Chopin, Bach and Tchaikovsky compositions have a calming effect which aids in releasing dopamine. Dopamine prevents the release of stress hormones, and spikes feelings of pleasure and focus. From here, mood is improved - clarifying thinking, increasing the ability to absorb information, and see things from other perspectives. A range of studies have been released showing that students that listened to classical music while studying performed better in exams. Additionally, classical music can improve productivity and creativity in the work place, and for work projects. Did You Know..? Bach was a composer of the Baroque era, and he was one of the most celebrated members of a large family of north German musicians. Although he was admired by his contemporaries as an outstanding harpsichordist, organist, and expert on organ building, Bach is now looked upon as one of the greatest composers of all time. He is celebrated as the creator of the Brandenburg Concertos, The Well-Tempered Clavier, the Mass in B Minor, and numerous other masterpieces of church and instrumental music. Similar to Haydn, Bach’s talents came at a pivotal point in musical history.
