Classical Masterpieces by Schubert, Chopin and Tchaikovsky!

Austrian composer Franz Schubert, Polish composer Frédéric Chopin and Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky define the Romantic era of ‘classical’ music. Franz Schubert was one of the last official classical composers, with many of his works entering into the Romantic era – paving the way for the later composers.
Schubert, Chopin and Tchaikovsky composed some of the most renowned and well-known musical pieces featuring in symphonies, ballets and operas.

10 Beethoven Songs You Have Heard but Don't Know the Name.
Did You Know..?
Somewhere, at some point, you have probably heard at least one of these songs, if not quite a few. I remember watching a tv show called ‘Christie’, and in one of the episodes there was this most beautiful song being played on the piano. It was haunting… and that tune stayed with me for years.
And then I stumbled across classical music as a bit of a hobby (little did I know I would utilize this hobby for Youtube!) Once again, I heard that tune… That tune that has appeared in quite a few popular movies, and even some controversial ones.
So, sit back and enjoy 10 Beethoven Songs You Have Heard but Don’t Know the Name…
Up first is this tune that sticks in my head…
00:00 ‘Moonlight’ Sonata
05:22 Piano Sonata no. 8 in C minor 'Pathetique', Op. 13 - I. Grave - Allegro di molto e con brio

The BEST of Classical Music: Vivaldi, Verdi, Scarlatti, Rossini and Clementi
Did You Know..?
Italian Classical Romantic music brought to the world some passionate and memorable operas.
Antonio Vivaldi, an Italian Baroque composer, virtuoso violinist, teacher and cleric. He is recognized as one of the greatest Baroque composers, and his influence during his lifetime was widespread across Europe.
Giuseppe Verdi was best known for his emotional operas keeping the audience engaged throughout. Influenced by Gioachino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, and Vincenzo Bellini, he dominated the Italian opera scene.
Domenico Scarlatti is well-known for his operas, oratorios, and sacred music. However, his 555 short sonatas for harpsichord is what he is most remembered for.
Gioachino Rossini considered a traditionalist in Classical music, writing a variety of operas, and although still very popular at the time, he stopped writing operas as the new era of music took centre-stage.
Muzio Clementi's long series of piano sonatas was his claim to fame, and his celebrated studies for piano are still what most remember him for.
I hope you enjoy my pick of The Best of Classical Music - Vivaldi, Verdi, Scarlatti, Rossini and Clementi.

Did You Know..?
You have probably heard more Brahms in day-to-day life than you realise….
The German composer – Johannes Brahms was one of the ‘Three Bs’, alongside traditionally Baroque Bach, and classical/romanticism Beethoven. Brahms falls squarely in the Romantic period of classical music, defining this era with his more conservative approach to ‘absolute music’.
I hope you enjoy 5 Brahms Songs You’ve Heard but Don’t Know the Name, or maybe you do… Let me know in the comments!
00:00 Concerto in Re Marriore Op.77 - III. Allegro giocoso
08:14 Symphony No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 68 - I. Un poco sostenuto – Allegro
23:25 Hungarian Dance no. 5 - Allegro in F sharp minor
28:10 Academic Festival Overture, Op. 80
38:30 Symphony No. 4 in E Minor, Op. 98 - IV. Allegro Energico e Passionato
