Litheli E-Wagon - First Look and Testing
Link to Litheli's website: https://litheli.com/
Link to LItheli's e-wagon campaign: https://litheli.us/
Link if you want to participate in the commission group: https://ewagon-w1pro.kickbooster.me/boost (I don't participate in that and will get no commission if you order an E-wagon) I will never take commission or payment from companies who want me to feature products on my channels as I only feature products I will genuinely use myself.
The full capacity of the Litheli Eclair 1000 power station plus the removable batteries is 912wh + 74wh + 74wh (1060wh total).
This is a fantastic folding wagon and having the added benefit of being battery assisted means that it is a seriously good choice for carp / coarse fishermen who have a nation of gear to transport from car to waters edge or for campers, camper van owners, people carting loads of gear down to the beach or anyone wanting to easily shift 60+kg of gear from one place to another.
I'll personally be using this to cart all my gardening tools from Litheli (when they become available to buy in the UK) to every part of my garden for easier maintenance - I can't wait for them to become available and show you guys watching my channel.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the power station become available world wide as it brings something extra to the saturated market which so many people will appreciate and make genuine use of. Having the ability to charge and remove battery packs is great if you've got Litheli gardening tools so I wish them all the best with the launch and for the future.
During the testing for this video I loaded the E-wagon up with approx. 100kg of logs plus a 90kg fat man and it managed to travel under nothing more than battery power no problem - that's over 3x more than the recommended carry weight. This is a good product.
Check out the Litheli website for full details on products, prices and release information.
After shooting this video I found an adapter which allows me to connect the cable from a solar panel to the XT-60 input on the Litheli power station.
It can be found here: https://geni.us/cL3iIs
I assume that the power station will come with the necessary cables at launch - I was reviewing a model prior to full launch (it is / was an Indiegogo project).
This is the step up / step down transformer I was using in the power station video (because I have the US version and am in the UK): https://geni.us/lBW9Hv1
As far as prepping is concerned I'd rate power generation and storage as being way up there (probably behind guns and general hunting / survival / food production skills) in importance and that's why I review so many power generation and storage options on my YouTube channels .... YouTube doesn't like guns, lol
Thanks for watching - see you next time.

Early September UK Fungi Hunting 2023
Mushroom book: https://geni.us/UHenUIB
My Amazon review for the mushroom book: https://amzn.to/3WGLDlR
Food For Free book: https://geni.us/pMOj8I
This was a decent hunt with a good amount of Wood Hedgehog Fungus harvested then later dried in my dehydrator for storage.
I had an added bonus of finding a few sites which had a huge amount of Horn of Plenty which were unfortunately past their best and I'll be visiting those in late August / early September next year.
Wicker foraging basket: https://geni.us/0g6dRi
Dehydrator I use: https://ebay.us/Q5e11d
On a serious note, it is very important to learn as many 'outdoor' skills as you can since you never know when you need them.
Having knowledge of natural environments, shooting, trapping, fishing and foraging are literally life-saving skills since without them we die when the current system of on-demand food and easy shopping goes away.....and it will go away at some point - do you want to be the guy fighting a hungry 300lb man-monster or a bloated blue-haired screamer for the last packet of Super Noodles in a ransacked supermarket or do you want to be prepared?
Do you want your pronouns to be Was / Were? ........ nope.
It's a simple choice.
Knowledge is power but we're 'educated' to exist in the system without being taught what the system is and how to navigate the (obvious) pitfalls.
Knowledge costs nothing and can be carried in the mind, given away for free and used to combat ignorance - it's a great deal but takes time and effort to learn useful skills.
Foraging is most definitely one of those useful skills.

Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye 2
#shorts Skye is an amazing place to visit. It is located high up off the West coast of Scotland and I could happily live there. The seas are rich, the weather swings from perfect to extreme and the light is magical.
Added to that it's one of the best places in the UK to see the Northern Lights - it's a very special island.
The Old Man of Storr is a huge natural standing stone and is located a few miles North of Portree and is accessible by walking a mile or so up a steep path into a picturesque mountain range with rugged mountains acting as a backdrop. This location was used in the 2017 Ridley Scott film 'Alien Covenant' where the protagonists entered a cave to find an ancient painting depicting historic contact with alien visitors. That was a studio set but the scenery prior to entering the cave was real and is incredible. The shifting light, changeable weather and special views makes it a very worthwhile hike.
It's probably too much of a climb for mega-fat beasts but for people who haven't lost their feet through diabetes it will take a good 1.5 hours or so to traverse the steep footpath up to where the best views are. We saw many rotund hikers turning around half way up the mountain and I feel their pain since I'm 50 and not exactly in peak physical condition but myself and my wife loved the climb - we took our time and headed around the back of the Storr and up to the elevated viewing point since the views from there are even better.
The Old Man of Storr is 50 metres (164 feet) high and it dwarfs anyone standing near it.
We were very lucky with the weather and in early April we had 2 perfect sunny days. The days we traveled to and from Skye it was dull and colder so we timed it well.

Talisker Beach on the Isle of Skye
#shorts Skye is an amazing place to visit. It is located high up off the West coast of Scotland and I could happily live there. The seas are rich, the weather swings from perfect to extreme and the light is magical.
Added to that it's one of the best places in the UK to see the Northern Lights - it's a very special island.
Talisker beach located in the Northern part of Skye and is accessed by a right of way which is relatively easy to navigate, walking a mile or so down the glen past a nice farm with a great range of poultry and peacocks, on toward the beach with spectacular views on all sides.
This is a trip for people who couldn't manage the mountains as it is relatively short and flat although the access to the beach is over large rounded boulders so probably not a trip for elderly people or anyone with limited mobility.
Parking is on the side of the road leading down to the farm.
The beach is made up of a mixture of white and black sand which makes amazing unique patterns when the tide comes in and goes out. The sea is a vibrant blue color and the waterfall which plummets over the cliff to the right side of the beach drops around 90m. This video probably doesn't capture the scale of the waterfall or rock stack to the left of the beach - you've really got to be there to appreciate it.
We were very lucky with the weather and in early April we had 2 perfect sunny days. The days we traveled to and from Skye it was dull and colder so we timed it well.

The Fairy Pools are located in the Northern part of Skye and are accessed by a footpath which winds up a mile or so into the glen.
It's probably too much of a hike for mega-fat beasts but for people who haven't lost their feet through diabetes it will take around an hour or so to traverse the footpath up to where the best pools are.
A large car park has recently been built near the start of the footpath and any proceeds from parking charges go back into the local community for beneficial projects - they are listed on the sign near the parking payment meter.
When local projects are possible from parking charges I don't mind paying them. It was either £5 or £6 to park there ..... I can't remember but as long as the charge wasn't going to the centralized government I was good with it.
We were very lucky with the weather and in early April we had 2 perfect sunny days. The days we traveled to and from Skye it was dull and colder so we timed it well.

A Guide to USB Indoor Growing Lights
Basically 'daylight' spectrum for leafy veg and anything with a red spectrum for fruiting plants. Very simplified but true. Nothing will take the place of sunlight as that has everything every plant needs but if you're growing indoors these lights will allow you to take something from seedling to fully grown plant no problem.
Lights are available all over the internet and sellers come and go so some of these links may not be relevant by the time you click the links:
Daylight spectrum lights: https://geni.us/E7m5ogF
Full spectrum lights: https://geni.us/ZhDdasL
Finding the other types of lights is hit-and-miss so do some searching. I think I got the round lights from Ebay about 6 months ago but at that time they were also available on Amazon. Now I can't find them on Amazon but they will no doubt be available somewhere.......
Damn the internet, lol

September Fungi Hunt Clip
#shorts A clip from an old fungi hunting video and yes, I did refer to the parts of the immature Stinkhorn fungus as 'Bell End' and 'Shaft' but if you've ever seen a mature Stinkhorn fungus you'll appreciate that was an accurate description since it is a very ..... phallic .... fungus.

Wildlife pond filter (solar powered): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY287fn6p3o&t=5s
This package of solar panel, battery and pump seems to be a really great option for off-grid solar powered hydroponics systems.
It's certainly way better and more reliable than the small panel and pump I was previously using as it will run from first light to an hour or so after sunset, even on dull or rainy days.
I will upload update videos to the Thousand Yard Stare channel to keep you guys updated but I'm expecting great things from these systems this year.

4 in 1 Evergreen Complete 7 & 10 Days After Treatment
#shorts Evergreen Complete: https://geni.us/2gJq
A quick video to show the improvement after treating my lawn 7 and 10 days after using Evergreen Complete.
Currently I only use this treatment sparingly and once a year (usually around late March / early April) due to the chemical component repelling worms from the soil (copper?).
I only use it on the flat lawn shown in the video and not on my other lawns.
It works very well but over-use can result in the worms disappearing from the soil. They will come back after a few months.

It was the first gold I'd ever found after years of metal detecting so I was very pleased and it made it even better to find something which had so much sentimental value.
Yes, I did refuse money for finding it but I did accept a bottle of wine for my wife.

Protected Onions Vs Unprotected Onions
This is a follow-up to a #shorts video I made a few days ago showing how well the protected onions are doing towards the end of a North East Winter.
It is now early March.
The onions in the early part of the video which are unprotected were planted in early November and have all sprouted but have been open to the elements and have taken quite a battering.
Compare that to the protected onions in the latter part of the video - they were planted in early December so should have been a month behind the unprotected onions.
However.....the protected onions have clearly done much better through the Winter and are much more advanced. Therefore they will most likely mature faster and provide me with crops before the unprotected onions.
If we had the space I'd grow even more onions - we currently have over 350 planted but considering we use 2-3 onions per day I need to clear some more land specifically for onions. Ideally I could do with half an acre of onions....
The less we buy from supermarkets the healthier we are since here I use no pesticides or herbicides - the vegetable garden here is all organic.
Call me a tin foil hat wearing hippy but I think it's quite important to grow our own food considering that the clowns behind the covaids nonsense are planning to make GMO vegetables containing their MNRA vaxxines and other poisons.
At that point I transform into a pure carnivore and ignore store-bought vegetables all together, lol
Having a fully functional vegetable garden and hens is great since it is so easy to look after and maintain - it's the infrastructure and skills that take the time and cost the effort but it is time and money well spent.
Invest in yourself (and the land) and you won't be poor - skills are the new currency so I want everyone to be skills rich. Learn what you can, when you can.
Check out the other videos on my channel as I cover all sorts of self-sufficiency topics including gardening, bushcraft, fishing, off-grid etc. etc.
