🎵 - New Rock Music - The Who - Endless Wire - REACTION
Endless Wire is the eleventh studio album by the English rock band the Who, released on 30 October 2006 in the UK through Polydor Records and the following day in the US by Universal Republic.
It was their first new studio album of original material in 24 years following the release of It's Hard in 1982, as well as their first since the death of the bassist John Entwistle.
Endless Wire received generally positive reviews from music critics.[16] It debuted at #7 on the Billboard album chart and #9 in the UK.[17] Portions of it were featured on The Who Tour 2006-2007. Most of the songs from this album were used in the rock musical adaptation of The Boy Who Heard Music which debuted in July 2007 as part of Vassar College's Powerhouse Summer Theater workshop series.

🎵 - New Rock Music - The Sheepdogs - Talk It Over - REACTION
🎵 - New Rock Music - The Sheepdogs - Talk It Over - REACTION
The Sheepdogs are a Canadian rock band formed in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2004. The Sheepdogs were the first unsigned band to make the cover of Rolling Stone and have gone on to a career featuring multi-platinum album sales and four Juno Awards.
Frontman Ewan Currie, the band's primary songwriter, has described the band's guitar-driven blues-rock style as "pure, simple, good-time music"; he's said that the band aims to land in the sweet spot between Led Zeppelin and Crosby, Stills & Nash. Currie has further credited Creedence Clearwater Revival, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, and The Allman Brothers Band as influences on the band's style.
One critic has praised the band's "infectiously catchy, soulful, retro sound with beautiful harmonies and a pinch of southern rock."
The Sheepdogs are on the road frequently between recordings.[5] They have headlined tours across Canada and the United States, the UK, Eastern and Western Europe, and Australia, and have performed at a number of large festivals including South by Southwest, Coachella, Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.

Welcome to Long Live Rock!
Home of The New Wave of Classic Rock n Roll and New Music of all kinds!
These are my reactions and reviews to the new wave of rock n roll from classic rock artists from the past, and new classic rock artists from the year 2000 to the now. Plus other great new music I think is cool and far out and has groove, and everyone might like.
And who knows maybe a surprise or three with some great (IMO) rare classic rock tunes from before Y2K ;)

🎵 Very British! The Bluetones - Slight Return - New Rock and Roll Music - REACTION
🎵 Very British! The Bluetones - Slight Return - New Rock and Roll Music - REACTION
"Slight Return" is a song by The Bluetones, released as the second single from their 1996 debut album Expecting To Fly. A re-release, it was originally issued as a double-A-side with "The Fountainhead" the previous year. It peaked at number two in the UK singles chart and remains the band's highest-placing single to date. It was also included in the band's 2006 compilation A Rough Outline: The Singles & B-Sides 95 - 03.
The Bluetones are an English indie rock band, formed in Hounslow, Greater London, in 1993. The band's members are Mark Morriss on vocals, Adam Devlin on guitar, Scott Morriss on bass guitar, and Eds Chesters on drums. A fifth member, Richard Payne, came on board between 1998 and 2002. The band was originally named "The Bottlegarden".
The band has scored thirteen Top 40 singles and three Top 10 albums on the UK charts. Although their commercial success waned in the post-Britpop era, they continued to tour and release new records. Their most recent album A New Athens was released in May 2010.
On 28 March 2011, the band announced they would split after a farewell tour in the autumn. On 13 April 2015, the band announced that they would reform for a new UK tour. In Summer 2017 they co-headlined the Star Shaped Festival tour run by the popular Britpop club of the same name alongside the newly reformed Sleeper.
The London-based four-piece indie-pop band was formed in 1993. Very successful at the peak of Britpop in the mid-'90s scoring a debut number one album, knocking Oasis (2)'s (What's The Story) Morning Glory? from the top spot. The Bluetones just missed out on a number one single with "Slight Return" (arguably their most famous song), being kept away by Babylon Zoo's "Spaceman" (featured in Levi's TV ad). Scott joked that he actually bought a copy of "Spaceman".

🎵 Remix!?! - Whitesnake - She Give Me (2020 Remix) - New Hard Rock Music - REACTION
🎵 Remix!?! - Whitesnake - She Give Me (2020 Remix) - New Hard Rock Music - REACTION
Whitesnake is an English hard rock band formed in London in 1978. The group was originally put together as the backing band for singer David Coverdale, who had recently left Deep Purple. Though the band quickly developed into their own entity, Coverdale is the only constant member throughout their history.
Whitesnake enjoyed much success in the UK, Europe and Japan through their early years. Their albums Ready an' Willing, Come an' Get It and Saints & Sinners all reached the top ten on the UK Albums Chart. By the mid-1980s, however, Coverdale had set his sights on breaking through in North America, where Whitesnake remained largely unknown.
With the backing of American label Geffen Records, Whitesnake released their eponymous album in 1987, which became their biggest success to date, selling over eight million copies in the US and spawning the hit singles "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love". Whitesnake also adopted a more contemporary look, akin to the Los Angeles glam metal scene. After releasing Slip of the Tongue in 1989, Coverdale decided to put Whitesnake on hold to take a break from the music industry.
Aside from a few short-lived reunions in the 1990s, Whitesnake remained mostly inactive until 2003, when Coverdale put together a new line-up to celebrate the band's 25th anniversary. Since then Whitesnake has released four more studio albums and toured extensively around the world.
Whitesnake's early sound has been characterized by critics as blues-rock, but by the mid-1980s the band slowly began moving toward a more commercially accessible hard rock style. Topics such as love and sex are common in Whitesnake's lyrics, which have been criticized for their excessive use of sexual innuendos and double entendres.
Whitesnake has been nominated for several awards during their career, including Best British Group at the 1988 Brit Awards. They have also been featured on lists of the greatest hard rock bands of all time by several media outlets, while their songs and albums have appeared on many "best of" lists by outlets, such as VH1 and Rolling Stone.

Artists of the past, and new 60s - 70s style artists from the year 2000 to the now making new music from the classic rock era.
Great new music I think is cool and far out and has groove, which everyone might like.
And who knows maybe a surprise or three with some great (IMO) the 60s - 70s style music from before Y2K ;)

🎵 Ray Wylie Hubbard - Hellbent For Leather - (ft Steve Earle) - New Rock Music - REACTION
🎵 Ray Wylie Hubbard - Hellbent For Leather - (ft Steve Earle) - New Rock Music - REACTION
Ray Wylie Hubbard is the secret handshake amongst those who know. Earthy, real, funky, unabashed, his records have been swapped and played on the road by everyone from Blackberry Smoke and Georgia Satellites to Black Stone Cherry. “Snake Farm” alone could be the red-blooded touring male’s reality-based point of connection.
That passion for the man who’s as much a renegade poet as a roadhouse saint brought together an eclectic mix of guests for Co-Starring, his first-ever high-profile label release. Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh, the Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson, Ronnie Dunn, Don Was, Larkin Poe, Pam Tillis and The Cadillac Three were just a few who clamoured to jam, sing and generally be in the studio with the wizened icon.
The Austin Music and Eric Church-inducted Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Famer was born in Soper, Oklahoma, went to high school with cosmic cowboy Michael Martin Murphey and spent his summers playing folk music in Red River, New Mexico. It all added to an iconoclastic, hell-bent for truths and textures in writing about the way outlaws live – and added to his outlier bona fides that he made 16 albums without ever signing to a major label.
That’s all about to change for the go-to songwriter for Lucinda Williams, Hayes Carll, Pat Green, Jerry Jeff Walker, Waylon Jennings, Slaid Cleaves and Willie Nelson. Whether it’s bluegrass/folk legend Peter Rowan on the tender “Hummingbird,” emerging Nashville renegade Ashley McBryde on the tough girl homage “Outlaw Blood,” SiriusXM femme Fatales Paula Nelson and Elizabeth Cook on the randy “Drink ‘Til I See Double” or the trippy rocker Aaron Lee Tasjan on the elegiac “Rock Gods,” Co-Starring is a supple, musky affair.

🎵 The Surreal McCoys - Sweet F.A. - New Rock Music - REACTION
🎵 The Surreal McCoys - Sweet F.A. - New Rock Music - REACTION
Who are the Surreal McCoys? Your favorite new cowpunk band.” —LA Weekly
The Surreal McCoys are a gritty band of hardcore troubadours who worship at the moonlit crossroads of Americana and punk rock. Which sort of makes them an Americana Punk band… to the degree that’s even an actual musical genre.
THE BACKGROUND
The McCoys are a roots rock outfit with one foot in the garage and the other on a tippy roadhouse barstool. Their songs recall an era of lesser hygiene but greater guitar riffs, and come wafting through the car radio static of some far-off station as the band careens down the lost musical highway that connects the odd-numbered Hank Williamses to The Replacements.
THE SOUND
The blue collar “Johnny Clash” sound of their debut album The Bottle & The Gun vaulted them onto XM Satellite Radio’s X-Country’s Top 50 LP list, and earned them two songs (the title track and the cowboy ballad “$10 Hooker in a $5 Town”) in heavy rotation. The LP is available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Pandora, and in your finer truck stops. They’ve shared the stage with everyone from Camp Freddy to Robert Earl Keen to the Bottle Rockets (with whom they’ll be playing at the Americana Fest in Nashville on September 17th).
For their new album, The Howl & The Growl, they teamed up with veteran producer and alt-country/rock legend Eric Ambel (Del Lords, Bottle Rockets, Steve Earle, Ryan Adams, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts) at his Cowboy Technical Studios in Brooklyn and unearthed a more muscular vintage sound. They went in to make a traditional cow punk disc in the vein of Social Distortion; what they came out with is a raunchy rock ‘n’ record straight out of Muscle Shoals in 1974.
The band released their album on Sept 17, 2015, the day after the band playing with Bottle Rockets at the Americana Festival in Nashville.
“The Surreal McCoys are a unique blend of pretty much any musical styling that is cool—nods to The Stones, The Clash, Johnny Cash—and all performed with energy and a whimsical middle finger held high. Best played extremely loud, and with at least two tequilas already in the bloodstream.”
—Billy Morrison (Billy Idol, Royal Machines)
