Starter Bike!
Here we're teaching one of our grandsons to ride. This video features a mini bike known as the "Drift Hero" in Canada (through Princess Auto), but it is also commonly branded as the "Mega Moto 212" (among other names) in the U.S. It's a very nice size for a kid to learn on and is something we will all be able to make good use of on the trapline.

From BIKER To TRAPPER (And a "Drift Hero" Review)
Can a biker ever find happiness as a trapper? Can both persons co-exist in one body? This video searches for the answer to this deep, philisophical question.
On a serious note, I spent over 25 years riding various Harley-Davidson motorcycles together with my wife. But, as we got older, we were drawn back to our earlier roots of hunting and the outdoors, so we obtained a trapline and began trapping. This video records how some of the biker lifestyle was reintroduced into our trapping lifestyle by means of a little "Drift Hero" mini bike.

Bombing With the Bombi On A Northern Trapline
It's too bad Bombardier no longer makes the "Bombi." They're so great for hunting and exploring, many people are keeping these interesting machines going - including myself and grandson. So take a little ride along in the Bombi with Tristan and see some of the sights on our trapline in northern Alberta!

After the Shot
When does the real work start? After the shot, as every big game hunter knows.
This video tracks the progress as my wife and our oldest grandson prepare for and then field-dress a moose.
Made in 1984, this Bombardier Bombi - passed down to me by my father - has been a restoration project for myself and my oldest grandson. Nearly completed its upgrades (Holley EFI yet to come), it was time to take it out on the trapline and give it a test.
Owing to a recent injury, I had to remain in camp and was not able to accompany my grandson on this trip, but he sure had fun, as you will see. That included getting high-centered on a log and working his way out of that fix. It's a good thing the Bombi has a winch that can be attached to either the front or the back.

How YouTube Re-educated Me
Sometimes, because YouTube is so much wiser than we are, we need to prove to them that we are ideologically pure - even if it's just for show. To accomplish this, we are pressured into taking tests to demonstrate our acceptance of their often stunningly idiotic policies.

The Best 4K Trail Cam Available?
Are you looking for a trail cam that records 4K video with exceptional quality? You may want to consider either the TC08 or the TC22 models offered by Campark. So that you know what you're getting, this video will demonstrate what each of these cameras is capable of.
Although they connect wirelessly to your smart phone to see-what-they-see when setting up and let you inspect what they have recorded from a distance away, these cameras do not work with data plans to send images/videos to your phone remotely.
Equipped with their solar batteries, they run for up to a year without charging, so they can be set up, left and periodically inspected when you are back in the area you placed them.
For some people, these are the ideal trail cams, so I thought I'd let you see what my experience has been with them.
Minor disclaimer: I bought two of these cameras (first one and then, another a month later) on my own dime and, when contacting Campark at a later time, they offered to send me a third, free camera to keep if I agreed to do a video review. That wasn't much of an ask because I had bought one and then another, being so pleased with their units (the first one has since been stolen, unfortunately).
To purchase or find more information on these cameras, search for "TC08" and "TC22" at the following link: https://www.campark.net/collections/trail-camera
And tell 'em The Way To Native Chronicles sent you! (I won't get a kick-back, but just so they know anyway)

1 Million March 4 Children Vs FORCED INDOCTRINATION In Schools
Does the government have the right to force children to be indoctrinated into ideologies the parents deem wrong and dangerous? With the "1 Million March 4 Children" in Canada, this an issue being raised with increasing alarm as groups of all faiths and cultures declare they have had enough and begin protesting in the streets, demanding the government respect their parental and religious rights as guaranteed by the Charter and the U.N. This video points out how the same mistake that was made in the case of Residential Schools is being repeated once again by the Canadian government.

Drone-Assisted Salvage Operation
First Nations communities are keenly interested in preserving their history so, if you operate a trapline in their traditional territory, it's appreciated if you document signs of old graves and trapping cabins and then let them know.
We haven't spotted any of those (yet) but, with the aid of a drone, I did find a long-abandoned kayak with some repairable holes in it. This video shows how found and retrieved it.
The equipment used for this video consisted of a DJI Mini 3 Pro (drone) and a DJI Osmo Action 4 camera.

How A Bear Decays In the Wild
This video is being released for educational purposes.
Warning: Although this depicts the natural, non-violent process of an animal being consumed by insects, some viewers may find the following content disturbing. In addition to the insect activity, this video includes visits made by black bear, fisher, lynx and timber wolf.
Viewer discretion is strongly advised.
The camera used in the making of this video was a "Campark TC07 4K 60MP WiFi Solar Power Dual Lens Wildlife Camera Trail Camera" ordered direct from Campark website. That camera model has now been replaced in the Campark lineup with one called the "TC22."

Which Animals Investigate A Dead Bear?
I hope you enjoy this, our channel's first foray into trail cam footage. This video records the wildlife activity around a bear we had to dispatch near our trapping cabin a while ago. It starts with two of our grandchildren locating the site with the bear's bones and then shows the cam footage.
For us, not only is the trail cam video enjoyable to watch, but it also confirms the animals active in the area nearby. The ones that came to visit were a black bear, a fisher, a lynx and a timber wolf. Use the chapter markers embedded in this video to skip to the animals you are most interested in if you like.
Since making the shift to all-4K videos, I waited until I could find a sufficiently capable 4K unit. I settled on a "Campark TC07 4K 60MP WiFi Solar Power Dual Lens Wildlife Camera Trail Camera" ordered direct from Campark website and am very pleased with the results. Not only does it give me the high-definition video and photos I want, it's capable of running year-round using only its solar batter (with standard battery backup). Ask about it in the comments section if you'd like more details.
We have not received any free mechandise from Campark or been paid to speak about their products, so my opinions expressed here are solely my own. That said, if you would like to purchase the same camera used here, you can find it at: https://www.campark.net/collections/trail-camera

Weiner Bite Competition!!!?? - Whitehorse, Yukon
Just a fun, short clip from back in the day (2008) when we rode up to the Yukon for a motorcycle rally.
The goal of this competition is for the lady to elevate off the seat high enough to bite off a piece of a weiner hanging by a chain, while her guy attempts to ride slow and in as straight a line as possible, in order to give her the best chance. A good test of skills for a riding couple and not easy!

A Message to Canadian Gun Store Owners
It appears the CSAAA (the Canadian Sporting Arms & Ammunition Association) has sold out to Trudeau's Liberal government as it struggles to implement Bill C-21. It now stands to profit by collecting a commission for every firearm it helps the government confiscate. It will also report on any gun stores that do not fully comply with their requests for data. In addition, they will even be supervising the destruction our confiscated property.
There is a category of Canadians who are in a position to put a stop to this organization and that is the gun-buying public they depend on. This video addresses the question of who to contact and why the CSAAA's days will be numbered as a result of this.

Easter In the Foothills
Returned from our trip this Easter Sunday especially mindful of the blessings we have in our risen Lord, the beauty of God's creation and the family He has given us.
This video was taken yesterday as we toured through the foothills of Alberta with our oldest (of eleven) grandchild Tristan. Possessing treaty rights through his Ehtsu (grandmother), he is so eager to refine his hunting and shooting skills. This trip served to incorporate what he has learned because hunting is something you can't learn from a book; you have to go out and do it.
