Porsche 992 GTS Lightweight Pack: Stealth GT3? First drive!
The Sweet Spot of the #911 series is back! This is the epic new GTS of the 992 Generation, With new more hard-core lightweight package specified on both our lava orange and python green cars!
The GTS name was first used in the racing series “904” car, and made a return in our 997 generation as a mid point between Carrera and Turbo. Ever since then, it’s wound up being a sweet spot in the 911 line up. Emotion and more racing genes than the Carrera, more sporting ability of Turbo, but in a purer package that’s still a great daily.
991 and 991.2 #GTS continued the same formula to great effect, with in my opinion better styling that even our new car, and the loudest you’ll now find in any generation.
#Porsche’s 992 is a big leap however, and because of that I’m not sure how Porsche can make the GTS that much better than the already brilliant standard cars. It needs to have more emotion, needs to have more driving ability and it needs to give that special feeling of the GTS. The design is better in person, with the giveaway centre looking wheels finished in pure black, straight from our turbo. Sports design package comes as standard but with more black areas covered either in matte plastic or gloss black. Logo on the side also gives the game away, but not much otherwise.
The real changes come under the skin, with the chassis from our 992 Turbo: this means we get PASM as standard, with the coupe and Cabriolet getting the 10 mm drop. Our rear springs also feature the helper springs as seen in both turbo and GT3. Overall it’s a more rigid car than the standard Carrera. The car also features a slightly unique exhaust system, wait for later in the video to hear this!
Our lightweight package car brings a number of changes: the 918 bucket seats in full carbon are a dead giveaway, lightweight glass all around the car, a lightweight starter battery, unique positioning for the active rear spoiler, and hidden further aerodynamic changes under our front-end. The final result is a 25 kg drop, and thanks to the removal of sound insulation much more emotional sound inside the cabin.
480 BHP, 570NM and a 0-60 of 3.3 (Carrera 4 GTS) tops off an impressive package. But can do enough against the brilliant bass Carrera and thunderous turbo? Today we explore:
- Full 992 line up: Carrera, C2S, C4S, Turbo S, Targa, GT3
- Brief history of 911 GTS
- Technical changes to 992 GTS
- GTS Chassis and Suspension
- Design changes
- GTS Lightweight package
- GTS Interior review
- 992 GTS exhaust
- Driving review

843BHP?! New GT63S E Performance V8 Hybrid AMG!
GT63S E video is Sponsored by BetterHelp! : https://betterhelp.com/rbr
Eight hundred and forty three horses. In a 5 seat family sedan. What monster have you created #AMG?! The beast goes by the name of the #MercedesAMG GT63 S E Performance, sadly a missed opportunity by AMG to call it GT73, despite having registered all the trademarks. Likely because they want to focus on the “E Performance” brand rhetoric.
Like the next C63, this pairs and AMG combustion engine with a P3 hybrid system, developed with F1 and the Project one. This car however, uses an AMG V8, namely the awesome 4.0 bi turbo found in modern AMGs.
The current GT63S is the quickest 4 seat car on the Nurburgring, and already produces 635BHP with a 0-60 of 3.2 seconds. This hybrid V8 GT, annihilates this with System power of 843 BHP, 1200NM of torque, and zero-60 of 2.9 seconds!
The extra power is thanks to the Electric Drive Unit or EDU. This a clever package on the rear axle with the electric motor "E-Motor", which is a permanently excited unit. There is also a 2 speed transmission for that motor and our usual limited slip differential. Power is managed in a 100% variable way, so both V8 and EV power can be sent to any wheel.
Theres a full EV mode possible too up to 130 km/h, it’s normally rear-wheel drive, and allows up to 12KM range only. This is also supported by the AMG Performance battery delveloped by High Performance Powertrains (HPP) Formula 1. It's a 400VOLT battery and gives continuous power of 93BHP or over 200 BHP at peak! Check our full video on the system below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmRw8h2rjgU
Today we have a full walk around of the new GT63 S E Performance, so we will check out what's changed in terms on styling and electrification both inside and out. I'll also show you want the car sounds like in Electric mode and with the V8!
Up next on on RBR is the new M5 CS, 911 GTS first drive and MUCH MUCH More!! Subscribe to support us and see them first. :)

2021 Mercedes EQS Drive Review: Is our Future Safe??
Today’s EQS Drive video sponsored by Manscaped! Get 20% OFF + Free International Shipping + 2 Free Gifts with my promo code “RBR” at https://mnscpd.com/RemoveBeforeRace
EQ began with the boring and soulless legacy effort that was the EQC suv: a car I hate the most in the world.
But it’s almost as if Mercedes knew it wasn’t enough, playing a desperate game of catch up in the EV world, as soon after came the stunning EQS Concept concept, and the Vision AVTR. The EQS especially, a Bespoke car built to be electric from the get go.
And now the production version is here, the S Class of electric cars. Built at the new Factory 56, alongside S Class, it’s #MercedesBenz’s best foot into the EV world, so will give us an idea how well the can succeed vs their combustion cars and external rivals: and indeed what AMG will do with it all! So a very important video today.
It features a new generation of batteries, with higher density, and the EQS can be charged with up to 200 kW at fast charging stations giving you 300KM in 15 mins!
Electric Drive Line is the focus here: with a permanently excited synchronous motor (PSM) in the EQS 450 RWD variant. The EQS 450+ gives: 333BHP, 568NM and a 0-60 of 6.2 secs! Top speed is 210KM.
Other territories get the #EQS 580 4Matic, and AWD #ev car with 523 BHP and two electric motors: 135 kW (front) and 255 kW (rear).
The chassis of the new EQS, with a four-link axle at the front and a multi-link axle at the rear, is closely related in design to the new S-Class. Indeed the size vs S Class is nigh identical with the same length, height, just being marginally slimmer.
Things like DIGITAL LIGHT headlamp technology (light markings on the road), and standard rear-axle steering up to 4.5 degrees (or order OTA update of 10 degrees) also come from S.
Design is weird though: it’s Cab-forward - What does that mean? Kind of like a Prius, with the a pillar closer to the front axle, short bonnet and boot. The plan was clearly distinguishing these from vehicles with combustion engines even at first glance : and it’s worked, but is that a good thing? It is the world’s most aerodynamic car at 0.2CD.
But today is about driving, and the best bit is the SOUNDSCAPES. We get two sound profiles (or off) to start with: Silver Waves and Vivid Flux, and I’ll show you what both sound like in the EQS. We will also check out the whole interior including the famed Hyperscreen with MBUX.
As an option, the EQS has automatic comfort doors at the front and rear. The door handles extend and the driver's door opens automatically: and much more that I can’t wait to show you!
As for the future: we already showed you the EQS 53 AMG. A performance version with 761 BHP, check the video to see the first details of that car. There’s also a smaller version of the EQS to be found in the EQE we recently reviewed!
But will it drive like an S? What does it all mean for the future? Today we explore:
- Kamehameha
- The technology under the skin
- Batteries
- Electric motors
- EQS 450+
- Similarities to S Class - chassis, suspension, tech
- EQS Comfort doors demonstration
- Exterior Design
- What could the EQS have looked like?

The Future of Maybach - Electric EQS Maybach SUV!
Big thanks to The Ridge for sponsoring this video! Visit http://ridge.com/rbr and use code “RBR” for 10% off!!
Mercedes-Maybach began in 1921 with Wilhelm and Karl Maybach building cars with the vision of “the very best of the very best”. Now 100 years later, #Maybach seeks to redefine this vision in the electric era, but surprisingly first with an all-electric SUV in this near production ready #conceptcar.
#MercedesMaybach say the electric drive train will make things even more luxurious and Maybach-like for the occupants. No firm figures on electric performance or range: but a vague mention of around 600KM. I would guess something similar to the EQS 580 in performance and charging.
Design is interesting, clearly EQ but clearly Maybach too. First the two tone paint with hand painted pin stripe: here in obsidian black and zircon red. Then the typical EQ black panel grille that wraps around into the bonnet and headlights. It has the vertical Maybach pinstripes that we’ve seen in every concept and production car, in a three-dimensional chrome-plated style but set inside the panel. The LED lights are “individual diamond blocks” with a mesh of the Maybach logo. And as usual you get the classic Maybach lettering on the front bonnet and the chrome line in the bonnet: but more interesting is the first EQ car with the Mercedes star.
The pronounced wheel arches are in high-gloss black, you have the typical “bowl” Maybach wheels, very well suited for aerodynamic efficiency. Side running board also in typical Maybach shape, and you’ll not the S Class style flush door handles too. Windows of course must have chrome, it’s a Maybach! Along with the logo on the C Pillar. But they also slapped a load of logos on the B Pillar, in an almost Louis Vuitton designer monogram style.
The rear is more EQ than Maybach, single bar light is slim like the Vision 6, lots of chrome used, and a surprisingly muscular quarter.
Interior looks close to production with the Hyperscreen from the EQS visible, but in a proper single screen, rather than the 3 joined screens in the production car. In the rear of the interior, it uses the familiar Executive seats and the Chauffeur Package as seen in Maybach and S Class. But it’s all exaggerated for the concept, with armrests designed like sideboards, trim elements in white piano lacquer and materials in deep-sea blue: Gorden Wagener’s obsession with yachts continues!

Mercedes EQE: Let’s be honest about this.
The make or break car is #MercedesBenz’s bid to conquer the #Electriccar world?! Based on the same EVA2 platform as the EQS, the #EQE is the mid level super luxury business sedan that borrows more than you’d believe from the EQS: like the self opening comfort doors, soft closing doors, the exact same hyperscreen interior, rear wheel steering, and much more!
The first model is this EQE 350, which is a rear wheel drive only model. It has a 90kWh battery with a staggering 660KM range. EQE charges 250KM in just 15 mins, all this despite having a smaller battery.
Great aerodynamics contributes to this too thanks to the one bow design and front cab shape, close to the world record holding EQS, with a 0.22CD value.
The EQE 350 provides 288BHP, a 0-60 of 5.6 seconds and Torque of 550NM. There will be a 4matic version to come, which will bring in another electric motor to the front with more power: over 500 BHP, and a quicker 0-60 of around 4 seconds!
Will there come an EQE AMG? I’d bet on it, check out video on the EQS 53 AMG to see what that might be like: I’ve rendered the EQE 53 for you in the video anyway!
I’ll of course compare the car to EQS directly, EQE is 90mm shorter. But about the same size as the E Class/CLS! And we will look at both the Electric Art and out AMG line exterior.
Interior is amazing, 90mm more legroom than E Class which is huge, and a benefit of the cab forward Design. The car has OTA updates - like sound experience which I’ll show you the 3 sounds for the EQE. It also gets digital light like EQS, and even driving modes for young drivers. The Hyperscreen is the same size as EQS, and is optional vs two sizes of Vertical screen like S-Class.

2023 Mercedes EQG Electric G-Wagon: First Look Preview!
This #EQG video is sponsored by NordVPN! Go tohttps://nordvpn.com/rbr or use code “RBR” to get a 2-year plan plus 4 free months with a huge 73% discount!
Forget the Tesla Cyber truck: there’s a proper G’s truck coming in 2023, and it’s the new EQG previewed at #IAA Munich by #MercedesBenz worth a production ready concept! And I get to show you every detail of what could be the most desirable EV on the road!
Stronger than Time Mercedes always say, but to last through time, it has to keep up with the times.
According the Mercedes, Arnold Schwarzenegger, made Dr Z promise that the next G will eventually become electric, and now it has. So finally an all-electric model variant of Mercedes’ utilitarian off-road icon! Maintains the classic look of the G, rather than being some kind of “swoopy” buzz lightyear spaceship, like the EQS, EQE and EQC. And all for the better. This just looks like a normal Mercedes Benz, under the Mercedes EQ brand.
The design is great, with a two-tone paint finish – gloss black on top, gloss SLS AMG aluminium beam on the bottom! The front has a black panel display like the concept EQS, with square off roading shapes inside. Though I suspect the final grille will be more analog like the EQS 53. Side lights, typical G wagon. Even down to the indicator ones! Lower mouth, again reminiscent of a normal G just as you want.
Wheels are in aerodynamic shape, mimicking AMG monoblocks of old with some G touches. It has an amazing roof rack, with a HUGE G logo on it, along with a bunch of other G details: like standard G wagon doors which will make the familiar sound. Rear too, typical with the normal lights and a replacement for the spare wheel with a storage unit to hold chargers! Great idea. Inside, no Hyperscreen here, just a normal G wagon interior.

Official! AMGs First Electric Car: EQS 53 AMG! First look
Official! The First AMG Electric Car: EQS 53 AMG! First look
#EV and #AMG: a contradiction in terms long feared by fans and petrol heads alike, and that fateful day has finally arrived with the AMG EQS 53.
It’s based on Mercedes’ flagship BEV, the new EQS, but massaged into AMG spec here at Affalterbach. Changes range from the design inside and out, Electric motors, 4Matic+, suspension, brake system and even an AMG sound experience!
The EQS 53 is powered by 2 electric motors and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. The standard car has a total output of up to 658BHP, 950nm and a 0-60 of 3.8 seconds. Power comes from 310kw on the rear motor, and 184kw on the front.
In the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package version of the car, RACE START mode with Boost function gives up to 762 hp and 1020Nm! And the 0-60 is a crazy in 3.4 seconds (when you have 80% state-of-charge however). Top speed is limited to 220 km/h, or limited to 250 km/h with AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package.
In terms of the technicals: Electric motors are permanently excited, and we have AMG specific ones for increased performance. Single speed transmission only, but lower weight more focus on luxury for this car. The car also has AMG Performance 4MATIC+ Fully variable all-wheel drive - as seen in the E63 etc. The torque distribution is checked 10,000 times per minute, and ensures that the most efficient electric motor is used.
The familiar AMG ride control+ air suspension is here too, in the EQS we have a new rear axle carrier, torsion bar stabiliser, bearings for subframe and engine mounts, wheel carriers and links derived from other AMG Performance models, and finally two pressure limiting valves adjusting the damping force, as in the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé.
Rear-axle steering as standard, steering angle of up to 9 degrees is a bit less than the normal EQS as the AMG has bigger wheels.
The interior feels like a proper AMG, with AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive modes being fully modifiable, unique software and driving zones (AMG supersport display), and AMG materials like micro cut suede, nappa
leather, red stitching. AMG SOUND EXPERIENCE is a big deal too: Mode "Authentic" uses special loudspeakers, shakers, sound generator to generate the typical AMG drive sounds. Dynamic plus pack adds another more powerful sounding profile called “performance”.
So lots done, but will it be enough for the AMG customer? With rivals like the smaller more sporty looking Taycan and Etron GT already in the market, is a big luxury AMG EV going to be able to convince? Today we can only explore the static car.

2021 Mercedes AMG CLS 53 - Race Mode Full Review!!
Thanks to Manscaped for sponsoring today’s video! Get 20% OFF + Free International Shipping + 2 Free Gifts with my promo code “RBR” at https://mnscpd.com/RemoveBeforeRace.
There are so many 53 #AMG cars now! E53 in sedan/wagon/coupe/cab, GLE 53, GT 4 Door… and then the CLS. Seemingly redundant vs the E53 and GT53? Think again! Pleasantly surprised by the updates #MercedesAMG has done to the #CLS. Let’s check them all out!
Bug changes come visually on the front end with a much more suitable AMG-specific grille, which is always what the car looks like it should have had, now matching the front look of its AMG GT cousin. Lower mouth also much more AMG style, and some nice new multi spokes finish the look of our stunning Designo Mystic Blue car.
Changes technically are sparse, unless you get the AMG Dynamics Plus Package. It adds Race Mode, Drift mode from the E63, red AMG brake calipers and the steering wheel controls to modify all the drive control options. No performance exhaust, but don’t worry: loudest 53 I’ve driven so far!
Power etc is the same: 435 BHP and 520NM base power. But add in the hybrid EQ boost, for another 22BHP and 250NM giving a 0-60 of 4.3 seconds (we test is faster).
But as there is no CLS63 anymore, does this do a good enough job of being an AMG? Today we explore:
⁃2021 CLS
⁃53 family of cars
⁃2021 CLS Facelift changes
⁃Vs old CLS 53
⁃Engine and power
⁃Hybrid ISG system
⁃AMG Suspension
⁃AMG 4Matic+ AWD

2021 GLE 63 S! Long Live AMGs V8! Full Review
630BHP V8 Super SUV by AMG! Big thanks to The Ridge for sponsoring this video! Visit http://ridge.com/rbr and use code “RBR” for 10% off!!
ML has had an interesting history. Mainly because it began one of the biggest niches we have right now: the super SUV. 1997 saw the first ML introduced in that Dinosaur movie, the lost world, as a bit of advertising for the new w163 “M Class” as it was originally known, the new luxury successor to the G Wagon.
A huge sales success, shortly after Mercedes allowed #AMG to get their hands on it and in 1999 they made the ML55 AMG, about 20 years ago! This had new independent front and rear suspension, a revised ESP, and more crucially a 5.5 litre V8, it was a modified V8 from the S Class with performance camshafts and other tweaks linked to a 5-speed auto, and it produced 347BHP, 0-60 in 6.7 seconds. 🤯
It was one of the first cars ever in the Performance SUV market. Well before things like the Range Rover Sport, a whole 10 years before the X5M and predating the Cayenne too: it was one of the pioneers of this huge market we have today. A true trendsetter, and the daddy of them all really.
The next version came in the w164, this time with our favourite #MercedesAMG engine ever: the M156 6.2 V8 from my C Black series, the SLS #supercar etc and so was born the ML63 AMG!! And what a beast it still looks, looking similar to the mad C63 w204 with its blocky front end and fog lights. We had adaptive dampening in the air suspension now, a better 7-speed box, and the engine gave us 510BHP and a damn fast sprint of 5.0 to 60! It sounded amazing, drove better than the last car… but by this time had stiff competition dynamically from Porsche. Though, in terms of emotion and design, what a thing.
Next came the W166, and the next rename to… GLE63. Now we have the loud one, the 5.5 litre V8 M157 bi-turbo. In its most thuggish form in the Mercedes SUV models, it was one of the first times you could order a performance exhaust. This brought a moderate power increase in gen 1, but gen 2 saw 585BHP, 768NM of torque and 4.2 0-60. So faster than the M4 of its time. And it wasn’t just the engine, it had adaptive anti-roll bars and ‘Active Curve’ from the S Class, and a 40-60 biased 4matic system.
The game has moved on very quickly after this car came out. Enter car’s like AMG’s own GLC63S, the fastest on the ring in class currently, Stelvio QV just behind it too, then the Urus. The first Super SUV. Signalling a tier above our old T Rex.
The RSQ8, based on said car, until recently the fastest on the ring… till recently thrashed by the new Cayenne Turbo GT. Yes, Sports SUVs smash ring records now, and are seconds away from track cars of old.
So our new GLE63S, has its work cut out. And it also has to differentiate itself from the very similar-looking GLE 53… Luckily, it comes from good stock. First the engine, the familiar 4.0 V8 found in everything from C63 to GT R: here it’s used in its first-ever hybrid treatment paired to an EQ Boost stater alternator as we’ve seen in the 53 AMGs. So while our combustion engine alone gives us a whopping 612BHP… the EQ gives us 22 BHP on top. And while the base torque is 850nm, it can call upon 250 additional when needed! Oh, and a 0-60 of 3.8 seconds. But we tested it quicker in the wet. Yeah.
But does it do enough in such a crowded hard-fought market? Today we explore:
- History of the ML and GLE
- W163 ML55 AMG
- W164 ML63 AMG + exhaust
- W166 GLE 63 S gen 1 + exhaust
- W166 GLE 63S gen 2
- New AMG GLE 63 S
- Engine and power

M2 CS Review + Akrapovic Exhaust & The Next M2!!
This could be, the last truly great M car, and also pound for pound, the most capable car I’ve ever owned from new. And today I install the Akrapovic exhaust at Litchfield, links below:
Akrapovic system:
BMW M2 CS (F87N) - OPF/GPF 2021 Slip-On Line (Titanium) - Akrapovič Car Exhaust
Litchfield: Litchfield Motors - https://www.litchfieldmotors.com/?ref=removebeforerace
5000 miles down and I can’t stop driving it. A true spiritual successor to the E30 in size, capability and notoriety. The M2 Comp by itself is amazing, but the CS brings in small changes in meaningful places to massive final effect, as any good run out edition should
The S55 engine is the twin mono scroll turbo in line 6 engine, same unit as we found in the previous M4. In the comp it made 410BHP, but in the CS it’s had a massive boost to 450BHP, 550nm. That essentially a 10% hike, the most any CS model has ever gotten. M4CS got only 10BHP, and the M5 the same, equalling a nominal 2-1% respectively.
Theres manual and DCT options, this being the last DCT we will see too sadly, torque convertors still not quite as snappy yet. Places the 0-60 at 4.2 for manual and 4.0 for our DCT car here.
So the power bump is BIG, and it’s that paired then with more typical CS changes that begins to elucidate why this CS is so so much better overall. New bonnet in CFRP - halves the weight, increases downforce on front end, and aids engine cooling. Same style design as the M4 CS, similar application to M5. Forged wheels are 9kg front and 10 rear and come standard with Michelin Cup 2s: i have replaced them with PS4S for better performance in the wet. M Sport Brakes are larger too, 400mm front and 380mm rear: 4 piston front & 6 piston rear callipers finished in red. CCBs also available for the first time which are lighter: something I’m thinking of getting installed by the Welt in Germany!
New carbon roof with a “sandwiched” design, makes the car more rigid. No trim strips on it, means better acoustics, and no roof bows or insulation either. These two paired up reduce the centre of gravity. Front splitter, rear spoiler and rear diffuser work in tandem to increase downforce and channel air underneath the body.
The biggest differentiator for me however, is the inclusion of the M Adaptive suspension. It’s the only M2 to have it, and comes straight from the M4. This gives us comfort, sport and sport+ modes all with altered damper settings. Now, where we have saved weight in places this and other changes negate that to make the car the same weight as the comp.
BUT don’t write it off because of that, these additions alter the character crucially in my experience, particularly in suspension where it’s now a more compliant daily, but more rigid when you need it to be!
Today I also show you the upcoming G87 M2, spy shots show a more traditional car, and part leaks from China show a normal M grille and squared off rally car looks… I’ll discuss the engine and much more!
Will the M2 CS be the last great M? Will the Akrapovic system add the needed emotion? Today we explore:
⁃M2 CS technical changes
⁃Engine and power
⁃Carbon fibre and weight
⁃M adaptive suspension
⁃Exterior design
⁃Unique CS parts
⁃Interior review
⁃Old Exhaust sound
⁃M2 CS Akrapovic Exhaust
⁃EXHAUST installation at Litchfield

718 GT4 PDK: Better than Stick! + GT4 RS Preview
This #GT4 PDK video is sponsored by NordVPN! Go tohttps://nordvpn.com/rbr or use code “RBR” to get a 2-year plan plus 4 free months with a huge 73% discount!
Choice is a blessing. Gearbox snobbery is rampant with “purists”. Dare someone buy the paddle option, they’re bombarded with “why?” or “should have got the manual” or “for people with no skill”. All the while, the same people worship the #Porsche GT2 and 3RS.
I don’t get hung up on such things. PlayStation vs Xbox, Marvel VS DC, M vs AMG… manual vs #PDK. I like to enjoy the whole spectrum, particularly when each has it’s own charm!
Now apart from that, though the 718 seems like a nip tuck, there are huge changes in the 718 version GT4 vs the previous gen. The engine for starters, is a whole new bespoke unit based on the current 992’s 3.0 turbo, but with the turbos removed and borred out to 4.0. Despite the size and stroke, its not related to the GT3 engine at all.
In the PDK it gives some amazing figures. 414BHP, slightly higher torque at 430NM, and though it’s 30KG heavier PDK GT4 does 60 with an official figure of 3.9 seconds… which is not true. Its much faster. Shorter ratio 7th gear, meaning slightly earlier shifts. Lower revs on motorway driving too, so the whole thing has more breadth of ability.
Further enhancements made to mechanical locking rear differential: in traction and overrun modes, it achieves locking values of 30 and 37 per cent as compared with 22 and 27 per cent - improving longitudinal/ lateral dynamics as well as traction!
Aero has been improved too, with 50% more downforce vs the previous model at 122kg of downforce! The diffuser is the big change, with a rising duct that helps air travel so fast through it, the car is literally sucked on to the road. And of course the Wing is larger than before, with 20% more downforce. Finally the chassis is essentially a mid-engined version of the older GT3’s.
The result is a time at the Nurburgring of 7:28, 12 seconds quicker than before, though that’s the manual time and not the PDK, though it’s likey to be similar.
After this comes the GT4 RS: 500 BHP from the 4.0 engine, likely PDK only, Swan neck wing 3RS like Naca ducts, new Center lock wheels and much more!
But how will it fare on the road, with both the new engine and PDK? Today we explore:

Finally an SL that is worthy of the icon! The next generation of the legendary SL Roadster is going back to the drawing board, taking some of it’s roots in motorsport back in 1952, and some from its later years. Today I’ll show you what I think the car looks like under the Camo, official news on the chassis, a look through of the unveiled 2+2 interior and finally every engine variant you can expect!
The last #SL seemed to lose it’s way. Being out gunned by the dynamically superior #AMG GT and S Coupé, and how it’s modern design barely changed didn’t help at all. I oft complained myself, that it should have maintained itself as a 4 seater to differentiate vs the GT.
Mercedes understands it’s customers well. So well in fact, that they relinquished responsibility to create the new SL to #MercedesAMG who have made a completely new vehicle architecture developed by. The company that made the SLR, SLS AMG, and AMG GT from scratch. Now the SL returns to 2+2 seating configuration for the first time since 1989 (R 129). This gives the SL a unique place in the line up, vs the AMG GT which is being developed alongside the SL using this same platform in a new generation, as a 2 seat coupe. There will no longer be an AMG GT roadster, with the new SL here.
The SL name comes from Super Light, so it’s only right we start by talking about the new SL with it’s chassis. The old SL was a tubular space frame structure that allowed high rigidity but forced the use of gullwing doors. The new one has a much wider focus: on driving dynamics, comfort, low weight, 2+2 seats and the potential to accommodate a wide range of drive systems.
So it uses intelligent material composition of aluminium, steel, magnesium and glass and carbon fibre composites. The body shell by itself, weighs only 270KG! Crucially. Not a single component was taken over from the preceding SL model or, for example, from the AMG GT Roadster.
The result: even compared to the AMG GT roadster the transverse rigidity is 50 percent higher while the longitudinal rigidity is 40 percent higher!!
Every new SL will thus be exclusively an AMG variant. And I’ll go over which models I think we will see along with all the design highlights. As this is now the Mercedes AMG SL, there will only be AMG variants much like the GT 4 door. Rumour has it that the 43 and 53 will adopt the reworked A45 engine that’s finding it’s way into the new 4cylinder C63, a longitudinally mounted M139 in a likely to be rear wheel drive car. The next one is likely the AMG SL53 4matic+. Using the same set up as the 43, but with an additional P3 hybrid system on the rear axle, and a fully variable all wheel drive with drift mode. Though the system adds 200kg weight, gives consistent power of 93BHP continuous, or a peak of 201BHP for 10 seconds, and 320NM too! All of this in additional to the combustion engine means a base horsepower figure of over 540BHP for the 53!
Interestingly, it’ll be built at Bremen rather than Sindlefingen, where the S Class And GT have been built.
Today we explore:
⁃The previous SL’s uselessness
⁃New r232 Mercedes AMG SL
⁃Defining factors
⁃Chassis of 300 SL
⁃NEW chassis and platform
⁃Rigidity vs AMG GT
⁃Design of the new SL

New variants are no surprise from the company renowned for making variants, but it IS surprising when the guys from Weissach give their treasured GT name to something other than a 911 track car. But here we are, with a Nurburgring time of 7.38 via Lars Kern, and less allocation than the sought after GT3 track car!
It’s only available only as a Coupé, the Turbo GT is finished in Arctic Grey and comes standard with all Chassis systems: PDCC, PTV+, RWS and Carbon ceramics: and that’s just the start!
The V8 has been thoroughly upgraded by Weissach, with increased boost pressure, new crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, timing chain drive and torsional vibration dampers. The engine itself is built in #Porsche Zuffenhausen too! The result is 640PS - up 90 from the Turbo, 850NM - up 80, and a blistering 0-60 of 3.3 seconds! The car also has a new titanium exhaust system - 18kg lighter and with a center silencer delete.
The suspension is where the real changes have come. The chassis is lowered 17mm VS the turbo, 7mm VS the GTS and lots has changed subsequently because of the drop. We have front dampers which are stiffer, rear damper mounts stiffer, auxiliary springs longer. We also have a wider front axle, wider front alloys, increased camber by 0.45 degrees and finally specially developed wider Pirelli P Zero Corsa track tyres for the #turboGT! All of this makes the Turbo GT 10% stiffer in normal mode, 15% in sportiest setting!
But has all of this done enough to award it the GT badge, or indeed be that much improved vs the amazing GTS? Today we explore:
- Porsche Cayenne Variants
- Nurburgring SUV Record
- Standard Chassis Options
- Suspension of Turbo GT
- Front axle changes by Weissach
- Turbo GT V8 upgrades
- Exterior design
- Interior review
- Turbo GT Titanium Exhaust sound

Looking for the perfect mid-level AMG daily car? Or a mid tier performance estate from the German brands? This new #MercedesAMG E53 in estate/ wagon /T Modell form might be the one for us all! This is an #AMG that has only gotten more emotional over time, whether that is from the new more aggressive design, vs the old lacklustre one, or the improved exhaust note. Something that just doesn’t happen much these days!
Of course the E53 returns with the same 3.0-litre 6-cylinder in-line engine with exhaust gas turbocharger and electric additionalcompressor, all based on a 48-volt on-board electrical system. Yawn. What that really equates to is a 456BHP combined output between the combustion engine and the hybrid element, and 770NM of torque! You’ll be pleased to know we tested the claimed 0-60 figure of 4.6 seconds, and found the car to be faster in reality. But the magic happens when this light hybrid package marries the AMG Performance Exhaust!
The E53 really shows how AMG are making the best performance wagons these days. With the E63S as the fastest on the Ring (no RS6 in sight), the E53 Estate enjoys a space with no rival from Audi or BMW, with the Audi S6 now a low powered diesel. The E53 in fact takes things further with a fully variable all wheel drive system able to send 100% power to the rear, drift mode available in Europe: something the RS6 can’t even do!
Topping off the package is the AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension with adaptive damping system, which makes the daily element quite pleasurable. The car I had also had self-driving driving assistance, which was amazing on a longer stint. MPG on the E53 was decent too, with a full tank delivering over 500 miles!
In Europe, you can get the AMG Dynamic Plus package, with Red callipers, Dynamica steering wheel, AMG Steering wheel buttons and that Race Mode with Drift mode. Sadly not yet available in the UK, though we will test it in the next video with the CLS 53.
So, will this hit all the notes an AMG daily needs to? Today we explore:
- 2021 AMG E53 wagon
- Engine and hybrid system - ISG
- AMG Performance 4MATIC+
- TCT Torque convertor gearbox
- AMG Ride control suspension
- AMG Dynamic Plus Package
- New exterior design
- Interior review

992 GT3 Touring PDK First Drive! TAKE MY MONEY!
A special surprise for us on day of Goodwood as we arrived at Porsche’s secret location outside of the FOS. After our last video of the GT3 on track, I simply couldn’t resist the opportunity to drive the new 992 Touring PDK on the road! And spoiler: it might be the greatest car I’ve ever driven.

So say hello to the 992 GT3 Touring, spec’d by head of GT product Andreas Preuninger himself, in a lovely dolomite silver. The touring’s first impression is even wider than the wing car, you notice the stance more!
Now incase you don’t know, the Touring is identical to the winged version on both a technical and performance basis. Like the GT3 the touring produces 503BHP, 470NM and a claimed 0-60 of 3.4 seconds. Crucially, it’s now available in both Manual and PDK!! As with the winged car, the car now features a double wishbone suspension that we will explore. And the touring still provides the same downforce as the winged car, again technically identical.
There are some cool unique bits to point out too. Gone is the black plastic front end often pointed out in the winged car, replaced with a fully painted one. This now sets the touring apart and I think makes the whole front flow better. Our car also has the optional touring pack darkened lights, window trim and exhaust, and carbon exhaust.
Insidelongside the steering wheel, our arm rests, door panels, centre lid are all in leather, and GT3 logos replaced with Porsche Crest. But you can also get coloured leather and two tone arrangements too! My favourite bit was the leather with dragon scale like embossing.
Could this be the greatest car I’ve ever driven? Today we explore:
⁃New GT3 Touring
⁃4.0 Engine
⁃992 GT3 touring design changes
⁃New GT3 Touring exterior options
⁃Double wishbone suspension vs Macpherson strut
⁃Aerodynamic changes
⁃Interior review

New Porsche 911 GT3 Manual + PDK - UK Cars First Drive!
📱 Wallpapers of the 992 GT3 by @shotbyjamieb - https://shotbyjamieb.com
🚨 Use code RBR50 for 50% off! 🚨
2021 Manual and PDK GT3 at Anglesey Track in Wales : words I never thought it’d utter! A huge honour to be part of a tiny group of UK car mags and journos to have the chance to drive the UK spec cars for the first time. All credit goes to you viewers of RBR, getting me to where I am today with the Channel!
Today I’ll take you on a deep dive of the GT3, exploring every part of the car thats changed from the previous gen, before exploring the two different specs of the Shark Blue Manual and White PDK that we have here today.
The new GT3 is an impressive thing. Despite a wider body, larger wheels and additional tech, the weight of the 992 GT3 is on a par with the last one: weighing just 1,418 kg with the manual transmission and 1,435 kg with the Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK).
The 992 in general must be thanked for this, being slightly bigger, always wider, stiffer aluminium based body, better tech, and to my eyes the best modern design we have had. Our last video on the base 911 car argued how it’s the gem of the lineup, and prior to that I reviewed my own Turbo S, a 650PS monster with more GT flavour than ever!
But unlike turbo, GT isn’t about power, it’s about pure driving pleasure. The horsepower is only 503, torque almost half the Turbo S at 470, and a 0-60 of 3.4 makes it seem slow. But this car has lapped the Nürburgring at 6.59… beating the last 3RS.
The engine is still natural, the brilliant 4.0 from the GT3 Cup car and last Speedster, it sounds incredible as you’ll see and is still available standard with the 6 speed manual, with auto blip function or the 7 speed PDK of old. Speaking of the PDK, it’s a lighter development unit vs previous car. And unlike the normal 992’s poxy blade gear changer that we complained about so much, this has the same lever as in the manual that can be changed sequentially, as Mr Andreas Preuninger said we don’t want to always be on the paddles!!
But a lot of the story is in the suspension changes: now double wishbones rather than MacPherson struts, taking its design from the 911 RSR Le Mans car. It brings advantages in camber stiffness, better tyre contact, steering and brake stability. The rear 5 arm axle also has additional ball joints for the lower wishbones. And now the driver car also adjust the camber and roll bar stiffness on both front and rear! Also from Porsche racing cars: The car’s springs are also aided by helper springs, which extend spring travel despite the springs being wound tight, and keeps wheel contact on exaggerated turns. And finally, we still have Rear wheel steering up to 2 degrees, but retuned because of the front changes.
Brakes are now larger at a diameter of 408 rather than 380, but weigh 17% less: CCBs weigh half as much. Plus lightweight glass in all the windows, lightweight rear seat cover, lightweight stainless steel sports exhaust system all result in a power-to-weight ratio of 2.8 kg/PS making it even more a race car!
Carbon: bonnet as well as the rear wing and spoiler while the roof is also available in CFRP on request.
Aero advancements are everywhere, from the new front, swan neck wing and the new functional rear diffuser: all inspired by the RSR and CUP cars. The new GT3 generates approximately 50 per cent more downforce overall than its predecessor, even just in its factory aerodynamic settings. In the performance position, downforce can increase by as much as 150 per cent at 200 km/h!

The Basic 911: The Jewel of Porsche’s Line up?
The 911 Carrera video is sponsored by NordVPN! Go tohttps://nordvpn.com/rbr or code “RBR” to get a 2-year plan plus 4 free months with a huge 73% discount!
One thing you’re never short of with 911, is variants. And in 992 we already have quite a few, with the Carrera S, 4S, Turbo, Turbo S, Cabriolet, Targa, Targa heritage… and now the new GT3… Well, you get the idea! And it’s a similar story in the configurator too: with sports Chrono, PASM, Rear Steer, ceramics and a whole host of options that you can’t do without or the car wouldn’t be good enough, right?
Enter the one that inevitably gets overlooked among these tempting choices, the base Carrera with low options. It’s the least powerful, interesting looking, it hurts our egos which make us want to jump to S at least… And on VS mode today it’s going up against a high specification Carrera 4S to show you the other end of the spectrum! So let the battle begin, to decide how good in reality is the entry level Carrera 911!
For some general 992 background, it was headed by former head of GT product Frank Walliser, it was the Same basic size as the 991, with a wider front track, staggered wheels for the first time, almost all of the body is aluminium, active aero on the front, the turbocharged flat-six engine has been reworked - position is the same, but it’s mounted further along the the middle of the car closer to the centre of gravity, while reducing vibrations, VTG mirrored turbochargers, there is a completely new 8-speed dual-clutch PDK!
I’ll also show you some of my favourite highlights like the flush door handles, the bonnet cuts from G model and 993, the light bar with the Porsche type inside it, and the secret 911 code on the rear grille!
Then when it comes to models, you’re inundated with options.
Carrera S gives us 444BHP, 530nm, and a 0-60 of 3.7 seconds. Get our 4S and that becomes 3.6 or faster.
Then you can have a cabriolet of either, same power but slightly slower. Same with the gorgeous Targa, best looking of the bunch perhaps. Can go totally wild with the Heritage edition!
Then the Turbo family. Standard turbo at 580PS, 2.7 seconds, Turbo S a maddening 650PS and 2.5 seconds. And finally, GT3. 510BHP, 4.0 natural engine, PDK or manual, no rear seats: and all the know how Weissach has!
With all that, it’s easy to forget our friend the Base Carrera: with only 380BHP.
So with a difference of 2k options vs 20k options, plus the power difference, how well with the basic 992 Carrera do?! Today we explore:
- Full 992 911 Line up, Carrera, C2S, C4S, Cabriolet, Targa, Turbos, and New GT3 /Touring
- The 992 platform
- Engine and gearbox
- 991 Easter eggs and technology
- Base Carrera VS S and 4S
- Low spec vs High spec 911

Welcome back to RBR guys and to a first look at the facelift #MercedesAMG GT Four Door, oddly starting with the #AMGGT 53 on this occasion. There are some really nice little visual updates to the #AMG GT 4 door that I’m keen to point out, alongside changes to ride comfort, a wider range of equipment and a customised edition for even more individuality: It’s this GT 53 Special edition that we’re focusing on today.
I’m going to run through the exterior, technical changes and new options, then we’ll head to Germany where Tobi will show you the interior changes, and I’ve even got a very special guest from AMG who you might recognise: Felix from the famous “Inside AMG” episodes on AMG’s YouTube channel! And then finally I’ll run through what I think the V8 versions will bring to the table!
So this is a super weird move by AMG. The car we have here is the GT53, so the 450BHP inline 6 with hybrid assistance, but the face you see here actually belongs to the V8. The look of the standard 53 hasn’t changed in the facelift, it’s the same as it was before but the V8 has changed it’s look. The special edition here features a “V8 styling pack”, so they’ve actually shown you the update to the V8 version with this.
The GT53 4matic+ is still an inline 6 with 435BHP, paired to an electric compressor that sits between the engine and gearbox, giving 22BHP more and 250NM on top of the 520 from the combustion engine. Giving you a 0-60 of 4.5, with a fully variable AWD system allowing all the power to go rearwards. Same is true of the GT43 4matic+, which is down on power at 367BHP but with the same hybrid and AWD system. And finally the GT43 RWD version, same power but all to the rear.
Technical changes on this car are limited to suspension: AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension is the usual multi-chamber air suspension system: but this is now upgraded with 2 new pressure limiting valves, that change the rebound and compression independently in milliseconds. The result as always, better comfort and higher levels of dynamism at the other end.
The facelift has some nice design features other than the front end, like the awesome new wheels at 21 inch with significant aero design but done tastefully. Some SLS Final Edition vibes here. Another set of new wheels also available in this design, and you can actually ask for red callipers on the 53 cars now too. 3 new paint shades join the palette too, like Spectral blue which I’ll show you.
The Special Edition, has this new colour of Rubellite red, really reminiscent of the GT 4 door concept I think. Loads of chrome used much like a Maybach, and awesome how the side sills match the colour in this edition. The pipes on this car are the biggest you get on a 53, and they also have the AMG lettering you won’t find elsewhere.
Let’s take a deep dive and explore:

Respray & Retrim?! Recreating The Infamous C63 AMG Black Series!!
AMG SOLARBEAM YELLOW #C63 BLACK SERIES! Yes I have to scream it, it’s been a dream ever since I saw Clarkson and the Stig tearing the press car up on Top Gear.
Sadly, #MercedesAMG never offered the paint, callipers or interior trim to their customers! Instead giving limited options outside, red callipers only, and an interior shared NOT with the C63… but with the C180 AMG line! Major fail by #AMG…
For some it’s okay, but for me as Mr AMG, I can’t stand for it! So I returned once again to Fastlane Paint and Body, the official Bodyshop for Mercedes Benz World and many other dealers to do PTS, i.e. paint to sample on the car. We you saw me do on my A45, you can do this for any car and it’s completely peelable paint incase you want to revert!
We’re going to remove the vinyl at fastlane and show you the full Solar beam yellow peelable PTS process, but that’s not all!
I also bought a spare interior, and created a whole new interior design, and went to B Trim interiors in the UK to make a custom but “factory finish” and Daimler material interior for the Black. We use nappa leather, Dinamica by mico, yellow stitch and office AMG seat badges. It’s inspired by the latest AMGs, the new GT Black Series and the original press car, and it’s going to blow you away!! And finally, as a cherry on top, a Carbon wheel again copying the OEM look of the latest wheels, as found in the GT63S.
Loads to show you today, I even get up to some re-trimming myself!! And the final result will leave your knees weak, as it did mine!

The Ultimate Performance #supercar shooting brake is here!! Killer of super cars, the #Porsche #Taycan returns as an off road wagon monster. It comes now standard with thw two-tier Performance Battery Plus used in the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo, with
396 cells. It gives the Turbo S the same 761BHP on over-boost, and 635BHP in normal circumstances.
Though the cross differs in ride heights - three-chamber air suspension provides a wide range of heights and we will show you how it works. This turbo also has Rear axle steering up to 2.8 degrees!
Driving mode Gravel is unique to the Cross - it differs power delivery, with precise torque control for optimised traction, and influences (PSM) (PTV Plus) & (PTM) to suit uneven surfaces.
Space inside is much improved in terms of Headroom, Luggage Space, and generally the attention to detail is very high.
But how does it fare vs the normal Taycan, particularly in terms of the performance that made that so amazing? Today we explore:
- Taycan Cross Turismo Turbo S
- Performance Battery Plus standard
- Permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, or PSM
- 600-amp pulse inverter and 2 speed gearbox
- Technical Changes Cross Turismo Vs Taycan
- Suspension ride heights
- Gravel mode
- Internal head room and space
- Boot space
- Spec options
- Design vs sedan Taycan

A big welcome to VW to the channel for the first time! You know I’m always a happy boy when a new manufacturer appears on the channel! And this one has some interesting history… even linked to Nazi Germany!
The Golf R is the benchmark for many in the hot hatch division as a bang for buck car, it’s so popular in the UK that the MK7 is one of the most stolen cars on the road!
This new one is gunning for its rivals even in the hatch class above, with 316BHP and 420NM now from the EA888, though a slightly slower 0-60 of 4.7… is it really? Wait and see. ;)
DSG is still here which is great, and bigger brakes than the old car BUT the big change is a newly developed four-wheel drive system with selective wheel torque control on the rear axle, called 4MOTION with R-Performance Torque Vectoring.
Translated: this is able to send 100% power to the outside wheel, and thus… drift mode in Golf R. You’ve heard this before from the A45s and the Focus. This should help neutralise understeer and promote a RWD feeling. VS the normal 8, it’s 20mm lower, and uses a more rigid and lighter aluminium front subframe. Theres also a vehicle dynamics manager, that optimises handling by nannying the electronic functions like that XDS, or DCC.
The R is only available in 5 doors and automatic now, Performance Pack Available with 19 inch rims seen here, a big wing too, and two extra driving modes of Special and Drift, that i’ll discuss in the video. £700 will get you adaptive suspension, and £3000 for an akrapovic exhaust system, are better spent than the perf pack in my opinion.
But today we will also explore the Origins of VW. Volks, or Peoples, was a word used often for state funded product in Nazi Germany. Hitler wanted an affordable car priced the same as a typical motor cycle for the Germany and thus unsurprisingly the Volkswagen or peoples car, name was given.
The actual concept of the first VW however came from the mind of someone we’ve had on the channel previously to do with car history: the first Ferdinand Porsche. And while he designed it, and Nazi’s originally planned it, the TRUE origin and credit for the current existence of VW must go to British Major Ivan Hirst. Watch the video to learn more! :)
After this I’ll dive into every generation of the Golf and what they brought to the table to create the “golf class”, all the way from MK1 to present day!
And then driving the new R, a car that’s supposedly slower than the Mark 7… but is it? Today we explore:
- Origins and History of VW
- Hitler, Ferdinand Porsche and Major Ivan Hurst
- Car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro
- MK1 and GTi
- MK2 Golf
- MK3 Golf
- MK4 Golf and R32
- MK5 Golf and R32

2021 Bentley GT Speed! 0-60 in WHAT?! Fastest Continental Ever!
0-60 in WHAT?! Behold the Speed. Simple naming conventions for derivatives, sometimes work the best, as this is #Bentley’s most dynamic and fast road car in their 101 year history!
As the car is not yet homologated for UK roads, bizarrely we are testing the car on track on the full Silverstone GP circuit.
The Speed was originally introduced with the first generation Continental GT Speed in 2007 – inspired by the Continental R models of the 1920s. It chopped weight off the standard car and added more power, to the tune of 35kg and 42bhp along with another 100nm of torque. This set the trend for further iterations of the Speed to come.
Gen two saw 616bhp and 800nm from its 6.0-litre W12, or 626 in the facelift. It had a lower ride height with an uprated chassis and suspension package, and hit a mad too speed of 206mph!!
But Gen 3 is where the big changes have happened under the skin, thanks to the new Platform underpinning the Conti, partly developed by Bentley this time. The standard car itself, quicker than any Speed before it!
This new Speed has Electronic All-Wheel Steering up to 4.1 degrees, and the front steering also adjusted to match this. This will help with low speed sharp turns and stability at high speeds.
There same rear package houses the Electronic rear diff or ELSD. With this we get more grip in Comfort and Bentley modes, and better turn in and straight line grip in sport.
Making Sport mode different had been a key goal: so the Active All-Wheel drive, the traction control and torque distribution has been recalibrated to give a character shift.
And finally an optional newly-engineered Carbon Ceramic brake system, 440mm 10 piston front 4 piston rear, they give a 33kg weight saving.
Overall, we have Performance of 650BHP, 900nm, and a claimed 3.5secs (spoiler, it’s faster). And a crazy top speed of 208MPH!
The design changes both inside and out are harder to find, in typical Speed fashion, but I will go through it all anyway. The question today is, how much can we gauge about Bentley’s most potent #Continental GT #Supercar, at a strange place for a Grand Tourer. Today we explore:
- History of the Continental GT Speed
- 2008 Continental Speed
- 2013 Continental Speed
- 2021 Continental Speed
- Exterior design
- Standard GT vs Speed
- Mechanical Changes
- Rear wheel steering
- E LSD “E Diff”

New E63S VS Old E63S : Can the Real AMG Hammer please stand up?!
RBR VS Mode Episodes are coming at you with a vengeance!! After the awesome Taycan 4S vs RWD episode, it’s time to do a proper petrolhead hero car battle : #AMG E63S vs E63S. Old vs New! Loud vs Subdued. Analog vs Digital!
Not a huge amount has changed technically speaking as far as performance goes on the E63S. It maintains the brutal 4.0 V8 bi turbo, and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G. And of course the famed AMG 4matic+ 100% variable all wheel drive system with drift mode. Both E 63 S produce 612 BHP, 850NM and 0-60 in 3.4 - but we test both to be way quicker, so stick around for the launch controls!
Minor differences: the interior gets a new where and the awesome MBUX, and the facelift gets AMG dynamics, which influences the ESP system based on your requirements or driver skill. And the main bit is adjustments to the AMG ride control suspension, which has been modified to be more comfortable. Oh, and the exhaust is now muted due to EU regs since then.
That means, for the AMG Addict, the prefacelift E63S is basically the same car, just louder, less interior tech and arguably a more aggressive design!!
So if you were in the market for the Ultimate E63, or you’re confused between both: this is the video for you!
Today we explore.
- New W213 #MercedesAMG E63S Facelift
- 2017 Pre facelift W213 Original E63S 4matic Plus
- Technical change differences between old and new #E63
- Exterior design comparison
- New front end vs Old
- Rear design comparison
- 2017 Old E63S interior vs New Facelift E63S interior
- New E63S OPF Exhaust sound and AMG emotion start
- Old E63S Exhaust sound and revs
- Old E63S Launch control
- New E63S Launch control
- New E63 vs Old E63 Full driving review of both

911 Targa Heritage: Pure Porsche Car Porn! Full Review
Limited Edition Heritage 911, and the first of 4 new heritage models!! Welcome back to RBR guys, now I had no intention of making a video on this, but after I saw it at #Porsche’s press department I simply couldn’t deprive you of it!
Only 992 examples will be built, matching the internal model series code, and this Heritage edition will be the first of 4 specifically for the new #911. Later in the review, I’ll take a guess as to a few more that might come!
As you saw in our first review (link below) the first Targa came in 1967, and after a few design misfires, the modern one returned in 991 with the original design, and a hugely complex two piece folding system - It consists of two parts, front soft top and rear glass. And it takes only 19 seconds to open and close, and must be done at standstill!
Full 992 Targa 4S review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE8TZQjxhnk
One of the main features is theLuggage compartment grille, which is reminiscent of the one that was awarded back in the day when a Porsche 356 reached the 100,000 kilometres mark, a seal of quality from the past; you’ll see a lot link to the 356 in this video.
The 1963 Porsche Crest features on the bonnet, steering wheel, wheel centres and vehicle key: again from 356. The spear livery was also seen on 356’s in the past, and you can choose a start number of your choice. Unique Alloy wheels in Carrera Exclusive Design and classic-look brake callipers finished in Black finish the exterior off, and the heritage is available in Cherry Metallic, GT Silver, Crayon, Black, Guards red or PTS paint to sample.
Inside, it has Bordeaux Red or Black leather with OLEA club leather in Atacama Beige. That 1963 Porsche Crest on the bonnet features also on steering wheel, vehicle key, and also embossed on the head restraints and key pouch. Coolest touch is the corduroy on seats and door trims - again a material used in the Porsche 356, rare in these times. And finally, Green Dials for the driver zone and sports Chrono watch throwback to 356 speedometer.
Porsche will also offer customers with aMatching Porsche Design Chronograph, with the leather colour, green dial and even alloy design on the rear, all in limited numbers - limited to 992 units!
As for performance, the heritage has the same 450BHP, 530NM and 0-60 as the normal 4S: but we test the launch control to be much faster! So today we explore:
- New Heritage 911 Series
- Targa Roof operation

Many generations of dominance the 2 door M car has had, and though it had some minor bumps along the way, BMW M have shown a consistent approach to the formula that makes the M3 and M4, particularly the 2 door: bringing their best motorsport learning and shoehorning it into their best road car. Despite the inconsistency of the design of our new car, the approach under the skin is still the same. But it comes in a generation where engine emotion is neutered by emission laws, M Lites like the M440i have almost 400 BHP, gorgeous things like the M8 exists, and the M2 rules supreme as the true successor to the M3 of old.
So where does that leave our new M4? Today we’ll recap some of the lead up to this car, see what makes it unique under the skin VS the M440i, then do a full drive review of the new BMW M4!
It’s a bit confusing talking about the history of the M4, is it’s only been called that for 1 generation. Truth is, the start of this car was 35 years ago with the BMW 3.0 CSL. The batmobile as it was known was an extremely successful race car that put BMW’s Motorsport division on the map, even with the origin of the famous three colour livery. It began the M story - a lighter, more driver focused, stripped out car. The clear predecessor to our new M4 today. Even with the grille.
But we aren’t focusing on the Grille history, more the general aggression of the two door M car, from E30 to now!
We will also take a look at everything under the skin, like the 3-litre straight-six - S58 engine. The twin turbo part 3d printed engine revs higher to 7250 RPM and produces 510 BHP, 650 NM, and 0 to 60 of 3.9 seconds.
ZF 8 speed Gearbox replaces the dual clutch, but the software is from scratch Vs M5/M8. Now shifts in 150ms vs those.
M Xdrive with 3 traction modes including RWD only, announced for summer 2021. This will of course have different performance figures and capability!
But competition within BMW is tough, with the brilliant M2 competition, M8 series and the M440i M lite: does this car do enough? Today we explore:
- History of the M3 and M4
- A different M4 grille
- Different M4 render
- Exterior design
- M4 Engine S58
- New M compound brakes & Carbon ceramics
- M perf exhaust lighter at 5kg
- Wheel options, all forged: 825M, 826M cross spoke M perf: 963M
- “Integrated brake system” IB
- Adaptive Msuspension
- Stiffening and struts
- M4 with M Performance exhaust and parts
- M4 Vs M440i
- Full driving review
- Daily living
- Conclusion
