Unlock and unleash the power of the Xbox 360's original Xbox emulator like never before, thanks to Mathieulh's effort of revisiting this in 2019! This is for hardmodded JTAG and/or RGH Xbox 360 consoles and enables the backwards compatibility of the original Xbox emulator while introducing several additional features. A primary feature being this modified emulator allows you to boot up ANY original Xbox game on the Xbox 360! For anyone using a JTAG or RGH console with an already unlocked Xbox emulator, it might be worth revisiting for some additional new features Mathieulh added in. These feature the standard fully unlocked "Regular" files, but also include "HUD" and "HUD_Plugins" versions as well, with additional files featuring experiement 128 MB RAM support as opposed to the standard 64 MB of RAM! The PSP's built-in emulator for original PlayStation games is without a doubt one of my favorite features the system has to offer. With a modified PSP, a few of your favorite PS1 games, and PSX2PSP you can easily convert your PS1 games to have them on the go! This process requires you to make a backup of your original game disc and convert it to aa EBOOT file for use with the PSP. Even better is the ability to save on storage space, since PSX2PSP features a really nice compression option. This video assumes you already have a PSP with CFW installed and a basic understanding of how to navigate it. PS2-FPKG is a tool for which allows jailbroken PS4 users to easily build their own PS2 packed PKG files to install. All that's needed is a PS2 game in ISO or BIN format, a few photos of your choice, and a few minutes of your time to get the game packaged up into a PKG file. This follow-up PS2-FPKG video is specifically for building multi-disc PS2 package files, allowing you to play games with multiple discs or just build a small collection of your preferred games within a single package! This is required if you intended to share memory cards between certain games, as every PS2 package file contains separate virtual memory cards. Auto HEN Installer is an alternative method of installing PS3HEN which might be more successful for anyone having trouble with the standard PS3HEN installers. Several users have not had success using the standard PS3HEN installer on PS3Xploit's site, others have run into issues with the alternative PS3HEN installer. One notable issue the alternative PS3HEN installer could present is wiping out all of the options within the Network column of the XMB! For anyone running into issues like this, Auto HEN Installer provides an alternative method of installation all over your local area network. Keep in mind that while this is technically an offline installer, meaning your PS3 will not need full internet access, your PS3 still needs local network access to whichever device you host Auto HEN Installer on! This method is also a bit more complex than using the installers available on PS3Xploit's site due to setting up a local server to host a few files, so I would only recommend using Auto HEN Installer if you have exhausted your options with PS3Xploit's installers. Keep in mind this is not the equivalent of a full custom firmware (CFW) or Jailbreak! PS3HEN does not have the full access CFW contains, but much of the functionality people are looking for is readily available in PS3HEN. Not all homebrew will work on PS3HEN, some of it will require either resigning to 3.55 or will need an update from the author. FunTuna is a variant of Project Fortuna, a known FreeMCBoot alternative designed to work on all Slim models, including the later SCPH-90000 series systems! FunTuna makes use of Fortuna to work on every PS2 Slim while also bringing the much loved FreeMCBoot frontend to all PS2 Slim owners. If you don't have an existing entrypoint then installing FunTuna on a memory card has been made infinitely easier thanks to FreeDVDBoot! This doesn't require you to find a pre-loaded memory card, perform a swap trick, or have a modchip. This method is without a doubt the easiest method of installing FunTuna on a completely unmodified PS2! As long as you have a USB drive on hand and the ability to burn a DVD, you're all set assuming you have a compatible console. Keep in mind that FreeDVDBoot is completely reliant on the specific DVD Player version your PlayStation 2 has. With time FreeDVDBoot will be ported to work on more consoles, but for the time being you need to make sure your console is on a specific version. This step-by-step guide will show you how to easily jailbreak a PlayStation 4 running firmware 6.72! This tutorial works for the original PS4, PS4 Slim, and PS4 Pro as long as the firmware 6.72 is installed on the system. Dual-Boot firmware for PS3 has been around for several years, however this isn't a dual-booting solution in the traditional sense many people would think of. When considering dual-booting a console, typically this means the console would have access to boot into two different firmwares to accomplish different things. Usage of this as an example could be a dual-NAND setup for the Xbox 360, with one side to allow for clean online access and the other side having a modified NAND for unsigned code. This is not what dual-boot firmware on PS3 is, and that's what this video has been made to clarify. Installing dual-boot firmware requires a jailbroken console with CFW already installed, however dual-boot firmware is not a traditional custom firmware. Dual-boot firmware looks and acts exactly like a stock official firmware, with the only difference being it has been pre-patched to allow for a full CFW installation when needed, so you don't have to go through the entire jailbreaking process from start to finish. Dual-boot firmware does not allow for ANY homebrew or modifications to be run, so what's the point of it? The point here being this would allow jailbroken PS3 owners to occasionally get back online, in the safest state possible, without fully reverting the console back to a stock official firmware. FreeDVDBoot is the latest breakthrough for the PlayStation 2 modding scene, allowing anyone with a compatible and unmodified PS2 to boot unsigned code with nothing but a blank DVD on hand. Although many people are using this as an entrypoint to install FreeMCBoot or Fortuna to a memory card, it was also demonstrated that you could patch full retail game backups to launch by combining the FreeDVDBoot payload with an ESR patched disc! In short, as of 2020, we can now easily create our own self-booting backup games to run on a completely unmodified PS2, just like we've seen on the Dreamcast. This tutorial will go through the process of checking your PS2's DVD Player version to verify it's compatible with the FreeDVDBoot ESR Patcher GUI application. From there, you'll be able to backup your CD and DVD based PS2 games, patch them, and of course play them with ease. Keep in mind that FreeDVDBoot is completely reliant on the specific DVD Player version your PlayStation 2 has. With time FreeDVDBoot will be ported to work on more consoles, but for the time being you need to make sure your console is on a specific version.
