The Best of BACH of Bach Concertos!
Did You Know..?
Bach was a composer of the Baroque era, and he was one of the most celebrated members of a large family of north German musicians. Although he was admired by his contemporaries as an outstanding harpsichordist, organist, and expert on organ building, Bach is now looked upon as one of the greatest composers of all time. He is celebrated as the creator of the Brandenburg Concertos, The Well-Tempered Clavier, the Mass in B Minor, and numerous other masterpieces of church and instrumental music.
Similar to Haydn, Bach’s talents came at a pivotal point in musical history. And combining the genres and styles of previous composers, he bought about a whole other set of standards, and enriched the pre-existing ones.
I hope you enjoy my pick of some of The Best of Bach!

Classical Music by Mozart, Strauss, Schubert, Schmidt and Hummel.
Did You Know...?
One could claim that some of the best Classical and Romantic Composers have originated from Austria, in particular Vienna. With some either calling Vienna their home, or whether they were born there. The infamous Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composing over 600 works in a range of symphonic, chamber, operatic, and choral pieces.
The entire Strauss family all have musical talents of their own; however, Johann I (Senior) and Johann II (Junior) perhaps stand out for their wonderful waltz’s, in particular Johann II stamped his claim to fame with ‘The Blue Danube’, among many other memorable waltz’s.
Franz Schubert is best remembered for his chamber music and the masterful composition of the poem – Ave Maria! Even Beethoven called Schubert “Truly, the spark of divine genius resides in this Schubert!"
Johann Nepomuk Hummel is most noted for his numerous piano works, many sacred works, and short theatrical pieces, minuets and dances for orchestras.
Franz Schmidt was born in Slovakia, but is most known for his residence in Austria. He had great influence throughout Europe, right up to his death in 1939. However, due to those that listened to his music at the time, he was lumped into history’s books as a composer that should be forgotten. His talents perhaps shone the most in his orchestra pieces, and in particular the romantic opera ‘Notre Dame’ – loosely based on the novel ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’.
I hope you enjoy my pick of The Best of Austrian Composers - Mozart, Strauss, Schubert, Hummel, and Schmidt.

The Best of Beethoven Sonatas!
Did you Know..?
Beethoven’s life and music career would take a different turn when he started developing a major disability that could severely impact upon his performances – he was gradually going deaf.
Some debate whether this was actually the case, or whether like many of his contemporaries his ill-health made it appear that his hearing wasn’t what it used to be. Regardless, Beethoven is still one of the most influential and popular classical composers which music even features in modern-day movies.
From the ‘King’s Speech, to action thriller ‘Die Hard’, coming-of-age “The Breakfast Club’, and even ‘Along Came Polly’ are just some of the few movies that Beethoven’s music pops up in. However, perhaps one of his most notable pieces for me, and possibly for others ‘Moonlight Sonata’ featured in ‘Interview with the Vampire’, and ‘The Pianist’. And the new ‘superhero’ movie ‘Morbius’ brings in the infamous ‘Fur Elise’…
I hope you enjoy my pick of some of The Best of Beethoven

The Best of Chopin with Relaxing Water Scenes.
Did You Know..?
Chopin lived such a short life, dying at the age of 39 from ‘causes unknown’. However, his life was plagued by ill-health like many of his counterparts. If he was a composer today, you might have seen his sordid love life in the tabloids – his personal life almost commanded more attention than his amazing talents as a composer and teacher.
His main focus was composing for the piano. In fact, some may say this instrument was an extension of himself, of his musical soul being poured out on to the keys…
I hope you enjoy my pick of some of The Best of Chopin with Relaxing Water Scenes.

Classical Music by Chopin.
Songs:
00:00 Etude Op. 10, no. 5 in G flat major 'Black Keys'
01:37 Etude Op. 25 no. 4 in A minor - 'Paganini'

04:19 Preludes, Op. 28 - Nos. 4 ,5, 6
08:48 Preludes, Op. 28 - Nos. 20, 21
12:37 Piano Concerto no. 2 in F minor, Op. 21 - I. Maestoso
26:06 Piano Concerto no. 2 in F minor, Op. 21 - II. Larghetto
35:15 Piano Concerto no. 2 in F minor, Op. 21 - III. Allegro vivace
43:28 Trois Nouvelles Etudes Étude No. 2 in A-Flat
46:07 Scherzo no. 3 in C sharp minor, Op. 39
53:55 Polonaise in A major 'Military', Op. 40 no. 1

Classical Music by Mozart, Strauss, Schubert, Hummel, and Schmidt
Did you know..?
One could say that the best of the best composers came from Vienna, or spent much of their time there (including Beethoven). It seems the country influenced beautiful artistic talents that the world has never seen again. Ranging from Classical to Romantic composers, each of these composers broached the boundaries of their genre, to redefine what music really is.
All songs are hand-picked by me from https://musopen.org/music/ , and composed in the order they are in to flow together, while providing contrast between the different composers.
I hope you find this video not only relaxing to listen too, but gain a bit of information that perhaps you didn’t know before about these famous composers…
