Nacho Pile is a fast-paced, high-energy game that will have chips flying back and forth as players compete for full plates and stomachs. In the game, players must push their luck to pile their nacho plates high, but also cleverly snatch matching chips from other players. Don't get too risky or you will lose them all! Keep an eye out for special chips that really ramp up the heat with spicy effects.
On your turn you'll reach into the bag and pull out a chip. Continue doing this until you either bust or stop.
- You bust if you pull out a chip that is identical to another chip you pulled out this turn. Place all chips you drew this turn into the bag and end your turn.
- If you choose to stop, place all chips you drew in front of you. Then take any chips in front of other players that have the same number! Any chips that remain in front of you by the beginning of your next turn are placed onto your plate and are safe from being stolen.
The game ends once only one chip remains in the bag. Reveal that last chip. The player with the most of that value chip wins! If it's a special or wild chip, the player with the highest number of chips wins.

The Boardgame Mechanics Review Decrypto w/ Laserdrive Expansion

1:45 - Gameplay Overview

16:05 - Credits
Players compete in two teams in Decrypto, with each trying to correctly interpret the coded messages presented to them by their teammates while cracking the codes they intercept from the opposing team.
In more detail, each team has their own screen, and in this screen they tuck four cards in pockets numbered 1-4, letting everyone on the same team see the words on these cards while hiding the words from the opposing team. In the first round, each team does the following: One team member takes a code card that shows three of the digits 1-4 in some order, e.g., 4-2-1. They then give a coded message that their teammates must use to guess this code. For example, if the team's four words are "pig", "candy", "tent", and "son", then I might say "Sam-striped-pink" and hope that my teammates can correctly map those words to 4-2-1. If they guess correctly, great; if not, we receive a black mark of failure.
Starting in the second round, a member of each team must again give a clue about their words to match a numbered code. If I get 2-4-3, I might now say, "sucker-prince-stake". The other team then attempts to guess our numbered code. If they're correct, they receive a white mark of success; if not, then my team must guess the number correctly or take a black mark of failure. (Guessing correctly does nothing except avoid failure and give the opposing team information about what our hidden words might be.)
The rounds continue until a team collects either its second white mark (winning the game) or its second black mark (losing the game). Games typically last between 4-7 rounds. If neither team has won after eight rounds, then each team must attempt to guess the other team's words; whichever team guesses more words correctly wins.

Financial crisis has occurred. Sixteen "too big to fail" companies from four countries need bailing out. The central banks have unlimited financial resources, so lots of money is going to be printed, but the central banks also face disaster — print too much money and the country they represent goes bust.
In Q.E., a term that stands for "quantitative easing", you play the role of a central bank. You bid on different size companies to accumulate various levels of victory points. The amount you bid is unlimited since you are the central bank and you own the printing press! After the initial "open" bid by the lead player, the other players bid in secret. After the sixteen companies have been "bailed out", bonus victory points are awarded for company sets of nationalization, monopolization, and diversification.
Player markers on the scoring track now reveal which player has the most victory points, but this is not the end. Players must now add up the amount of money they printed and the player who printed the most money loses all their victory points!
Previous editions of Q.E. supported up to four players, with a fifth-player expansion being available separately. This new edition of Q.E. is playable with up to five players out of the box.

***RULES CLARIFICATIONS: The Rally car has a movement allowance of one tile. The features that allow extra movement allow for one additional space of movement and fuel must still be used. The only cards that need to be spent are the consumable cards. There is a point where in the video a toolbox is consumed and this isn’t accurate.***
The thrills of classic car rallying, from preparing the car and logistics, to the days on the road competing and assisting the car, in order to try to get it to the finish quicker than the others.
Classic Rally is the board game that brings the classic and historic cars world to the tabletop. This game emulates the features, behavior and even problems of real life classic cars. At the same time, it simulates the main features of real life road rallying, like road books, checkpoints, weather changes, hazards, service areas, assistance cars, overtaking other cars on the road, etc.
This is a strategy game with a great component of logistics, just like in a real life car rally. Fuel and tires management play a great part on this game. Properly understanding the road book and going the right way is crucial to succeed in this game, as it is in real life car rallying.
This game has an initial setup phase, where each player contributes to the construction of the board, by tile placing road segments - this makes every game play unique.
Each player manages 2 cars (one competition car and one assistance car), having to select the features of the competition car and what each car will carry. There are dice to influence weather conditions and car malfunctions. There are cards with car features (like sport suspension), car accessories (like fog lights) and consumables (like fuel). The cars are moved by using fuel cards, depending on its feature and accessory cards and influenced by the weather conditions and malfunctions.

In Haunt the House, we are ghosts competing to scare Ghost Hunters out of the various Rooms of our haunted house, and collecting their exploration gear as trophies. Each Ghost Hunter is scared out only by a specific combination of Scares. Each player has a hand of Scares they will use to try and get those Ghost Hunters out!
On your turn, do one of two things; Play Scares, or call BOO! When you Play Scares, you can play them face down to a Ghost Hunter (so that other players won't know what you've played), or face up (which gives other players information, but allows you to activate the awesome power of the Room that Ghost Hunter is in.)
When you call BOO!, point to a Ghost Hunter and reveal any facedown Scares, then (if more Scares are needed and if you have them) add Scares from your hand to finish off the Ghost Hunter. Congratulations... you've scared out that Ghost Hunter and grab their gear for your collection!
At the end of the game, the ghost who has collected the most valuable sets of gear wins the game!
The experienced version of the game introduces a variety of Phantoms; helpful allies that you can play to activate game-changing powers.

Distilled is a highly thematic strategy card game about crafting spirits in a distillery, with resource management and push-your-luck elements. In the game, you have inherited a distillery and are hoping to someday achieve the title of master distiller through purchasing goods, building up your distillery, and creating the world's most renowned spirits.
Use cards to purchase new ingredients and invest in upgrades to your distillery, all while eventually distilling the spirit and sending it to the warehouse. Once in the warehouse, age your spirit to enhance its flavor and bottle it to sell it for major profits!
Achieve the title of Master Distiller by having the most victory points at the end of the game. Points are obtained by distilling and selling spirits.

As winter blows in and ghosts start to appear, play "tricks" to the past, present, and future.
As turns progress, your foes will play - out of order - to any of these time periods, and you will start to figure out who might "lead" each trick. Even though you can play to the tricks in any order, the tricks will resolve based on who was leading. Can you figure out who will be leading or manipulate the leader to set yourself up to win tricks?
Points are awarded to whomever has correctly bid on the number of tricks they thought they'd win. If you’ve played as many hands as there are players, the game is now over, otherwise keep playing! Whoever has the highest score and collected the most wreaths wins the game!

Players compete to fill their room with the greatest total value of house plants, but lose points at the end of the game for any bugs or purchased plants they've been unable to meet the care requirements for.
Players purchase unique plants from the offer which each have their differing care requirements which consist of 3 types of resources (humidity, sunlight, water). Purchased plants can be cared for by collecting the required number of each resource from the common market of 4 face-up cards. Market cards are replaced by shifting other face-up cards down, allowing players to choose what cards are available for the next player, including possibly forcing them to take a score-reducing bug card. Wild cards and bug killer can also be purchased as an action, but every dollar left over at the end of the game is also worth points.

After years of experimentation in your shared laboratory, you and your fellow alchemists have just successfully transmuted common metals into gold! Now all that's left is to perfect the formula, repeating the experiments to find the perfect combination of metals that produce the purest gold.
Aurum is a trick-taking game for three or four players, with two teams of two competing in the four-player game. After all cards for the round have been dealt, you bid on how many tricks you think you/your team will win. (In a four-player game, the higher of the two bids on a team becomes the team's bid.)
During the round, you can lead with any non-gold card. On your turn, you must not play a suit that has already been played (unless it is a gold card). The highest number played wins, but gold is the trump suit and always wins. Whoever played the lowest non-gold card adds a gold card of the same number from the supply to their collection if it is available. All gold cards played in a trick are returned to the supply.
The round ends immediately when a player cannot play a valid base metal card and does not have a gold card to play or chooses not to play a gold card. If you win more tricks than you bid, you earn your bid value as points; if you met your bid exactly, you earn twice your bid value as points. Additionally, you earn points for the number of gold cards in your collection. The player/team with the most points wins a gold nugget, and the first to collect two nuggets wins!

In It’s a Wonderful World, you are an expanding Empire and must choose your path to your future. You must develop faster and better than your competitors. You’ll carefully plan your expansion to develop your production power and rule over this new world.
It’s a Wonderful World is a cards drafting and engine building game from 1 to 5 players. Each round, players will draft 7 cards and then choose which ones will be recycled to immediately acquire Resources, and which ones will be kept for construction to produce Resources each round and/or gain victory points.
When a card is fully built, it’s added to the player’s Empire to increase the player’s production capacity for each round. The mechanical twist being that the production phase works in a specific order. You'll have to plan your constructions carefully!
For a deeper insight of the gameplay, please follow this link : It's a Wonderful World - First steps
In addition to the base game, players can also enjoy expansions boxes introducing an innovative Campaign mode. Each Campaign offers a storyline to follow and many gameplay twists. At the end of each campaign, players will open a reward booster to unlock new cards, enhance their base game and keep a memory of what happened during the campaign. All the campaigns can be replayed and don’t imply game components destruction.

Design the best Animal Sanctuary while playing 5 rounds.
Each round, players will draw 3 cards, place one, and pass the rest (simple drafting phase). Each card is composed of 4 biomes, each containing an animal. When you place a card, you must cover AT LEAST one biome. The whole Sanctuary must not exceed 6 x 6.
Each game will have a different pool of scoring objectives. Each round will only count some of the objectives chosen for the game, so you'll have to modify your sanctuary throughout the game in order to score the most points.
At the end of the 5 rounds, the player who earned the more points becomes the winner!

You have heard this prophecy many times – one regarding the chosen hero that will save the Westland from a great and rising darkness. Those days are now before you, for Talimar the Starless – the Warlock Lord – is once again moving in this world. He has descended far below Castle Shadowgate, ready to release a creature of immense power upon the world and bring it into chaos!

Soar high upon your wings, like an eagle, as you seek to escape the clutches of king Minos. But beware, fly too high and the sun will melt the wax that holds your wings together... fly too low and the moisture from the sea will make the feathers too heavy to keep you aloft.
Flight of Icarus is a fast-paced strategy game for 2-4 players in which you live out the classic Icarus myth. Build your wings, then brave the elements as you attempt to fly from Crete to the Greek mainland. During the first phase of the game you will collect wax and feathers using an action point system, managing these resources as you craft your wings. You may also play innovations to aid you during your flight. Then, you will take to the air, struggling against both the weather and your fellow fliers during the tactical phase of the game. Bid for the oracle's favor, that allows you to play weather cards and act first, as you jockey for position in the air.
An engaging mixture of strategic resource management and take-that mechanics, Flight of Icarus is fully language independent during play. Even should you fail in your flight, there is no player elimination, so you can still attempt to stop your competition from reaching the other shore.

Stadium is a contest to see who can build the strongest professional football empire!
This is a worker placement game in which the board is a three-tiered stadium. Players must build on the ground level first as they sell concessions at games, buy equipment for the team, draft all pro players, and do their best to have a winning season. Players also hire employees who can inspire fans, sell more merchandise, train team members, and make building deals as they watch their franchise rise to the sky.
Players carefully choose business decisions, watch salaries and signing bonuses, and replace broken equipment and the occasional injured player. They gain bonuses if they choose the right actions and may end up paying extra if they are not first to build new amenities to their stadium.

Reiner Knizia's auction game about producing movies. In four rounds, players bid on chips representing genuine directors, actors, camera, effects, music, guest stars and agents (or in Nightmare Productions edition: creatures, locations, directors, musical conductors, cameos, and contractors). These all get placed on players' film-strips to complete the movie production. So one movie might need 2 actors (in editions prior to Nightmare Productions), but no music or effects and so on. As films are completed, the points value is marked and another film-strip taken. There are two parties (in Nightmare Productions edition: horror cons) each round where players get to pick from offers without paying anything. There are bonus points for first films completed and best films, best directors (in Nightmare Productions edition: best creatures), even worst film.
The auction is a basic rising offer with passing until one winning bid remains. Players pay into the pot with contracts (in Nightmare Productions edition: money), and the rest of the players share the pot each turn. So it's a closed economy with players trying to time to bid on what they really need to complete films.

The Boardgame Mechanics Review My Shelfie

You’ve just taken home your new bookshelf and now it’s time to put your favorite items in the display: books, boardgames, portraits... Who will show the best organized shelfie?
During your turn, you must take 1, 2, or 3 item tiles from the living room board (shared by all the players), following these rules:
• The tiles you take must be adjacent to each other and form a straight line.
• All the tiles you take must have at least one side free at the beginning of your turn.
Then, you must place all the tiles you’ve picked into 1 column of your bookshelf (a 3D display) to meet the personal goal cards, which grant points if you match the highlighted spaces with the corresponding item tiles, or the common goal cards, which grant points if you achieve the illustrated pattern. You also score points if you connect item tiles of the same type.
The first player who fills all the spaces of their bookshelf triggers the end game and takes the end game token that grants additional points. The game continues until the end of the turn of the player sitting on the right of the player holding the first player token.
The player who scores the most points wins the game.
A game of strategy and glance, different every time thanks to the variety of common and personal goals. The beautiful images of the item tiles will really give you the feeling of tidying up your precious shelf.

In Hickory Dickory, players control a team of mice competing in a royal scavenger hunt hosted by Lord Cuckoo! The mice will ride on a cuckoo clock's minute hand as they search for items that match their hunt card. The adorable mice will jump off the hand to collect item tiles and perform various actions that will help them gain berries, a.k.a., victory points.
Once the clock strikes midnight, the hunt is over and the mice will show off their scavenger hunt cards to Lord Cuckoo. Berries will be rewarded for rows and columns completed on their hunt card, and the mice team with the most berries wins!
