Work continues on the pulpit and I start working on the head.

Did the 1 July fireworks by boat! Nice evening out on the water.

I have to run new wire for the nav lights on the bow pulpit.

There's a bunch of things that need to be done even though the boat is back in the water. So this is a start on said chores...

I have no idea what this episode is about. Probably something to do with plugging holes.

I discovered that the bilge pump was busted. So I had to replace it. When I did, I realized that the wiring was unacceptable so I needed to give that some attention too.

The new sails from North Sails have arrived

A red-letter day if I say so myself.

More work on the tiller. It's such a nice piece of wood. I like wood.

The time has come to sand the copper coat bottom treatment. It is now that I realize that a mistake has been made.

The tiller has seen better days so I take it in hand to do some repair work on it.

I decided upon the Cape Horn Windvane as a steering helper. The vane is light efficient, and can handle all varieties of sea & wind conditions. Putting it on a canoe stern is a challenge but quite do-able

More work on the `sprit platform.

The bow sprit is installed but getting out on the sprit to work with sails could be a bit trickey in a narrow stick. Especially when it's wet. I am going to reinstall the teak platforms to walk and work on.

I've selected Raymarine as my core electronics manufacturer. The 'triducer' is the first component to be installed as part of the electronics suite.

When I bought the boat it had a few sails in inventory but the working sails, main, jib & genoa needed to be replaced. This is a 'big-ticket' item on a boat so I sent out request for quotes and North Sails came back with the most reasonable quote in terms of price & time.

More work on the through hulls, and zincs.

The old (ancient) through-hulls & seacocks needed to be replaced badly. First step is to get the old ones out.

The boom is all pretty and ready to go back on the boat. A simple task that was made ridiculously difficult by a wee bit of a problem which I explain in the vid.

The cap rails haven't had any attention due to inclement weather. However, the weather has brightened up & warmed up so I take the opportunity to fill & seal the hull-deck joint. Check it out.

I assemble the boomkin and work on various other bits as well.

We take a break from working on the boat and go to the boat show to see what we can see. Most of the product catered to power boaters, but it was still fun & interesting nonetheless.
