms of the cartridges themselves and the types of handguns made to use them. Also discussed is why a .357 Magnum could be chosen instead of a 10mm.

What Does ChatGTP Think Of Trudeau's Gun Grab?
I asked the A.I. system known as "ChatGTP" some questions about Trudeau's Bill C-21 gun grab and these are the surprising results I received.

Campfire Tales - The Old Ways Of First Nations
How long ago was it when people in Canada truly lived off the land? Listening to my wife, you'll find it wasn't very long ago. From hearing how things were, you might develop a greater appreciation for how tough and resilient Dene Tha people were back then - before the days of automobiles, snowmobiles, electricity and running water, living year-round in the northern expanses of Alberta.
In this video, while on our trapline sitting around the fire, I decided to plant a video camera on a snow bank, hit 'record' and just let her relate stories like she always has for our past 47 years together. I have posted this because I think some of you may find it interesting (let me know if you do - in which case I may do this again sometime).
Among the topics discussed are trapping, hunting, making dried meat, canning, residential school, beading and native crafts.

Cougar On The Trapline, Too Close For Comfort!
What's the closest you've come to a cougar? A week ago, on our trapline I just about tripped over one!
This video describes what happened to us and is a reminder to be armed when out in the bush, because you never know where and when. Bears may hibernate, but mountain lions are active all year around.
As with wolverines, the Dene people regard them as bad luck, deserving extreme caution, so my wife was not crazy about one coming so close to our cabin.
The handgun shown in this video is a Ruger Security Six with a 2-3/4" barrel, .357 Magnum, loaded with 200 grain cast bullets. It is classed as a "prohibited weapon" in Canada but, because I hold a 12(6) license and have an ATC (Authorization To Carry), I am allowed to carry it for protection on the trapline.

When She Decided To Leave
Break ups can happen suddenly and in a flame or they can slowly evolve into separation until the decision is made, hard as it may be. This is my take on it - a warning that, for some things, there is no do-over.
Filmed on our trapline in northern Alberta, between Wabasca and Chipeywan Lake.
(note: this is not autobiographical, our relationship is fine)

Now A Canadian Ban On Single-shot Rifles!!!
A follow-up to my video 5 months ago, predicting many hunting rifles would also be banned as part of Bill C-21, this installment grapples with the absurdity of certain single-shot rifles being snuck onto the banned list at the last moment, as if they are also so-called "assault weapons." You can see that previous video here: https://youtu.be/38gLqoqgJ7Q.
Often overlooked are the anonymous red flag provisions included in the bill as well; provisions that will most certainly result in deaths of law-abiding gun owners who have someone with a grudge, now enabled to have their homes raided by reporting them anonymously. And, to add insult to injury, even such a false report will result in the gun owner receiving a lifetime ban on owning firearms anyway. For further insight on this topic, refer to this video: https://youtu.be/dtJO83hCMlY

Hey, this is something fun for you to make in your spare time. If you'd like to know how to make these dioramas showing the components of the cartridges you reload and bullets you cast, see the link below (YouTube doesn't allow reloading content anymore, but Rumble does):
