African-Americans in cities throughout the United States are being asked to stand aside while the officials they elected to protect their interest ignore them and bring large numbers of illegal migrants into their communities, and then provide these foreign nationals with free food, housing, education, healthcare, phones, and, sometimes, pre-paid debit cards. These elected officials in some cases are taking crucial resources from these underserved communities and using them to support the migrants. Why are so many billions of dollars suddenly available to supply basic necessities for non-citizens, but not for Americans? Who is making the decisions that are allowing this outrage to continue? And what can be done to address the problem? We begin by learning firsthand from black residents in Chicago and New York City how this crisis is impacting them, and how they feel about it. The guests in this first segment are Adrian Wright and David Barnes from Chicago, and Au'Starr from New York City. We then hear from community leaders on how they view this crisis from a political perspective. This segment includes Pastor David L. Lowery, Jr., in Chicago, and Conservative Party candidate and BLEXIT leader Dion Powell in the Bronx. We’ll close the episode with former immigration judge Matt O’Brien — currently at the Immigration Reform Law Institute — who will explain immigration law, the asylum process, and which aspects of this migrant crisis are in compliance, or in violation, of the law.

Ladies Living History Society is a group of women dedicated to authentically presenting the history of women through living history portrayals. Known for his matter of fact and honest approach, Chief Clem has been on the frontline in the border crisis in both El Paso, Texas and most recently Yuma, Arizona. Chief Clem has been a member of the Senior Executive Service since 2018 until his retirement. Kathe Mueller Slonim was 11-years-old when her father Adolf was sent to the Dachau concentration camp. When Adolf’s cousin, Max, learned of Adolf’s internment, he set out to rescue him. A former German government official, Max’s risky plan was to use his expired Third Reich papers to get through checkpoints he encountered en route to Dachau. However, Max’s mission was doubly dangerous — he had previously changed his name and religion to hide his Jewish identity, and if this were discovered the consequences would be grave. Later in life, Kathe recounted this remarkable story in her memoir, Escape from Dachau. We’ll discuss Kathe’s memoir with her daughter, Susan Servais. He will talk about the intriguing worlds of model trains, backyard trains (mini railroads), and even the Cincinnati Dinner Train. Mark built his first model train layout at 12. By 25 he had his own apartment, which included a layout in the living room. By 35 he had a layout in the basement of the home where he and his wife raised 5 boys. Over the next two decades he started selling model train sets online and joined three different model train clubs. He has been working part-time for the Cincinnati Dinner Train as a conductor, which he will also describe. And this passion all began for him as a 4-year-old watching trains operate at a small railyard at Glenway and Boudinot on the west side.

Ohio Election Integrity Network “OEIN” is a collaborative team of Election Integrity “EI” groups and volunteers throughout the State of Ohio. The mission of “OEIN” is to establish a trusted statewide infrastructure, comprising of a network of Ohio “EI” groups and County “EI” task forces, to ensure secure and legitimate election processes. “OEIN” is currently working with over 30 Ohio counties, while constantly establishing new “EI” groups in counties throughout the state. In building statewide working groups and task forces, their goal is to improve the election process in the following areas. * Legislation – Working closely with Ohio Legislators on Election Bills such as, HB458 passed in December 2022, plus current proposed legislation SB51 and SB71. “OEIN” is affiliated with the national Election Integrity Network “EIN’ which includes a 20 state coalition. Sandie Zimmerman and Eileen Watts will discuss the successful establishment of the Ohio Election Integrity Network and the progress that has been made building statewide working groups to make improvements to Ohio’s election integrity. __________ Jeff McIntire will be portraying the 79th Ohio Volunteer Infantry which was raised in Warren, Clinton, Clemont, and Hamilton counties. Focus will be on the Battle of Bentonville, the largest Civil War battle fought in North Carolina, March 19–21, 1865. The Confederate defeat marked a serious weakening of one of its last surviving major armies but was a significant enough engagement that it convinced Union General Ulysses S. Grant to leave General William T. Sherman in North Carolina. Jeff will touch base on the rest of the war concentrating on the details of clothing, equipment, arms, and personal effects of the Ohio soldier in the American Civil War. Jeff’s impersonations cover all sides of a controversy (white settlers vs. indigenous people, Union vs. Confederate soldiers), giving the common person’s perspective and way of life. He incorporates either authentic or reproduced artifacts into his talks. While giving an impersonation, he finds it best to speak from a third person viewpoint. He finds that in this way, he can convey more information as he isn’t constrained as to what he can or can’t say and has found it makes for a better conversation.

On April 14, 2023, Dean Charles Rose of Ohio Northern University sent campus security officers and armed town police to a classroom in which tenured law professor Scott Douglas Gerber was teaching to escort him to the dean’s office, where Gerber was told he had to resign or be fired. The only reason provided for this action, despite multiple requests for specifics from Dr. Gerber, was Dr. Gerber’s alleged insufficient “collegiality,” which isn’t even listed in the ONU Faculty Handbook as adequate cause for terminating a tenured professor. Image result for whistle Dr. Gerber suspects the real reason is illegal retaliation for his whistleblowing about how Ohio Northern University’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives have led to illegal hiring and admissions practices. Dr. Gerber’s story has received national attention and is ongoing. Dr. Gerber also will talk about his new book to be released this fall by Cambridge University Press, ‘Law and Religion in Colonial America: The Dissenting Colonies’. In the book, Dr. Gerber argues that law – charters, statutes, judicial decisions, and traditions – mattered in colonial America, and laws about religion mattered a lot. The legal history of colonial America reveals that America has been devoted to the free exercise of religion since well before the First Amendment was ratified. Indeed, the two colonies originally most opposed to religious liberty for anyone who did not share their views, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, eventually became bastions of it. By focusing on law, Dr. Gerber offers new insights about each of the five English American colonies founded for religious reasons – Maryland, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts – and challenges the conventional view that colonial America had a unified religious history.
