In the Irish myth cycles, the land of TÃr na nÓg is the realm of the Otherworld, the place where the Fairies lived and heroes visited on quests. It was a place just outside the realm of man, off to the west, where there was no illness or death or time, but only happiness and beauty.
The golden path to TÃr na nÓg is open once more, and the greatest Celtic Storytellers have gathered for a once-in-a-lifetime journey. When they return, they’ll bring with them tales of the creatures they met and the adventures they lived. Over time those stories will become a saga — and the most epic saga will live on forever.
Play overview
Journey to the Otherworld by placing Storytellers between Story cards in the shared grid. When all Storytellers have been placed, draft cards and add them to your hand. From your hand, add cards to your personal tableau - one card to hand, one card played. At the end of 5 rounds, score each row according to the rules on its corresponding Goal card, and earn points for having the most connected Story cards of each color. The highest score wins.

The card game Velonimo allows you to depict the merciless struggle in the animal world for the distinctive and highly prized "petits pois-carottes" jersey rewarded to the best climbing cyclist. This trick taking game features ultra simple rules for an absolutely addictive play experience.
Goal of the Game: Race to the summit to score as many points as possible and win the covered jersey. To win a race, you must be the first player to get rid of all your cards. Racer cards may be played alone or in specific combinations of the same color or same value. There are also breakaway specialist cards which work alone to speed ahead of the pack.
Victory: The game has 5 rounds, each representing the ascent of a different mountain summit by riders in a cycling race. To win the round, yo need to get rid of all of your cards before any other player. Even if you are not the winner, you can still score points for your position. Keep playing until there is only one player left. At the end of each round, the player with the highest points total is the leader and received the coveted jersey. The player who receives the jersey at the end of the last round, after the final scoring, is the winner.

For the first time, your band which so far had mostly played in shady goblin and vampire venues has been invited to take part in the great TrollFest, where you will be the opening act for such big names like the Rolling Gnomes and Snow White and the Dwarves.
In TrollFest, each player manages a rock band in a fantasy universe, recruits the most talented and charismatic musicians, holds concerts in the main city, hires dragons for transport and light shows, and ends up trying to give the best act at the festival.
After an initial card draft of band members and action cards, players take turns moving around the map, performing shows and improving their band composition to score points. Once one player has completed their tour (by performing in a certain number of cities), the game ends and players score additional points based on their final band configuration.
TrollFest is a light, fun and thematic 3 to 6 player boardgame for friends and family.

The Boardgame Mechanics Review Around the World in 80 Days

October 2, 1872, Phileas Fogg is asserting that it’s possible to go around the world in 80 days. The gentlemen of the Reform Club have made a bet on his failure, since they don’t believe this eccentric dandy could ever succeed! However, the most troubling part of this story is the strange coincidence between the rash departure of Phileas Fogg, accompanied by his loyal valet Passepartout, and the theft of 50,000 pounds from the Bank of England!
The first lady or gentleman to return to London wins the game. However, since you left the British capital suspected of stealing from Her Majesty’s bank, you will have to return to London without any Rumor cards and 10£ or less in your pocket (or rather, in your hand) in order to prove your innocence in the eyes of the world! Players will quickly discover that moving too fast drains their wallet just as fast. To win, you will have to alternate between cautious and ambitious advances, waiting for the right moment to return to the city!
Around the World in 80 Days is a beautiful and modern reimplementation of the first ever Spiel des Jahres winner (the most prestigious Game of the Year award in 1979), thematically revisited around the timeless and beloved novel of the same name by Jules Verne.

The city of London has been shaken by heinous crimes, and Scotland Yard is groping in the dark. 13 Clues, set at the end of the 19th century, puts players in the shoes of the detectives, each trying to solve their own mystery. Each player sees the clues — person + location + weapon — for the other players but not their own. They investigate by asking questions, by consulting the secret informant, and by making accusations in order to collect clues and rule out suspects. The goal of the game is to identify which of the 13 clues match their case before the others do!

In HerStory, you're an acclaimed author, writing a book to tell the stories of remarkable women of history. Players take turns doing research, drafting chapters, and completing them for points and possibly for research symbols or special powers. The game ends when a player has written eight chapters, and the player with the highest scoring book wins.
The game is a light strategy game featuring engine-building and set collection. You do research by collecting research tokens, and by doing the right research, you can complete chapters about different historical women, for points.
Completed chapters grant abilities that make you a better writer, and allow you to score even more points as the game progresses. You can set yourself for big point windfalls with the right combination of powers.
The game comes with 120 oversized, linen-finish cards with beautiful illustrations of the featured historical figures on the fronts, and stories about their lives on the backs.

We designed Trekking through History for gamers and non-gamers to play together. The goal was to make a game inviting for non-gamers, but with a little subtlety under the hood for gamers.
In the game, you go on a three-day tour of human history, traveling thousands of years in a time machine to experience great moments from our past.
The game takes place over three rounds, each representing one day of your trip. Each day, you visit a series of historical events, spending a different number of hours at each.
On each turn, you choose to visit one historical event, and spend a certain number of hours doing it. Doing so will yield benefits, like checking off items on your itinerary for points, and earning Time Crystals so you can bend the space-time continuum on future turns.
Along the way, you’ll also score points for visiting historical events in chronological order.
The player with the most points after three rounds wins.

The Boardgame Mechanics Review Deadly Dowagers

1:12 - Gameplay Overview
9:45 - Final Thoughts

Deadly Dowagers is a game of marriage, murder, and money. You compete with the other lovely ladies in your town by strategically growing your dowry, while being careful not to gain too much infamy, or the duke may pass you over for another bride!
You play as a middle-class Victorian woman who would kill to be a duchess. Since you were not lucky enough to be born into the aristocracy, the only way to attract a noble is to have a large enough dowry. Fortunately, when your parents died, they left you with a small dowry and some land. You must build wealth through investments and strategic serial marriages.
Gameplay is divided into rounds; each round consists of four separate phases: drafting, investment, husband, and housekeeping. In each round, each player drafts a hand of cards, pick-and-pass style. Certain cards are played into players' tableaus. Instant cards are used and discarded. Players using death cards partially reset their tableau and get income. Players discard down to eight cards in hand, then draft four new cards.
The game ends when one player has no current husband, no more than 9 infamy, spends 120 crowns, and plays a remarry card to marry the Duke. That player wins.

Votes for Women is a card-driven game covering the American women's suffrage movement from 1848-1920, culminating with the ratification (or rejection) of the Nineteenth Amendment. The game provides competitive, co-operative and solitaire play, with co-operative and solitaire play against the "Oppobot."
To win, the Suffragist player must have Congress pass the proposed Amendment and then have three-fourths of the states (36 of the then 48 states) ratify the Amendment. The Opposition player wins by either preventing Congress from passing the proposed Amendment or by having 13 states reject the Amendment.
The game lasts for six turns - a turn consisting of drawing cards from the players' own decks, bidding on strategy cards, and then six rounds of card play where a player may play a card for an event or discard a card to campaign, organize or lobby Congress. If Congress has proposed the Amendment but neither 36 states have ratified nor 13 states have rejected, then the game goes to Final Voting.

You will have to choose: stop the round immediately or give the others an extra turn to try to extend the gap? Is it worth taking the risk?
The game ends when you reach 30/35/40 points (4/3/2 players).

"Kintsugi" is the Japanese art of using golden lacquer to repair broken pottery.
In Broken and Beautiful, players draft cards like bowls, cups, and tea jars to create high-scoring sets. As some pieces inevitably break, players must judiciously repair what has been shattered.
Whole pottery is valuable. Broken dishes are worthless. That which has broken and been repaired is uniquely precious.

Summer nights, the woods, and the campfires where it is good to roast marshmallows — it doesn't get better than this!
Well - that is about to change! Suddenly, out of the bushes, hordes of zombie animals are rushing towards you. Do they want to steal your marshmallows? Not at all! It's your brains they want to cube and roast over the campfire. Your goal in Oh My Brain is to rid yourself of these assailants — that is, the cards in your hand — as quickly as possible to avoid gradually losing your mind because losing your brain entirely means being transformed into a zombie...and losing the game!
The card deck consists of cards numbered 0-19, and to start a round of play each player takes three cards from the deck and places one in their "cemetery" (a card holder) and the other two in their hand. They then do this twice more to have a hand of six cards and a campfire of three cards. Each player starts with a number of brain tokens.
On a turn, you must play to the central pile (campfire), playing a number higher than the current highest number. You can play multiple copies of the same number, and if you do, you place all copies of that number after the first one into the cemetery of one or more opponents. You can always play a 0, which restarts the pile. If you play an 8, the next player must play lower than an 8, then the pile ascends again. If you play an 11, you take another turn. If you play certain high or low cards, you must roll the special die, which may have you play again, steal a brain from another player, swap campfires with an opponent, or take some other action.
If you cannot play, you lose a brain token, clear the pile, draw two cards, place one of those cards in your cemetery, then start the pile again by playing from your hand. If you have fewer than three cards in hand at the end of a turn, refill your hand to three from the cards in your campfire. If you have played all of your cards, success! You have fended off the zombie animals, and all opponents lose a brain token for each card in their hand and cemetery. If any player has no brains remaining, the player with the most brain tokens wins; otherwise, shuffle the cards and play another round, starting with the player who has the fewest brains.

Welcome to Sunny Day Sardines cannery! Competition is tough for the coveted Employee of the Month Award. Do you have what it takes to gather fish and pack the most orders? If so, then you’re hired!
Sunny Day Sardines is a fun and quick pocket sized game where players take turns gathering sardines and using them to complete orders for points. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins and is named the Employee of the Month at the Sunny Day Sardines cannery.
This travel size game even comes in a metal tin! Sunny Day Sardines is a family fun game with easy to learn rules suitable for all ages.
Game play is quick to explain and get right to playing. Let's find out how:
On a player's turn they can do one of two things: collect two fish from the market (two different single fish cards or one double fish card) OR turn in fish they've already collected to complete order cards from the display. Players will take turns until the last order card is placed into the display, then finish the round. Most points from collected order cards wins!

You put a coin in the machine and crank the handle, but you can't predict which Gasha you will get! These Gashas will be used to collect set rewards for points, and, sometimes, bonus tokens. You win by obtaining the most points!
On your turn in Gasha, you either draw two Gasha cards or trade Gasha cards for a set reward card, which counts as points while also being half of a ticket. As soon as you have two ticket halves, you draw a bonus token. When the last bonus token has been taken or when the set reward pile is empty, the game ends and whoever has the most collection, bonus and Gasha points wins.

Jason's Board Game Diagnostics of Purim

The Book of Esther describes the harrowing tale of a young girl and the fate of the Jewish people. The villainous Haman has been put to death, but his murderous plan lives on through his ten sons. You are loyal messengers of the King and Queen, tasked with putting a stop to the hatred infecting the empire and securing peace for the children of Israel.
Purim is a cooperative card-management and area-control game. You and your fellow messengers must work together to spread the King’s proclamation, represented by gold cubes, to all the far-flung provinces of the empire. At the same time Haman’s ten sons are trying to orchestrate the destruction of the Jewish people by spreading their false messages, represented by black cubes.
Every round each player will receive a set number of Action Cards that have a Loyal Action, an Evil Action, and an End Effect. Players simultaneously select one Action Card from their hand and then reveal it. The Action Cards are then processed based each card's number with the card's Loyal Action happening first before the Evil Action. Loyal Actions will generally add gold cubes to the board, move Messengers, or remove Sons of Haman while Evil Actions will generally add black cubes or move the Calendar tile forward. This process of selecting and playing Action Cards repeats until all but one card has been played in each player's hand. When this occurs the last cards are revealed and the cards processed in numerical order with only the End Effect happening. The round then ends and a new round begins.
The game end triggers when either the Calendar tile reaches the end of the Calendar, or players run out of gold or black cubes. If each Province has gold cubes equal to or greater than the number of black cubes, the players win the game. If even one Province has more black cubes than gold cubes, the players have failed the King and lose the game.
