Psalm 46:10 | Faith and Fitness

Reading about Psalm 46:10 on BibleHub and saw that Isaiah 2:17 was listed as a cross reference. The two together might explain the humility many feel about their self-care through exercise and food. Striving to thrive through grace and honoring the miracle of this life.
No - not always motivated.
No - it's not easy.
But there is something powering our efforts that comes from above and it is so much bigger than us.

Faith & Fitness - 1 Corinthians 10:13
"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure." - 1 Corinthians 10:13
Strength to endure...we need that many times. Life includes some big, overwhelming events. But it also includes small things each day that distract and tempt us to procrastinate, postpone, or give up.
Some people equate "discipline" with "deprivation". I don't believe that's a practical approach. "Discipline" is having the ability to decide to have a treat, but not the entire box. Discipline means a unexpected interruption in routine that cancels today's workout doesn't become a week or a month away from exercise.
Each of us has to navigate things as we see fit. I share this scripture to remind you that God provides strength so you can trust yourself because you trust in Him. ❤️

What's the 80/20 rule? To eat for health, choose mostly whole foods that are minimally processed. But for sustainability, choose foods you enjoy. Being highly restrictive almost always backfires.

Faith & Fitness - 1 Corinthians 13:7
"bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." ~ 1 Corinthians 13:7
It feels good to be motivated.
But if we only work when we feel motivated to work, we won't accomplish much.
That's why we need to GRIND some days.
That's when we need to have believe it will work.
That's when we may despair and doubt.
And that's when your faith in God, that habit to believe in something you know is true in your gut when your eyes can't see it - that's when you GRIND.
Motivation will come back, but if you don't have it today, it doesn't matter. Do the work.
Be on your grind and stay tough my friend!
