Trying Kamikazevondoom's "VECTOR IS KING" Tank Bld /70 Min Playtest of Civic Center Sweep #Division2
Is it hype or does it live up to the sales pitch? The YouTube algorithm sent me to Kamikazevondoom's video titled "Vector is King", so I thought, "Hmm, let's try someone else's build for a change!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojMYNRdbS_w
1) First, is it good or bad? Answer: it does the job, but it's damage is a bit weak (see video). On a scale of 1 to 10, it's a 7. Unfortunately, my habits are wired to my own builds. So, I'm not playing this build to its potential.
2) It's not enough with this build to know the enemy spawns. You also need to know HOW YOUR BUILD PLAYS THROUGH those spawns. If you get flanked using this build, you're toast! But the only way to avoid that is to know the spawns beforehand so that your character can kill enemies as they appear. So, this is a build for experienced Players.
I don't have much experience with Hunter's Fury, so I had to play with caution. As such, my video does NOT reflect how a real Hunter's Fury player would play.
3) This is not a true Tank build. Tank builds are SAFE builds. This build requires you to take risks. This build needs you to be aggressive and agile. This build is loaded with clutch skills (Jammer Pulse, etc), and using those is how you survive... not by Tanking damage.
Please note, a single enemy is capable of gunning down this build even with the Defender Drone up. If you rush a cluster of enemies, you need to activate Jammer Pulse or kill one of them QUICKLY to activate Hunter's Fury disorient. Failing those, the Defender Drone will allow you to survive long enough to get to cover.
4) I don't like the Hunter's Fury set for one reason... past 15 meters, your set becomes useless for doing damage. Most fights, especially outdoor fights, happen at much longer ranges.
30% amplified damage through Spotter/Flatline is not great, but it does make solo Heroic playable. But this build will struggle in co-op play when enemies have their health/armor multiplied and other Players are using 200 stack Striker builds for 200% amplified damage.
5) Also note, when you fight within 15 meters of enemies their weapons become MORE EFFECTIVE. They'll inflict maybe double or triple damage because they shoot more accurately. You'll be within the optimal ranges of their SMGs and shotguns, both weapon classes do HUGE damage at short range.
None of this means the build is bad. It DOES mean this build requires you to react VERY QUICKLY to situations.
6) The biggest strength of the build is its power to quickly overpower small groups of enemies without stacking. If you know the spawns and play with confidence, then this build dominates. If you don't know the spawns, then enemies will quickly spread out and make the battle much harder.
7) The biggest weakness of the build is simply lack of damage. It has a hard time coping with chungas from NY. You can see in the video, my character takes a very long time to kill WONY chungas with shields... and one eventually kills her. When you need damage, this build won't deliver it. And this also helps prove Point #3, this is a not Tank build. If I felt my character could Tank the WONY chungas and do enough damage, I would''ve had her stand her ground. If she had a shield, she would've lived.
8) The second biggest weakness of the build is its inability to handle targets at longe range. As seen in the video, this build can't target Theo Parnell in the Tomb. I had to switch to St. Elmo's to target him. In MOST OTHER cases, a Hunter's Fury build should be able to close the distance... but not this time!
Here's what I would change:
- Switch Ninjabike Messenger Backpack with Memento or Sokolov with Unstoppable Force or a Lengmo with Perfect Unstoppable Force. This build NEEDS more damage.
- Switch Brazos de Arcabuz chest armor for Closer (Uzina Getica) with Perfect Spotter or Sokolov with Spotter (if backpack is also Sokolov).
- Switch Kingbreaker for an L86 or RPK 74 LMG. They are both more stable, have longer range, can use a Laser Pointer, have DTOOC as 2nd attribute (and therefore can have more Crit Chance), and generally inflict MUCH more damage with Flatline than Kingbreaker does with Perfect Flatline.
- Switch Jammer Pulse for a shield. Shield's absorb 4.5 million damage at level 6.
- Switch Picaro's Holster for a Hunter's Fury since we're losing Ninjabike backpack.
- Switch Backup Boomstick for an exotic pistol.
- Keep the Drone. Both the Shield and Drone benefit from Memento.

[Experiment Bld + Test 2] +130% Health-All Red Core/"Haunted House" /#Gameplay #Division2 #TomClancy
An interesting build, and can get the job done in Heroic, but I think it's time to experiment in other directions. We sacrifice too much damage for too little survivability.
The idea behind this build is that *maybe* you could tank with Health (instead of Armor) and still use all Red Cores and also not care about the Fragile Armor directive. So far, I'm not impressed with the build but I'll give it a few more tests in Solo play. Co-op tends to hide a build's weaknesses. This character's health is 792,000 with this build, which isn't enough to tank anything.
Tanking is "sort of" possible with Defender Drone and Firewall specialization (to gain back health per kill). The build begins fights with comparable damage to an all Red Core build, but the Ninja backpack definitely reduces damage at 100 and 200 stacks. If we use Striker pieces with +Health modifiers, health can reach around 900,000 at the cost of LOTS of potential damage.
Probably the build that makes more sense is simply two pieces of Palisade Steelworks and then use the Striker's backpack instead of NinjaBike backpack. Should yield around 500,000 health.

#Pandora - Where Eywa gives better connections than my internet... /67 min of newb #Avatar #gameplay
I miss having ISAC (from Division 2) guide me around the map with orange lines!
This is 67 minutes of #newbie #gameplay from #Avatar - Frontiers of #Pandora leading up our character's first connection to Eywa, the alien planet goddess. This area is around the first base you unlock. No builds, no weapons yet except for the beginner bow.
Learning how to move, fight, craft arrows, fix crap, and use #Navi sense ("x" button)! I'm still a bit annoyed that arrows don't fly farther than 3m!

Build is here, but it doesn't work until LMGs are fixed: https://youtu.be/0M8TYd2LspI
The video was SUPPOSED to be a test of a revised Ouro-Heartbreaker-Drone build using an LMG and Devil's Due backpack... but the latest patch has broken LMGs, in terms of their sound and some weapon talents.
The previous Ouro-Heartbreaker-Drone build variant suffered two problems, and IMHO these are "make or break" issues.
1) Bonus Armor was either too much or too little... feast or famine. 200% Bonus Armor from Heartbreaker set is clearly on some kind of cooldown, which means the gain is not unlimited and the armor set's mechanic could simply not work at a crucial moment in combat. It is hoped that replacing the Heartbreaker backpack with Devil's Due will smooth out the Armor gains in combat.
2) The build's mid-range damage is horrible with the Police M4. The goal of this build is to do solo Legendary missions. However, Heartbreaker and its available pulse weapons have trouble against the Black Tusk's Warhounds and Minitanks, and these enemies are common in Legendary missions. Being able to kill them quickly at a distance is unfortunately a deal breaker for any build that hopes to do solo Legendary. This is why St. Elmo's Engine is so widely used with Striker gear set.
Otherwise, the build is stellar in Heroic difficulty. But many builds work in Heroic difficulty, and the Ouro-Heartbreaker-Drone level of survivability isn't needed.
Until Ubisoft/Massive fixes LMGs, I'll have trouble testing these build variants because they depend on replacing the Police M4 with a Frenzy LMG (to address issue #2 above).

The video is a revised build of a build originally posted here: https://youtu.be/rHl0gsA7uDg. Basically, I replaced Coyote's Mask with a Blue Core Ceska and replaced Emperor's Guard with a Blue Core Eagle's Grasp.
The Ouroboros doesn't technically pulse any targets for Heartbreaker. However, it shoots so many bullets so quickly that one always hits the head of the target and applies a pulse to activate the Heartbreaker stacks. Usually, players use the Technician's Linked Laser Pointer to pulse targets, but I only use that on the long-range weapon the Police M4.

As the video title suggests, this Heartbreaker build gives amplified damage up to only 100 stacks while a full Striker set can grant 200 stacks. This is a huge decrease in potential damage, but this will not come into play for most Heroic fights. The question is... is it worth what we gain from Heartbreaker in terms of survivability?
Current thoughts after some gameplay: The build needs more armor in order to truly benefit from Bonus Armor. Four Armor Cores doesn't last long enough to tank (even though some my videos show pretty good survivability). Either the Coyote's Mask needs to be replaced with Blue Core Ceska or Murakami needs to go Blue Core.
I'm also not sure if the build even needs the shield if I had more blue cores.
Also note, the build probably kills faster than is seen in the videos because I'm not exploiting the SHD Exposed global event, and so the build is actually running with a handicap.

I'm also not sure if the build even needs the shield if I had more blue cores.
Also note, the build probably kills faster than is seen in the videos because I'm not exploiting the SHD Exposed global event, and so the build is actually running with a handicap.
The goal of this build is to replace the Striker PFE-Drone build used here with something more survivable and can move through solo Legendary easier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z5OzNHcMZ4

[Experiment Build & Test 3] "Flooded Levee" / Ouro-Heartbreaker-Drone Build /#Gameplay of #Division2
