I'm ADDICTED to my Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo! - 9000 Mile Full Review
Install Raid for Free✅IOS/ANDROID/PC: https://clcr.me/D6yFNL and get a special starter pack💥Available only for the next 30 days
Welcome back to RBR guys & this is my own #Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo. Last time I drove it on the channel it was the German Press car Cross Turismo Turbo S that top gear had half destroyed off roading it. And what a car it was! The aggressive super wagon looks rivalled even the RS6, and the massive speed and practicality won us all over, so much so that I bought one and you guys viewed the video almost a million times.
As of today I’ve done over 9000(!?) miles in my 4S, in mere months as my combustion cars lay gathering dust.
Why have I been so addicted to it? What makes it better than my other daily #supercars? What did I love and what did I hate? These are some off the questions I’ll answer in todays review and report on living with my first #EV from Porsche, so let’s get to it and review my cross Turismo 4S!
So as a reminder - the two-tier Performance Battery Plus used in the Taycan Turbo S comes as standard in the CT, it’s just under 100kw size and it can charge from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes!
At home I use the CTEK Home Charger, as seen in the video:
https://www.ctek.com/uk/ev-charging/chargestorm®-connected-910-17028
The electric motors used are Permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, or PSM. These are always alive and give much higher output without overheating vs systems used in past Teslas. The 4S has a 600-amp pulse inverter which is our motor on the rear, and a 300 AMP inverter on the front too; and of course the 2 speed gearbox, 1st gear is mainly used in Sport or Sport Plus modes.
Technical Changes Vs the standard Taycan include a more off road and yet more compliant suspension, using a three-chamber air set up giving a wide range of spring rates & heights. The rear is way larger, we have 47 mm more headroom and a boot with 40 litres more and the all important hatchback - I’ll give you some storage tips on this.
The more important thing is perfoance however, here the 4S Cross Turismo has 490HP on the road and then overboost and Launch Control of 571. They say acceleration 0-60 is 4.1 seconds… this is a bald faced lie! Wait to see the launch info here.
Having done 9000 miles, I’m gonna focus on my experience with this car as my first electric vehicle. That means telling you guys all the things I discovered, things I loved, things that really irritated me, and in general why I’m sold on the Taycan as a product.
As an example, PCM in Taycan crashes with black screens a lot, so I give you a Debug screen fix to help owners. I discover how Lift mode is really useful, how to clean the rear camera which was not obvious (neither way vent control inside) and find an amazing dynamic ambient light option!
The main point I wanna put across, is how I feel living with this versus something like an E 63 or the M5 - which is where I see this car fitting! Today we explore:
- Taycan Cross Turismo 4S
- Performance Battery Plus
- Permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, or PSM
- 600-amp pulse inverter and 2 speed gearbox
- Technical Changes Cross Turismo Vs Taycan
- Suspension
- Internal head room and space
- Boot space
- Charging the Taycan at home
- Public charging
- Things I love and hate
- Interior review
- How to fix Taycan PCM issues

AMG’s Hybrid Assault Begins! 843BHP GT63S E Performance! Full Review 2023
The 843BHP GT63E Full video is sponsored by The Ridge wallet company! Visit http://ridge.com/rbr and use code “RBR” for 10% off!
At 635BHP, few have ever left a GT63S and said: that needs more power. Except maybe AMG, who took the world’s fastest 4 seat 4 door on the ring, and gave it an F1 derived 843 BHP hybrid power train.
This is the GT63S E Performance, carrying the same model designation as Lewis and George’s F1 car, it is the first car from AMG we get to drive that gives us a glimpse at every significant future car, which will almost all make use of the P3 Hybrid system this car has.
I’ll show you the tech, the new interior driver controls, the insane mix of EV and V8 sound, before we launch control the car onto Spanish roads and see what the future looks like.
The big flagship cars by #AMG coming in this new generation are almost all going to pair combustion with electric power in some form. The most powerful of those will use the type of system this GT63S E is going to show us in full force today!
That includes the top flagship versions of the new SL, S63 and every other big name to follow. As well as the next C63 and GLC63 with a 4 cylinder version, using even more AMG ONE hypercar tech.
So what is this P3 Hybrid? It pairs an AMG combustion engine with a hybrid system, developed with F1 and the Project one. This GT uses the awesome 4.0 AMG V8.
An engine that when used in isolation gives the current #MercedesAMG GT63S 635BHP and a 0-60 of 3.2 seconds.
This hybrid V8 GT, eclipses this with System power of up 843 BHP, 1400NM of torque, and zero-60 of 2.9 seconds
So, how does it all work?
First the engine changes: we have the same 4.0 V8. Where they added a belt-driven starter-alternator (BSG) which combines the alternator and starter in one component, and gives an output of 14 hp.
Then the big and clever change : the Electric Drive Unit or EDU. This is the electric motor, unlike having the electric motor in-between the combustion engine and transmission which is more typical, AMG have installed a super clever unit on the rear axle instead!
This compact unit houses some key things within it, firstly: the E-Motor itself which is a permanently excited one. There is also a 2 speed transmission where the 2nd gear is for higher speeds and finally a more familiar limited slip differential. Power is managed in a totally variable way, meaning both ICE and Electrical power can be sent to any wheel as required. In this set up, the EDU operates independently of the transmission, so it’s more efficient.
Theres a full EV mode possible too up to 130 km/h, it’s normally rear-wheel drive, but power can be sent to the front wheels via the cardan and drive shafts
Next: The AMG Performance battery! This is an always alive system, directly out of F1, and delveloped by High Performance Powertrains (HPP) Formula 1 engine forge in Brixworth and Mercedes-AMG in Affalterbach. Tech is shared with the HyperCar ONE.
This is a 400VOLT battery, with 560 cells and can provide continuous power of 93BHP, Or 201 BHP at peak for 10 seconds! This is added to the V8 engine’s base power!
It weighs 89KG which gives it a power to weight density of 1.7kw, which is double that of traditionally cooled systems.
The entire system adds around 200KG weight compared to the GT63S.
The new SL seems like it’ll benefit from a similar system, and the same is true of the upcoming S63. I wonder if the upcoming new gen of the GT 2 door will get it too? Hmm.
Will it be worth it? We’ll find out today.

BMW iX - I want to Hate it.. But it’s SO GOOD! - xDrive50 M Sport Review
The BMW iX episode is sponsored by Nord VPN! Go to https://NordVPN.com/rbr to get a 2-year plan plus 1 additional month with a discount. It's risk-free with Nord's 30-day money-back guarantee!
That intro was for the 90’s kids, a few Hadoukens, shoryukens, and a good old Shun Goku Satsu was enough to take out our collective frustration on BMW’s design team. Now I think it’s safe to review the new #BMW iX xDrive 50!
It’s all of BMW’s latest tech crammed into one conceptual vehicle that you can actually buy — and it’s in the form of a luxurious and fast #SUV — but these are two of the last things most commonly attributable to the ultimate driving machine. Add the design and we have the ultimate trifecta of no-nos for the purists. Have they totally lost their minds, is the tech so good that you won’t care how it looks, Is Rory Reid really the only person in the world who thinks it’s good looking? Let’s find out!
The IX is actually really important for cars you’ll car very much about soon. It features the 5th Generation E Drive technology - and it’ll underpin cars like the future all electric 7 and 5 series too and is thus wholly modular. Firstly the body - it’s not based on an X5 or something, Rather it’s a unique aluminium space frame with a “Carbon Cage” with CFRP in the roof. sides and rear = intelligent material mix increasing rigidity and less weight.
The new 5th generation unit Combines electric motor, power electronics and transmission in one unit - this saves space and gives far improved power output given it’s size. Unlike most #EVs like the Taycan or Mercedes models which use the same basic principle of Permanently Excited Electric Motors - The Motor in the IX is different. Its an electrically excited motor instead, so doesn’t require rare earths in order to use magnets. BMW say that it also has very high power density.
Our xDrive 50 has two motors in the front and rear, all feeding a single speed transmission, which sits in that same housing. And has a 105KW battery at the heart. All of that leads to Electric all wheel drive - fully variable power transmission. The rest is standard fare with - Double wishbone front, 5 link rear axle and our xDrive 50 getting adaptive suspension with two axle air suspension, Dampers controlled at each wheel. And finally, 4 wheel steering standard on the xDrive 50.
Performance and range are impressive. The normal iX 40 does 264 miles quoted, and 326BHP, but only charges up to 150kw in speed. The xDrive 50 has a 105KW battery which gives 380 miles claimed, in reality still a massive 320 miles as tested by me. It also feels massively fast with “Just” 523hp and a 0-60 of 4.5 secs. It charges faster up to 200kw too.
A BMW M iX M60 with 619 BHP and sprint of 3.8 secs will also come, but we will see if it’s needed.
The iNext concept previewed the marmite design, at almost 5 meters long, and 2 meters wide. It’s said to be a sign post for the future. More like a giant lighted billboard! CD aero value is good for a huge lego block, it’s 0.25. I think you can blame a lot of the shape on aero, and need to house batteries while giving big space.
The best part is the interior, with one of the best modern EV interiors I’ve seen! Big and easy to use touch screen, but also maintaining the iDrive knob to keep things safe. Huge space inside, but I was most happy about the SOUND of the car, playing when you turn it on and off as well as driving - courtesy of Hans Zimmer. It’s a really important car for BMW, as the i7 takes much from it as will future cars. Let's see how it does!

All the car we’ll ever need?! The new #BMWM M3 xDrive is very much a stealth option. You won’t see a single difference in exterior or interior design, and not even a single badge — very un-BMW! Almost as if M doesn’t want you to feel a difference. You can’t see any of the unique parts that comprise the XDrive #M3, so in typical RBR style, I’ll strip back the skin and show you what’s up!
The result is a BIG difference. This is the first-ever all-wheel-drive version of what is historically BMW M’s most important car. Customers are nervous enough already with the rear-wheel drive car thanks to the abandoning of the dual-clutch, the increased weight and the design choices. This extra if potentially makes things even more difficult for the traditional M customer, or maybe BMW M I pulled a rabbit out of the hat. Let’s find out today!
Firstly the RWD new M3 is already the king of its segment, a real #supercar with 5 seats. Yes, the front has a beaver face. We’ve seen car crashes with better design cohesion than this thing - I like the idea but maybe the execution could be less divisive. Regardless of that, it has a massive road presence with just the doors shared with a standard 3 series - we have huge rear arches, 4 series lights, staggered set up with 19/20 wheels for the first time on M3, and two big shotguns on the rear. Not ugly enough? You can get the M Performance Parts exhaust and aero pack. Please don’t.
The engine is a powerful 3-litre straight-six twin-turbo engine called the “S58”. It has parts that are 3D printed to reduce weight. Plus a Lightweight crankshaft, Forged pistons, a closed deck construction with a slightly larger bore and shorter stroke. All this allows it to rev higher to 7250 RPM. The XDrive comes with the ZF 8 speed only, in Competition spec! That means 510 BHP, 650 NM of torque and a super quick 0-60 of 3.5 seconds - let’s see if we can beat it with launch control!
The difference in 0-60 is more than the previous-gen M3 vs the M5. It’s literally a class or two above! All that is thanks to the XDrive, which is similar to the 340i but, this oneuses an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch in the transfer case. To give Fully variable torque delivery between the front and rear. But compared to the 340i, it’s extremely rear-biased: Only on the loss of grip at the rear do the front driveshafts wake up. The reason for this we’ll discuss when driving. It also features a torque control system for faster adjustments and the clutch pack is a beefed-up version with better oil cooling. FYI The front differential is an open differential without an integrated mechanical lock. OF course, you get 3 traction modes including RWD only “drift mode”!
As a final touch, It also has its own front suspension and steering tuning and geometry over the rear-drive car, plus the engine’s oil system has also been upgraded.
As for weight, the standard M3 sits at 1730, which is heavier than the 1640 previous car (manual almost the same 1670)
The M3 xDrive weight is 1780KG, a mere 50kg more. Some of this can be negated by options, like the Carbon roof - 23kg lighter than the sunroof, Lightweight bucket seats save 10kg, and the ceramics at 13kg So not a lot of penalties, for what could be a lot of benefits. Oh, and there will be an M3 Touring coming very soon, as M celebrates 50 years!

Porsche GT4 RS Road & Track Review! IT'S THE BEST!
How do you improve on the already epic GT4? Easy: Naturally Aspirated GT3 engine. 500BHP. In a mid-engine perfect Porsche. God my mind is blown.
That engine comes from the 911 GT3 Cup racing car and the 911 GT3! It revs as high as 9,000 rpm and has air intakes behind our ears. VS the. Normal GT4, it has an extra 80 PS, resulting in a weight-to-power ratio of 2.83 kg/PS. The maximum torque is 450 Nm. And 0-60 of 3.4 - but we absolutely smash this! The car is PDK, but the 7 speed is now sports low ratio - so lower ratio than the normal PDK, meaning more shifts and better traction.
In weight, it’s 35KG lighter than a GT4. CFRP components includes bonnet, front wings, less insulation, and there’s much more including even lightweight carpets! A Swan-neck rear wing with aluminium support, derived from the Porsche 911 RSR GT. The titanium tailpipes are inspired by the Porsche 935. The car has a 30-millimetre-lower ride height, RS vents on the front wheel arches, a fully clad underbody connected to the rear diffuser, an adjustable front diffuser & finally front spoiler lip with side blades. Both in the same ‘track’ settings, GT4 RS generates 20% more downforce than GT4.
The result on the ring, it’s faster by more than 23 seconds… with a lap of 7:04 seconds.
All of that is fine, but as a #supercar for the road, I want to know if it’s a good road car too, or just nths and tenths better than the normal GT4. I also want to see how it compares to the GT3 RS and GT2 RS with which the car will be inevitably compared.
Today we explore:
- GT4 RS full technical specs
- GT4 RS engine
- Performance
- Gearbox
- Suspension and Chassis
- Exterior design and aero
- Weissach Pack
- Interior
- GT4 Track drive

Mercedes Maybach’s 6 METER Insane Off-Road Coupé Concept!!
Virgil Abloh’s last EVER collaboration is with #MercedesMaybach! Sophisticated Luxury meets Outdoor Adventure in the Project #Maybach #ConceptCar.
Mercedes Benz have done some crazy concepts over the years, Like the Vision AVTR, but this one just might take the cake! In essence, it’s a 2-seater battery-electric off-road #luxury coupe. None of those terms make sense together but that’s what it is!
The X-Factor comes through in the dimensions — it’s almost 6 meters long! And towers over everything on the road, almost like a G Wagon Coupé! The concept features Extreme attention to detail, everything is designed from scratch for it and so much works!
More at home in the mountains than the streets, Project MAYBACH imagines a city brand pushed for the utmost in luxury adventure.
it’s huge and tall and built for the outdoors, looking much like a stretched G wagon with a big Maybach Grille. The tiny 16” wheels with their huge coarse tyres and Maybach mud-flaps are a sight. Then we have a roll cage over an all glass greenhouse. Additional vehicle-integrated lighting units are everywhere. The colour, black with Colorado- beige! But that’s no bonnet, it’s solar panels used to charge the battery! Crazy.
The sandy interior is Inspired by Japanese functionality. So they say, it’s just chock-full of adventure equipment, seats that can lie down or be removed from the car altogether. Luggage made to size for the car, and there’s even a damn ax that you can remove and use in case of a zombie apocalypse!
The coffee dyed leather is detailed by polished aluminum accents which connect to Maybach’s 100 year design history.
Dashboard - Chas a crazy screen which can turn 180 degrees to reveal a large screen allowing access to a unique Maybach computer game.
There are Maybach logos everywhere, so many that I lost count! But it’s this attention to detail that I really loved. That and all the hints towards G wagon — like the door hinge close sound, the light shape, and much much more!
Enjoy guys, this is a one-of-a-kind concept car

IT'S BACK! Reborn Mercedes SL 63 AMG First Drive - with Mr AMG!
FIRST DRIVE of the New SL ep is sponsored by MANSCAPED! Get 20% OFF + Free International Shipping with my promo code “RBR” at https://mnscpd.com/RemoveBeforeRace
The #SL is back!! Welcome to RBR and the car to follow the SLS, #AMG GT and S Class two door cars — is finally ready for us to drive in sunny California… scratch that. Pissing down with rain California. 😭
Last time we covered all of the technical changes that the whole new R232 model brings to the table, versus both the old SL and the previous #MercedesAMG GT roadster.
We discovered that it’s not a Mercedes Benz anymore, the SL now created by AMG making much like the SLS and GT, but taking tech from the new S Class. Pair all that to a return to a 2+2 layout — and it’s a recipe for one of the best AMG ever!
The car also shares its platform somewhat with the next generation AMGGT, so it should give us some great insight into the flagship Cars going forward.
As for performance, the 4.0 bi-turbo from C63 to GT Black Series returns. Here’s in our SL63 is produces 577BHP and a quoted 0-60 of 3.6 seconds thanks to the 4Matic — making its first-ever appearance in SL. The car also has the 9 speed MCT wet clutch, for faster shifts
The SL 63 gets adaptive ride control suspension and rear-axle steering up to 2.5 degrees. The cream on top is the limited-slip differential as standard.
Today we’re gonna see what the car drives like in the wet, aided by the four-wheel-drive system. Of course, the exhaust note (which is USA specification) is going to be of great interest, so I will show you what the new SL sounds like! Of course, I will also do I launch control of the new SL, which you will be very surprised about. I’ll also show you many specifications including the new hyper blue, sun yellow, and much more.
The SL has been trying to achieve a really difficult balance over the years of luxury and racing, trying to pay homage to the 300 SL sand the Pagoda. Our new car returns to the fabric top with a 25kg lighter z-fold roof. But equally, far more in terms of added rigidity, and all-new intelligent mix materials space frame, and even a dynamic plus package with active engine mounts.
Can the new SL return the icon back to it place as a top #supercar Sports model? Let’s find out today!!

2022 911 Carrera 4 GTS - the Sports Car you NEED!
Thank you to Insta360 for sponsoring this video! Purchase the One X2 that was used in this review! https://store.insta360.com/product/one_x2?insrc=INRYF36&utm_source=YouTube&utm_medium=KOL&utm_campaign=RemoveBeforeRace&utm_content=date20220308ONEX2
#Insta360 #Insta360ONEX2 #Insta360Wheels
The Sweet Spot 911 is NOT a budget GT3, or a Turbo! When it comes to #Porsche, #GTS are three letters that immediately invoke a lot of emotions. If you’re a Turbo customer, somewhere in the back of your mind, you know the GTS is the sweeter purer driver's car. If you’re lucky enough to be a GT3 customer, you’re also aware of how the GTS can get so close, yet is so much more usable in everyday scenarios.
So it’s easy to see why Car reviews, social media and forums are awash with comments deeming it the sweet spot, the perfect #911, hence the perfect Porsche. High praise, and from our drive in the Rear Wheel Drive, lightweight package version in Italy, it’s well warranted.
The truth is though, it’s not as fast as a Turbo S, nor is it anywhere near as sharp and exhilarating as the incredible GT3. But what it is, is anything and everything that you want it to be! First body style, cabriolet, targa, coupe? No problem. AWD and RWD? Sure. Steels or CCBs? Yep. Two seat GT buckets and Lightweight pack? Or maybe custom form printed buckets? Any and all options are available to tailor the sharpest side of 911 to your liking. Last time we tried two ends of the spectrum: lightweight RWD coupe, and 4wd plush targa. Today, is the Goldilocks car: A sweetly spec’d 4wd Coupe! All weather use, still the most sporty body, CCBs, and a practical 2+2 seats.
Now that Grand Tourismo Sport or GTS name of course originated in the racing series “904” car, then 924 GTS, 928 and int the modern era: Cayenne GTS. We’ll have a quick look at each one too!
But as far as 911 goes, the first proper one was in 997 generation and as today was a mid point between Carrera and Turbo. 991 and 991.2 #GTS continued the same formula, and are now the loudest you’ll now find in any generation.
The new GTS Continues the tradition, but adds even more than the predecessors. It’s got 480 BHP, which is 30 more than the S and 23 more than the last GTS. A healthy 570NM and a staggering 0-60 of 3.3 (Carrera 4 GTS) which we will test later.
More significant changes come under the skin, with it stealing the chassis from our 992 Turbo: this means we get PASM as standard the 10 mm drop. But this GTS does things the others didn’t: Our rear springs also feature the helper springs as seen in the GT3. Spring rates are much stiffer 40 percent in front and 20 percent in the rear.
Sports chrono is standard with engine mounts, launch control etc of course. Overall it’s a more rigid car than the standard Carrera. The car also features a slightly unique exhaust system. And more crucial removal of sound deadening particularly around the engine to let more exhaust note in.
The lightweight package brings a number of changes: more sound deadening removed, the 918 bucket seats in full carbon, lightweight glass all around the car, a lightweight starter battery, unique positioning for the active rear spoiler, and hidden further aerodynamic changes under our front-end. The final result is a 25 kg drop and a more focused car. If you want it.
But if it’s not a budget Turbo or GT3, then is it really that much better than the brilliant base 911? And If so should I buy one? Today we explore:
⁃GTS - every option! Cabriolet, Targa, manual, PDK, lightweight etc
⁃History of Porsche GTS
⁃904 GTS
⁃924 GTS
⁃928 GTS
⁃Cayenne GTS 2007

My New AMG G63 From Factory to Delivery!
Seeing my 2022 G Wagon Being built live at the historic Graz factory is one of the coolest things I’ve experienced, now on film for you! Huge Thanks to Ridge for sponsoring this video! Visit http://ridge.com/rbr and use code “RBR” for 10% off.
The #AMG #G63 is the most popular version of the iconic G Class model series by Mercedes Benz. First produced in 1979, the Geländewagen is the epitome of off-road performance and styling, and really a car we all admire in some way.
Way back when, the shah of Iran (a shareholder of MB at the time) suggested a Mercedes SUV should be built. So Daimler teamed up with Austrian companies Steyr and Puch, and began development of project Haflinger II in a factory in Graz Austria, where every G is still built by hand today! And that’s the factory we will be visiting in this video!
In 1979 when it launched it had three Variants, a couple of two door short wheelbase cars one with soft top, and the classic wagon look. Ladder chassis was the base, as it is today, with three locking differentials and a host of small petrol and Diesel engines — didn’t take long for It’s ability to dominate terrain to became infamous.
The base for the current 2022 G Wagon was made by #MercedesAMG, including it’s standard Mercedes version. It’s far more dynamic, luxurious and full of tech - but still a master of off roaring, as you’ll see later in the video!
I’ve ordered a new G63, and today we will see my car at the factory. You’ll be able to see the spec, I’ll add some parts to it too, all before it gets delivered at home at the end of the video! We will then check out the thousands of “G Manufaktur” options available, including classic paints like China blue, options for black arches and new black badges and much more. We’ll then check a classic grey G63 in a unique spec, and launch control the wagon too!
I’ll then take the car on some very dodgy terrain to see what it can do as the “schoeckl proved” beast. Spoiler — much poo comes out! 💩

New Aston Martin DBX 707 - The World’s Most Powerful SUV?! FIRST LOOK
Fastest, Most powerful, Best handling? The #AstonMartin of old never strived for such accolades, content in being the left-field choice for the more discerning (less ambitious) customer. But AML is under new Management, with Ex-AMG Boss Tobias Moers taking charge, he’s bringing his work ethic of being top dog, to the British Marque.
Now we know that the #DBX sits on a whole New SUV platform, clean sheet for the SUV. Bonded aluminium just like the #supercar Aston platform. Being their own platform has given them freedoms in terms of chassis, design and technologies. The shape of the car, its way way shorter in height than any of the rivals, smooth edges and short overhangs. Despite this, it’s class leader in interior space. Theres also a flat floor with no sill to climb over, making it the easiest in class to get in and out of.
BUT — The Urus had major performance advantages with 650 hp, 0-60 in close to 3 seconds… vs the DBX’s 540 and 4.3. Heck, a fully spec’d RSQ8 has 600 BHP and 3.8 seconds for 126k.
Enter the “DBX 707”. A 707PS and 900Nm beast, able to hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, we’ll on it’s way to breaking some lap records at the Nurburgring we think!
Head of Powertrain Engineering, Ralph Illenberger, the DBX707’s engine now features ball bearing turbochargers and a bespoke engine calibration, alongside new 9-speed wet clutch gearbox. Align with faster shifts, it allows output of to be increased to 707PS and 900Nm, increases of 157PS and 200Nm over the DBX.
The 707 features a new version of the electronic limited slip rear differential (e-diff) which is strengthened to handle the torque, with Power distribution is still automatic, with 100% able to go to the rear wheels.
The 707 still uses the Triple volume air suspension linked to the 48v anti roll system - it now features new damper valving and recalibration of spring volume switching. The electronic power steering system has also been adjusted too. And to top it off carbon ceramic brakes come standard at 420mm front and 390mm rear — giving a big 40.5KG reduction in unsprung mass, covered by bigger 23inch wheel options.
The design is like a DBS on steroids, with the biggest grille they have ever made, bigger air intakes, and and aggressive rear with huge quad pipes - see what the 707 exhaust sounds like later!
The Interior has New Dynamic mode buttons, with a rotary control in the middle and specific buttons for suspension, esp and exhaust. In the Drive modes, Race Start launch is available in GT Sport and Sport+ modes. And finally, they have even added soft close doors!
We’ll have to wait to drive it to see how it tees up to the Lamborghini Urus, and the record holding Cayenne GT, but the basis seems amazing!

Mr.AMG on the CLK 63 Black Series - The Perfect AMG!!
Download Fishing Clash here - https://fishingclash.onelink.me/dkOM/RemoveBeforeRace
Welcome my friends to the first episode of RBR Heroes!! For the longest time you’ve requested to see the Signature RBR style on some legends from the past, so this year we’ve already filmed 8 episodes for you, and it begins today with the first Black Series to truly leave a mark!!
This is the Mercedes Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series, and those keen-eyed will recognise it as Jezza’s (Jeremy Clarkson’s) beloved old car, now part of the Mercedes Benz UK Press fleet. It is a hugely significant car, as it came during a time of great change at AMG, a company that was back then known for straight-line speed and little else had suddenly made something aimed at Porsche gt3, so let’s explore it all and kick the series off with the CLK Black!
So let’s go back in time to 2007, AMG were nothing like the company they are today. They made hugely characterful cars for sure, but they were known for straight-line performance, ridiculous horsepower figures, and left-field charm. Take the CLK 63 for example. Sure it had the then-new legendary 6.2-litre engine, 474BHP, 0-60 just under 5. But the handling was poor, and that’s kind of what everyone expected. Amazingly, Gear paddles were a new thing, manual mode not automatically shifting up at redline, was touted as an amazing new feature. ESP that kind of switched off a little bit, also a feature.
Just look at what car magazine in the UK said:
“Or you could hold off until the next M3 arrives. It'll be fast, cost thousands less and still have room for four. And we'd put money on it driving rings round the Merc.”
That's never something we’d say about today's AMGs! So, back then AMG didn’t make serious cars. Then Bernd Schneider won the DTM in a modified CLK, and AMG quietly launched unbeknownst to the world, an ultra-rare CLK DTM. Only 100 examples, of which 40 were right-hand drive and 80 convertibles. Despite a list price of €236,060 it sold out, among those buyers were said to be Formula 1 racers Jenson Button, Kimi Räikkönen and Takuma Sato. And it was an insane thing, with 574BHP and 800NM coming from a supercharged 5.4l V8 capable of 200MPH and 0-60 in 3.9 seconds…. 17 years ago!
Then came the first-ever Black in 2006, the SLK. Carbon fixed room, transmission and steering oil coolers, aluminium strut brace, more power… clearly something was afoot at AMG.
Then the car that blazed the trail: the CLK Black Series. it was based on the safety car CLK 63 used at Formula 1. A bizarre comment for us today, as Standard production Line AMG’s are now more than able.
Unlike the then typical AMG Upgrade jobby of the 3k AMG body kit, some wheels and more power, the Black Series changes like the DTM were geared toward serious driving. And today I’ll show you everything!
The 6.2 engine, is legendary. Here it gave 500BHP, 0-60 4.3 secondsand 630nm of torque. It has a more extensive intake system to cool the more powerful 500BHP 6.2 engine, and a more free flowing and louder exhaust.
The rear track is 2.6 inches wider and the front track is almost three inches wider. A completely new suspension system, bespoke spring links, wheel carriers and thrust-, camber- and torque-arms; and ride height and compression and rebound damping are fully adjustable.
AMG wanted to it to be used o track extensively, so cooling measures are abundant and unique to the black. It has an additional transmission oil cooler and an engine oil cooler & a more efficient power-steering cooler.
It also has a multi-plate limited-slip diff again with its own oil cooler. Unlike other AMGs, ESP off that actually means off, and the 7 speed has a real manual mode that didn’t shift up on redline: sounds weird doesn’t it? But the change at AMG had begun
Head of development during this time was Tobias Moers. Father of all the best AMG product to date. According to him, his target was the GT3. These days it doesn’t sound weird, back then it was a jaw drop moment for a company that never came close to that experience.
But what makes there CLK Black, a hero? Today we explore:
⁃Revolution at AMG
⁃Standard CLK 63 AMG
⁃CLK DTM - the victory and special car
⁃Black Series - SLK 55

EQXX — The EV Mercedes with 1000KM Range!!
What’s the biggest problem we have with any #EV? Range.
Normally you'd add bigger batteries, a more boring egg like shape - measures that ruin both driving enjoyment and aesthetics. But Mercedes have decided to tackle the problem in a totally different way, focusing on weight saving and efficiency in all areas. The VISION EQXX is thus a range monster with 1000km achievable off a single charge! Not by installing a huge and heavy battery, rather, this has a smaller and lighter one! Instead, #MercedesBenz’s goal was the achieve more range using less! And it achieves this by making the car efficient in every other way, citing efficiency as the currency of the future for electric cars.
Who better to go to for kilojoule efficiency than the Formula 1 experts at #Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) in Brixworth? Mercedes-Benz and the HPP team developed a completely new battery pack. Almost 100kw/h size battery yet has 50% less volume and is 30% lighter than the one in the EQS at 480kg. They also co-developed the EDU, which houses the electric motor, transmission and power electronics. The power electronics unit is based on the one in the upcoming Mercedes-AMG Project ONE hypercar!
All in all, the battery and system gives 10 kWh per 100 kilometres (6 miles per kWh) - way ahead of current cars like the Tesla, and Porsche Taycan efforts. It also has an impressive 95% battery to wheels efficiency, compared to a combustion car which manages 30%.
Incredibly, the car also has a Solar Panel system on the roof, which provides 25km or range, or the ability to run the internal electronics.
As for the body - it’s inspired by natural forms and in partnership with innovative start-ups, engineers used advanced digital tools to lower weight and reduce waste by removing excess material assisted by 3D printing. Body in white construction is insane. It is a web like structure, with holes in it. Excess weight removed by using 3D printing methods to remove material in areas it’s not needed, then Humans take over and make the shape production ready. Areas like the suspension block holders, and even the wiper blade construction, all made in this strange but effective way. The car also uses a lightweight F1 subframe. The car is compact car size - with a 280cm wheelbase same as the 205 C Class.
Aerodynamics are so important for range, but so is design for the Mercedes customer. I don’t like the EQS, EQC etc I find them horrible in shapes. But older concepts with great aero balance showed that a better way was possible, cars like the Concept IAA and the legendary C111, or the more recent AMG Project ONE — all cars that the EQXX takes inspiration from. There is also significant Aero enhancements around the lightweight magnesium wheels, specific Bridgestone tyres and an innovative Diffuser extension I’ll show you too.
The final form looks like a C111/AMG ONE front, a CLS window line, and an IAA rear — altogether providing a crazy 0.18CD figure - vs the current world record holding EQS at 0.20!!
Cooling is key, and the car features a cooling plate at the bottom which does the majority of the cooling for the battery, with shutters on the front used only 10% of the time in hotter climates.
But will it be enough to battle close rivals like the Lucid Air, Tesla Plaid and others with much more power and similar range? In this first look of the VISION EQXX, we go over:
- Design
- Aerodynamics
- Older Concept cars - Concept IAA, Mercedes C111
- Battery Range and Power
- Technology & efficiency
- Bionic Engineering - blank slate to finished product in record time
- Interior Design
- Sustainable Materials
- And more!

Polestar Cars - Past, Present & Future! Full Review
The #Polestar Full video is sponsored by The Ridge wallet company! Visit http://ridge.com/rbr and use code “RBR” for 10% off!!
We are so used to our usual fare of electric vehicles, be it Tesla, Porsche and all other German and American efforts — it’s nice to see a fresh take from a new manufacturer!
Enter Polestar, a young company with origins lying in the Swedish Touring Car Championship, where the previously named Flash Engineering team rebranded as Polestar racing. They engineered racing Volvos, and in 2009 were acquired by #Volvo officially to modify existing models. Over the years they produced some interesting concepts, functioning as a mad scientists lab for Volvo #Cars, developing designs and technologies of a more experimental nature.
The first we will drive is the Polestar 1 - based on the 2013 Volvo Concept Coupe, which in turn had heavy inspiration from the classic Volvo P1800 gorgeous coupe. The majority of the upper body, including doors, bonnet and boot-lid, are made of carbon fibre reinforced polymer, to increase rigidity, lower weight and allowed them to create a top roofline otherwise not possible with steel.
Rather than a “by the way” hybrid, like most German attempts, the polestar 1 is a both feet in attempt at making a properly hybrid mix. Underneath the bonnet sits a 2.0-litre four-cylinder that’s both turbocharged and supercharged giving 308BHP - stolen from the XC90, plus 68BHP from an electric motor acting as a starer motor. These elements power only the front wheels.
The rear, gets a pair of electric motors with torque vectoring, giving another 232BHPm from a 342KG battery positioned in the center. That gives up 600BHP, 1000NM, and a 0-60 of 3.9!
Electric only range is claimed at 150 km, which sits there laughing at cars like the Panamera with it’s 30 miles, and the GT63S E at half that.
THE 2, also finds it’s routes in a Volvo concept car, namely the 2016 Concept 40.2.
Based on the Volvo CMA platform, so somewhat based on a Volvo XC40 : The body is created from five different types of steel, inc ultra-high-strength boron steel, for torsional rigidity. It has a 27-module, 324-cell battery, 78KW battery, in a unique T shape. The EV is a twin-motor drive system with front and rear motors are identical in size and output, delivering a combined 408 hp and 660 Nm, 4.7 seconds. The range quoted is 291 miles, which i5 gets close to.
The car we are testing has the optional Performance Pack - addition of Öhlins performance dampers, Brembo brakes, forged aluminum wheels, and tire. It also adds gold seatbelts that complement the gold Brembo brake calipers.
But will the unique design and thinking be enough to battle old-established rivals? Today we explore:
⁃The History of Polestar
⁃The Polestar 1
⁃Polestar 1 engine and tech
⁃Polestar 1 driving segment
⁃Polestar 2 origins
⁃Polestar 2 internals, battery and tech
⁃Polestar 2 performance pack
⁃Polestar 3 - big electric SUV
⁃Polestar 4 - Sporty suv, to sit under this
⁃Polestar 5 - the sleek electric sedan, likely based on the Polestar precept car

2022 EQS 53 AMG Driven! Speed, Range and Sound!
The Electric #AMG episode is sponsored by NordVPN! Holiday Season Deal! Go to https://NordVPN.com/rbr to get a 2-year plan plus 1 additional month with a huge discount.
This is the far we have been fearing, the day #MercedesAMG ventures into fully Electric “performance luxury cars” — a new phrase that they now describe themselves with.
The base EQS is a distance and range monster, with the EQS 450+ that we tested, covering well over 400 miles real world range. It also had a fantastic sound generation system to make the drive more emotional, and truly drove like an S-Class #EV.
The EQS 53 is a different animal, more about performance. Unlike the measly 333BHP of the 450, this car has 658BHP and 950NM from 2 electric motors and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.
Get AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package, and in RACE START mode with Boost function you get up to 762 hp and 1020Nm — and a launch of 3.4 seconds (80% state-of-charge). Stay to see what the normal car does on launch. BUT the range takes a hit, with just 360miles claimed, and the reality being less as you’ll see.
AMG have changed quite a bit, and I’ll show you everything. Such as the AMG specific electric motors which are slightly larger, have Special windings, laminations, higher currents/ raised limits, AMG's own control & Higher motor speeds
Further water lance cooling for high load capacity and multiple accelerations with consistently high performance.A Transmission oil cooler, which is also more efficient during cold driving and an Inverter with high-performance ceramics.
AMG Performance 4MATIC+ is at the center, with a continuously variable drive torque distribution checked 10,000 times per minute.
Air suspension is via AMG RIDE CONTROL+ with adaptive adjustable damping, and as in the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé, two pressure limiting valves continuously allow the damping force to be adjusted depending on drive modes. And finally Rear-axle steering is standard. Brakes feature AMG-specific i-Booster - which combines electric recuperation and hydraulic braking during deceleration and is optimised for AMG pedal feel.
The car has unique AMG modes too, with five AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive modes – modifying parameters such as the drive, output, suspension, steering, AMG Dynamics and AMG SOUND EXPERIENCE.
The standard fit AMG SOUND EXPERIENCE "Authentic" uses (special loudspeakers, shakers, sound generator) to generate the typical AMG drive sounds - wait till you see the launch control with ambient lighting!
But will it all be enough to differentiate from the normal EQS, or cars like the Taycan? Let’s find out!

2021 Golf GTI Clubsport - The Worst GTI?! Full Review
The History of the GTI episode is sponsored by MANSCAPED! Get 20% OFF + Free International Shipping with my promo code “RBR” at https://mnscpd.com/RemoveBeforeRace.
So guys, the performance version of the most famous hatchback in the world is here: the Mark 8 #Golf #GTI Clubsport! It’s the true halo car of #Volkswagen ever since it’s debut in 1975. The MK1 Golf had the difficult job of filling the shoes of one of the most popular cars of it’s era in the Beetle. But boy did it exceed expectations with it’s unique and now timeless looks, practicality and fun drive. But some at VW had an idea of an even sportier one. One that this small 8 person team started calling the Sport Golf: originally envisioned by head of press Anton Konrad, and engineer Alfons Lowenberg, both men spent their spare time racing and wanted to create something to keep up with Porsches on the autobahn!
So with a small team of 8 people they got the "Grand Tourer Injection" GTI signed off by the bosses in early 1975, for reveal later that year. The car had to look different to a normal Golf, it needed a different front end so people would know it’s fast enough to pass them on the autobahn. It had extra flared black arches, a unique tartan interior and famous golf ball gear stick. The car sat lower, made 108BHP could hit 180+ kph, 0-60 in 9. They estimated 5000 units when conceptualising the car: they were slightly off, with almost half a million sales in the end! So began the worlds most famous front wheel drive hatchback.
After this, almost every gen of Golf had the GTI as a halo car, and I get to show a bunch of them to you today leading from MK1, MK2, MK5, MK7 and more in-between!
The MK7 was the first get to bring in the Clubsport name too and finally — the Clubsport S bonkers car with no rear seats, manual only, over 300 BHP, and the ring record holder for front wheel driven cars: it’s one of the coolest cars I’ve driven!
Now our MK8. This brings in some changes under the skin: we have a lighter aluminium subframe as shared with the ring record breaker, stiffer bushings, and higher spring rates all round. The brakes also feature an electronic booster so they react based on driving.
Using a 4th gen version of the same EA888 engine, it produces 245PS, hits 60 in 5.9 seconds. Available as manual or with DSG, the car brings in a new vehicle dynamics manager as the brain of the car: able to control steering, diff, and the adaptive dampers which are optional, but a must have. Simply put, the new brain increases the breadth of ability of the car on both sides of comfort and sport.
The Clubsport seems to be a car that’s more GTI than the GTI. It comes early in this generation rather than an anniversary send off. Increase in positive camber, a 15mm drop in running gear, bigger brakes from the R, new springs and dampers on the rear, fruitier exhaust too. It has a huge power bump up to almost 300BHP, and cutting the 0-60 to 5.6. VW also relies heavily on that Dynamics Manager brain to make the Clubsport more focused than the standard car. Including a profile fit for the Nurburgring as we saw with Golf R. Styling wise, it looks meaner than any Golf too, R included.
But have they done enough to make it worthwhile over the closely priced and brilliant Golf R? Today we explore:
- The History of the Golf GTI
- Mark 1, Mark 2, Mark 3, Mark 4, Mark 5, Mark 6, Mark 7
- Clubsport S
- Mark 8 GTI Clubsport
- Technical Changes to Clubsport
- Performance figures

New S680 - The V12 Mercedes Maybach! 2022 Full Review
The S-Class Maybach video is sponsored by The Ridge wallet company! Visit http://ridge.com/rbr and use code “RBR” for 10% off!!
Without Wilhelm Maybach, the modern Mercedes, or even the modern car, might be a very different thing. He was designer of the first "Mercedes" which appeared in 1901, and was probably Gottlieb Daimler's most important partner. He can be credited with the first V engine, first truck, some of the first radiator designs, and a whole host of engines! He was also known respectfully, as the King of Designers.
That first Mercedes 35 he designed was supported by Emil Jellinek whose daughter Mercedes later named the model and the legendary car brand. The car famously had a then unheard of 35HP, long wheelbase, wide track and low height. Less carriage without horse, more modern motor car. After G.Daimler’s death #Maybach left after disputes with DMG and in 1909 Maybach was created, later renamed to "Maybach engine construction", as this was the main purpose of the company, with the first car not coming till a decade later.
He was best known for making engines for the huge Zeppelins, hence where the name for the most famous Classic Maybach car came from. Then, WW2 happened and the Maybach name went dormant — until the 1990’s, when Rolls and Bentley were in the process of resurging under new management, #MercedesBenz saw a void to be filled. So they tried to create a #luxury story out of Maybach’s genuinely fantastic achievements.
With that, the 57 and 62 were born. More expensive than any Rolls, loads of dealers opened in the USA, high sales predicted in various countries, famous people made ambassadors, features in rap videos, and glass box unveils in New York resulted in…. A total sales disaster no one really engaged with. Didn’t help that that MB press didn’t let journalists drive it, rather sit in the back. And didn’t help that the S Class of the time, was already a brilliant car.
November 2014, Daimler announced the revival of the Maybach name as a sub-brand of Mercedes-Benz — now renamed to Mercedes Maybach. Though they tiptoed in, with a longer upgraded S-Class with a borrowed body from an SE trim car, and some changes to wheels, window trims and an extended interior.
BUT it worked! Being at the right price point, and accepting it’s a tarted up S Class was something customers could jive with, and it was a sales success. So the two facelifts to follow were more daring, more Maybach, with the return of the grille and unique paint available. Then the big signal of change, literally, with the GLS Maybach. Applying the Maybach formula to a different Mercedes to achieve high luxury standards. Again a hit!
So we come to our car today: the new S-Class Maybach based on the W223 new generation S Class. There are tonnes of unique aspects, everything you’d see changed for an AMG for example, changed here on Maybach too or maybe more! Best bit is the bonnet, which you will love!
Size wise VS S-Class LWB, the wheelbase is a whole 18 cm longer. And all of that goes to the rear passengers. Will there be a pullman too? Quite possible I’d put money on it.
Paint is special too, with an optional dual-colour painting with a separating line. It is hand-made and takes up to 1 week to complete one car… unlike minutes to spray a normal S Class; Costs 15k.
As for the engine, here’s the good news it’s a V12 bi turbo! Yes while AMG said no more V12s, Maybach never made the same promise. Our S680 4matic delivers a smooth 612 and 900NM, and you can get a S 580 V8 hybrid, with 503 BHP.
Controlling the power is a new driving mode unique to Maybach called Comfort+, highlighted in rose gold on the digital display! Something we will explore in the video.
All the tech from normal S flows through, like Rear axle steering cutting the turning circle by 2 meters. The 16 airbags, all the top suspension options come standard, except for E Active body control which is optional. That should betray how good the normal S suspension is the Maybach hasn’t needed to do more specific things!
But since the new S is so good, can this ever hope to be even more of a luxury powerhouse? Let’s find out today!

The New S Class is Unbeatable! S400d vs S500 Review
This video is sponsored by MANSCAPED! Get 20% OFF + Free International Shipping + 2 Free Gifts with promo code “RBR” at https://mnscpd.com/RemoveBeforeRace.
The S is still the king, but it maintains it position by dominating in a whole new area : luxury in technology and software. It’s a powerhouse in intelligence and user experience, and you have to see it to understand it!
With this new w223 generation, the body uses more aluminium in the body in white, and less joins and more one piece structures to stop noise. It has more sound deadening too, and a worlds first new rear airbag system!
At 0.22cd, it’s almost the most aerodynamic car in the world, only beaten by the EV version of the car, the #MercedesBenz EQS. Pretty damn impressive for a “traditional” shaped car.
E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL active suspension offers more driving comfort and agility. It works with the air suspension, regulating spring and damper on each wheel 1000 times per second. But of far more importance is the safety feature: if the car detects a side on collision, it raises car in case of t-bone so the impact is on the bottom!
There’s further tech in your day to day driving too. The front lights feature Digital light- 1.3 million micro mirrors, and2.6 million pixels! With the ability to show projections on the road. Rear wheel steering is an option too up to 10 degrees, reducing wheel base by 2 meters!
The interior and its UI is where the car wins though, with the insanely advanced MBUX Operating System that helps take the experience of driving the new S-Class to levels the rivals can’t get close to. The advanced ambient lighting is not just about making the interior pretty, it interacts with you via the Voice Assistant, with safety alerts like blind spot and collision detection and much more! The Heads up display is huge, with a projection size of a 77 inch monitor, paired with the hugely customisable driver zone with 3-D screen makes for an amazing experience.
As #mercedes choice of engines, today we are testing the two most popular ones back to back, first the diesel! The S400d has 326BHP, a huge 700NM and 0-60 of 5.4.
And then the new 500, which instead of being a V8, is now a advanced in-line six engine with hybrid technology, as we have seen in the 53 AMG‘s recently! This has 435BHP, 520NM and a 0-60 of 4.9.
There’s also a bigger hybrid version with a huge battery: S580ewith 510bhp, 750nm and over 100km ev mode range!
But which one is the better car? And does it really have that much more advanced technology versus its rivals, to maintain its position as the king? Watch and let me know what you think of my verdict!

Porsche 718 GT4 RS! First Look at The Crazy Cayman!
The GT4 RS video is sponsored by NordVPN! Cyber Month Deal! Go to https://NordVPN.com/rbr to get a 2-year plan plus 1 additional month with a huge discount.
Naturally Aspirated GT3 engine. 500BHP. 1,415kg. The ultimate high-revving #Porsche engine enters the sweet mid engined 718 series of cars in the ultimate final Crazy Cayman #supercar.
The #GT4RS is the swan song for the 718 before a potential electrified future, and it’s going to be a special one! For this launch car, we have a Weissach pack vehicle, with Arctic Grey (same as Cayenne Turbo GT) And a wheel colour of Indigo Blue.
On the Nürburgring, vs the 718 Cayman GT4, it’s faster by more than 23 seconds… with an incredible lap of 7:04 seconds.
The engine is the naturally aspirated flat-six engine from the 911 GT3 Cup racing car and the 911 GT3! The engine revs as high as 9,000 rpm. VS GT4, the GT4 RS has an extra 80 PS, resulting in a weight-to-power ratio of 2.83 kg/PS. Maximum torque is 450 Nm. And an insane 0-60 of 3.4 which is bound to be faster.
It features also the 7 speed lightning fast PDK, rather wonderfully using the shifter knob from the new GT3. They also call it a sports low ratio PDK which can only be good.
In weight it’s 35KG lighter than a GT4. CFRP components include: bonnet, front wings, less insulation, and there’s much more including even lightweight carpets!
The wing draws attention. It’s a Swan-neck rear wing with aluminium supportsjsut as we first saw on the 992 GT3 recently released. It’s highly efficient and derived from the Porsche 911 RSR GT, with the GT4 RS logo embossed inside of it. The titanium tailpipes are inspired by the mega Porsche 935, and look amazing.
The car has a 30-millimetre-lower ride height, RS vents on the front wheel arches, fully clad underbody connected to the rear diffuser, adjustable front diffuser & finally front spoiler lip with massive side blades. Both in the same ‘track’ settings, GT4 RS generates 20% more downforce than GT4 for the same drag!
The best bit might be the PROCESS air intakes behind the windows. They improve intake airflow, but also create an intake noise for us.
In terms of chassis, it has ball joints which deliver more precise handling. The chassis is adjustable with an RS-specific shock absorber set-up, as well as modified spring and anti-roll bar rates.
The optional Weissach package gives carbon on the luggage-compartment lid, process air intakes, cooling air intakes, airbox cover, exterior mirror upper trims and rear wing. It also includes a roll cage and 20-inch forged aluminium wheels while forged magnesium wheel are a 10k option. FYI: There will be a CXX option allowing you to have a bonnet stripe like the 991 GT2 RS with the Weissach Package!
At 140K euros price, it gets close to GT3 but Porsche say they don’t compete: the GT4 RS is like your ‘weekend bike’, being properly hard-core.

Collecting my GT Black Series at AMG! Exclusive Tour of New Delivery Halls!
📱 Wallpapers of the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series by @shotbyjamieb - https://shotbyjamieb.com
🚨 Use code RBR for 50% off! 🚨
Finally!! Collection the #MercedesAMG GT Black Series! But it gets better, I’m doing it at #AMG and get to show you their amazing new delivery halls!
There have been so many issues around the Black. Price, sound, marketing, delays… but miracles have happened in the nth hour to make this #supercar purchase happen for me.
It’s my 8th AMG GT, i started with a love affair in the AMG GT S, a car I still recommend to people especially the pre-facelift. 15k miles later, I got the Beast of the Green Hell: the GT R, probably the sweet spot of the whole range. In between there was plenty of filler with the GTC coupe and roadster, but the GT63S stood out as a proper family Supercar GT DNA. The GT R Pro was forgettable: barely faster, not louder and way more uncomfortable. But it did give us the awesome experience of seeing the cars built at factory in Sindelfingen!
Now, no 8: the AMG GT Black Series. My car is a bit special, finished in Magno graphite grey, it also has the classic carbon ceramic brake colour rather than the boring black. Insider comfort seats and a lack of roll cage, and the proper interior of Black and orange!
You’ll get to see the unveil in AMG’s new Delivery halls. A special place for German customers only, as an optional extra you can collect your vehicle in one of three booths always a special show that is a surprise! The rooms are named after each letter of AMG, from Aufrecht to Melcher to Großaspach! And there’s even a special area for project one and Black Series customers called the paddock club!
Enjoy the video guys!! It was an amazing experience for me on a personal level, so I really hope you enjoy it!
Next up on RBR: the insane Cayman 718 GT4 RS! Subscribe to see that and more!

My 1st EV!! Collecting the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo from Porsche!
It's finally here!! After driving the Insane #Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo, and every other #Porsche Taycan variant, I could no longer resist the charms of Stuttgart’s hottest sports #EV.
It’s my first leap into the world of battery electric vehicles, and pretty nervous yet excited about the benefits (read: fuel and service cost savings). I’m also acutely aware it’s not going to work unless I can charge at home, hence installing the CTEK Chargemaster at home.
The Cross Turismo itself is a pretty practical EV. It had 47 mm more headroom than in the Taycan, a much wider and larger boot, and greater feeling of space in the rear: a real focus for Porsche’s team.
Unlike the standard Taycan 4S, the CT comes with the larger Performance battery as standard! It also has variable Ride heights - three-chamber air suspension provides a wide range of spring rates, and heights, ranging from High to very Low. And finally a unique Driving mode - Gravel mode, does what it says in the tin.
Having driven all the Taycan models, in our VS mode episode I concluded that the 4S was the perfect amount of power for the road, vs the slightly underpowered base Taycan, and the simply insane Turbo S. The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo has 490 BHP and overboost power for Launch Control 571 BHP: more than enough for the daily duties and occasional fun that this sport wagon will be used for.
I also discovered that you don’t need to go crazy on spec options on Taycan: with things like Porsche Torque vectoring, rear wheel steer etc being unnecessary for most builds. So I’ve also tried my best to provide a guide to ordering the “Goldilocks” Taycan, both outside and inside, and indeed all the complicated EV features.
Today also show you my second spec option that I didn’t go for, and every single detail on my new Taycan!

Audi RS E Tron GT is the BEST RS Car Audi makes!
Todays RS E-Tron ep is sponsored by MANSCAPED! Get 20% OFF + Free International Shipping with my promo code “RBR” at https://mnscpd.com/RemoveBeforeRace
I want to start with a statement: the #Etron RS GT is in a lot of ways, probably the best car the Audi Sport currently makes. I wasn’t expecting it, but I’ve been left more impressed than something like the RS6 which I personally felt was highly overrated.
Built at Audi’s Böllinger Höfe facility in Neckarsulm, the same place the built the R8 #supercar, #Audi says that the Etron GT is the brand’s new flagship car. Of course the E Tron is based on the same platform as the Taycan, which is the J1 EV platform, with much of the internal structure shared, but Audi are positioning this as more of a GT.
Today we will focus on this top dog RS version, and I’ll tear the skin of and show you every little detail before we launch control and drive Iron Man’s last car in anger.
The E Tron sits on a 800V architecture and shared underpinnings with Taycan, to an actually fairly significant degree.
So just like the Porsche, we have an 85KW battery with 33 modules laid at the bottom of the car, affixed around foot garages to give room for our legs, but still allow for that sleek look synonymous with this platform. The RS features two electric motors, both permanently excited motors or PSMs. Our rear axle also has the two speed transmission, the first gear for your acceleration, and the second for efficiency or providing more power later.
Of course, it’s a Quattro, and in the RS’ more dynamic modes the power is more rear bias as you’d expect. Suspension is where things diverge: Audi taking the route of a more supple GT car even in the RS version. The adaptive suspension standard in our RS is a three camber air suspension, with variable height of three stages, and adapts alongside the dampers depending on driving mode and style. Finally, we have Rear wheel steering up to 2.8 degrees too.
The base GT Quattro model gets 469bhp and a 0-60 time of 4.1secs, but our RS Etron GT is a beast. BHP starts at 590, launch boost giving 637.. Torque: 830NM. And a 0-60 of 3.3 that we test at 3.1!! Range could be better at 280 miles.
As far as exterior and interior design, this is my favourite EV in terms of aesthetics. Audi with all their etron product have kept things familiar to combustion cars but with still a very aerodynamic value of 0.24cd. Much more on this in the video.
But will it be able to stand out vs Taycan? And will it suffer from the same foibles that haunt the current RS line up? Today we explore:
- E-Tron and Taycan shared J1 platform
- Batteries
- Motors and transmission
- Quattro and diff
- Adaptive Suspension
- Performance figures
- RS6 ETron GT estate?
- Exterior design review
- Interior review
- RS E Tron Launch control

OFFICIAL! 2022 Mercedes AMG SL 63 + SL 55! Detailed First Look!
REBORN! The #SL is back with a bang! Welcome back to RBR my friends and fellow #MercedesAMG addict, and today I’m going to show you two of the most exciting cars that’ll come out of #AMG for years to come. In the last decade, the SL name hasn’t really inspired the awe and lust that it did in it’s hay day, living under the shade of the phenomenal SLS, AMG GT and S Class two door cars.
Today’s new generation car however, is a car reborn. It’s not a Mercedes Benz anymore. The SL is now Built by AMG making the SL for the first time in it’s 70 year history, an AMG only vehicle, just like the SLS and GT.
But it also pulls from the best of Mercedes Benz, ripping luxury and tech straight of the new S Class, and crucially, returning to a 2+2 layout that hasn't been seen since 1989.
Oh, and get happy, because both have a V8! This car also shares it’s basis with AMG’s next flagship sports car. So a hugely important video today.
The SL has had a weird history, so it’s not super easy to try and understand the SL’s so called new direction. Fact is, it isn’t really new at all, to me it’s a clever merger of all the SL’s traits from the past. Over it’s 70 years, the SL became a car of two different worlds - Genuine Racing heritage, and Luxury grand touring sales success.
So in the video we will go from the side of racing with the original w194, all the way through the 300 SL, and the turn to luxury with the Pagoda. There were faint flashes of racing brilliance whenever AMG got to tinker with an SL, culminating in legendary cars like the SL55 and SL Black. But they’re more flashes in the pan.
Through history, the SL has been trying to achieve a really difficult duality of character: one part race, another part luxury. Luckily for us: that duality is AMG’s speciality!
I’ll first show you the sport car aspect of our new car. Affalterbach knows how to make sports cars, with record setting cars like the GT Black. AMG thus brings much needed racing DNA into the SL. There’s an all new platform, new suspension options for the 55 and 63, and much more done which I’ll show you!
Performance? Yes it’s a V8, yes it’s the one we love: the 4.0 bi turbo masterpiece as seen from C63 to GT Black. Both our SL55 and SL63 use this engine. But the SL gets a new oil pan. This is paired to the 9 speed MCT wet clutch, meaning faster shifts. It’s also the first ever 4Matic all wheel drive SL in history!
The roof is a topic of contention: it Returns to fabric top like the 300SL. Means a lighter z-fold roof. It’s three layer with noise insulation and a heated rear screen, and maintains a much better side profile than the previous car. I much prefer this. 21kg lighter than vario.
The interior and tech takes the best parts from the S Class. Digital light features in our lights, the interior has the familiar new MBUX large screen but with tilting function, and the drive zone has SL unique screens surrounding by a cowl. The car also gets HUD, 360 cam, ambient lighting, as choice of sports seats, and much more!
Oh: and it’s now 2+2. Finally allowing the SL to differentiate itself from the GT family, and alloy more daily use.
Does it now have a formula strong enough to battle both luxurious GT cars and focused sports cars, and put the “Super” back into SL? Today we explore:
⁃The strange history of the SL
⁃The body shell.
⁃Rigidity vs GT roadster
⁃Aerodynamics
⁃The new soft roof
⁃Performance
⁃SL 55 Suspension
⁃SL 63 Active ride control
⁃Rear axle steering, limited slip diff
⁃Dynamic plus pack
⁃The tech and interior
⁃2 + 2 seats

BMW M5 CS: Utterly Mind Blowing - Full Drive Review!
The #M5 CS video is sponsored by CarVertical! Check if your car was damaged with 10% discount : https://www.carvertical.com/gb/landing/v3?utm_source=infl&a=rbr&b=38b26e3a&voucher=rbr
Behold the most powerful M car ever made, the M5 CS is an eye watering £140k new, but promises to be the most dynamic M Saloon ever. Sitting at 635BHP and 750nm, the 0-60 is even lower than the competition at 3.0, which as you’ll see is a conservative estimate (oh and 0-200 is just 10.4 seconds.)
It’s the latest limited edition M5 in a long history of limited M5’s in the past. When we did the history of the M5, you’ll recall it’s predecessor the M535i. Back then racing was all the rage in South Africa, so BMW SA with the help of #BMWM and AC Schnitzer made a Motorsport Limited Edition 530 MLE, with thinner lighter panels, unique wheels and design, all years before the M1! You could call it the first true M car.
E34 saw an interesting one too. With an edition made by an F1 driver called the Winkelhock edition. He stripped the weight with a smaller fuel tank, stripped sound insulation, lighter battery and less luxury items inside, it also had wider rear tyres and recaros inside! Some similar thinking to our car today. E60 saw a one off M5 CSL that was never sold. 110 pounds lighter with a carbon roof, more power at 580BHP from a bigger 5.5 engine, and a Nurburgring lap of 7.50!
More recent times saw the M5 30 Jahre edition: the then most powerful bmw, with 600BHP, only 300 made. But apart from some unique design touches, that was it!
Our Frozen Deep Green metallic car bring parts from all of the past cars into one mega M5. It’s 70KG lighter thanks to use of Carbon with an all new bonnet made of CFRP, and has air vents with exposed carbon fibre. Carbon front splitter and mirror caps come from the #BMW M8, and the rear spoiler and diffuser are also carbon. The intake silencer and engine cover are also carbon. We have a lot of sound insulation and other elements removed so all of this contributes to a reduction of 70kg vs the standard car.
The M Carbon ceramic brakes are23kg lighter than the M Compound brakes, and are in a unique red finish. The CS rides as standard on Pirelli P Zero Corsa track tyres measuring 275/35 R 20 at the front and 285/35 R 20 at the rear.
The suspension is shared with the new Competition, meaning new dampers from the M8, but retuned and honed to account for the lighter car. The bearing springs at the front and rear axle are retuned and damper control refined for the lower weight and the tyres’ increased performance.
And finally, we have bespoke engine mounts with a spring rating of 900N/mm, giving us rigidity and rapid engine response.
The coolest bit is the design, with the motorsport inspired yellow lights which activate in either low or high beam, or when unlocking the car. Gold Bronze details are everywhere from the grille, the side badges, the boot lid and as an optional finish on the unique wheels. Inside is a real highlight too, it only seats four, with 4 individual bucket seats. Detailed in mugello red and the Nurburgring logo on the headrest, there are loads of details which I’ll share with you in the video!
But it’s still a crazy price, so can it ever hope to justify it? Today we explore:
- History of M5 Special Editions
- E12 M353i and 530 MLE
- E34 M5 Winkelhock Edition
- E60 M5 CSL
- F10 Jahre
- M5 CS Design
- M5 CS technical changes

Last time on the channel, I drove what could be the sweet spot of the 911 range, the new 911 GTS. But many suggested that perhaps the Targa, is the one to benefit most from the #GTS formula… especially vs our hardcore lightweight coupé. So today, we test the brand new #Porsche911 Targa 4 GTS in beautiful Italy!
A very classy spec vs the super vibrant coupes we tried, our Targa GTS today is a much more daily 911. The design firstly, follows the same cues as the other GTS cars. Black highlights cover the standard the giveaway centre looking wheels finished in pure black, straight from our turbo. The sports design package comes as standard but with more black areas covering the front lip, and rear diffuser. These can be in either in matte plastic or gloss black, alongside the GTS logo on the side wing. Centre lock wheels from Turbo are an option, but we have the second option of the multi spokes on this car. Interior is also
Big changes also happen under the skin as always with #Porsche. Focus on rigidity, bringing chassis changes from our 992 Turbo with PASM as standard. The rear springs also get the helper springs as we showed you in both turbo and GT3. The Targa version, however, doesn’t get the 10mm drop of the Coupe and Cabriolet. Overall it’s a more rigid car than the standard Carrera. Regardless the car also has a unique exhaust note, which sounds fantastic as seen on the drive!
What the Targa does get though, is AWD as standard, as the Targa 4 GTS is your only option! In this configuration, the car provides 480 BHP, 570NM, and a 0-60 of 3.5 seconds!! (With sports chrono pack ;) )That’s super-fast considering the added weight of the Targa, but will it feel different enough to the standard Targa 4S, and enough GTS like the amazing coupe we drove? Today we explore:
- Targa GTS Roof operation
- Technical changes to 992 GTS Targa
- Exterior Design
- Other options
- GTS Chassis and Suspension
- Driving review
- Targa GTS Sound - Sports Exhaust
- Comfort driving
- Conclusion

V8 Bentayga: A PROPER Bentley! - Full Review
Welcome back to RBR my friends!! And to the New Bentayga V8! Big thanks to CTEK Chargers for sponsoring today's episode! Pick up the features products below and support RBR and our sponsors!!:
MXS 5 link: https://amzn.to/2WULaT4
MXS 10 Link: https://amzn.to/3iGQcKu
The last time we featured a Bentley it was the iconic continental W12, and we looked at the complicated history of the brand, leading up to their most well-known car!
Today we look at their least traditional offering, the luxury SUV Bentayga.
This is the V8 Bentley Bentayga in all its facelift Glory. It’s been updated to match the Conti and fly-spying spur in its facelift look, bringing the whole family in line visually, along with some significant updates inside.
So let’s check out this Verdant Green #Luxury V8 facelift #Bentayga. The story began with the 2012 - #Bentley EXP 9 F: Very much the brainchild of Bentley Chairman Wolfgang Dürheimer, he was also product chief of Porsche and pushed the cayenne through opposition back then! Undoubtedly the biggest success story for them also may explain why the first Bentayga looked so gen-1 cayenne from the year! The reception to this concept’s design was exceedingly negative, I mocked it too back then, yet when I look at it now… I think it’s aged exceedingly well. Maybe we weren’t ready for it then
The original thus played it a bit safer. A more round look, mimicking the conti from back then, similar lights front and back too. And the car was well received and did some amazing sales as now their best selling model. Last year it accounted for 37% of sales! Mind-blowing.
Now it’s been facelifted. And every panel has been redesigned from the front end, matrix grille is now more upright, new headlights cut crystal glassware and overall a more blocky, less round design. But crucially, in line with continental. Some details outside like the side wing with a lovely B motif are carried inside later.
It has a new full-width tailgate, via a 20 mm increase to the rear track width brings dynamic benefit and repositions the wheels in their arches to improve the car’s stance. The best part of the rear are the Conti style 3D elliptical tail-lights with animated LEDs and a Larger rear spoiler.
This V8 version had the 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged petrol engine which develops 542 bhp (550 PS) and 568 lb.ft. (770 Nm) of torque. In the future we’ll check our the V6 hybrid and the new Speed too!
The Portland and Cumbrian green leather
Interior features all-new seats and trim, and increased rear legroom. Main benefit is the next-generation infotainment system with a 10.9-inch screen, CarPlay/android auto as standard, and a smart digital driver zone.
