The #1 Best Food for Your Brain
It’s no surprise that sugar is one of the worst foods for the brain. But can you guess what the best food for the brain is?
0:00 Introduction: The brain explained
1:00 The worst food for the brain
3:50 The best food for the brain
6:02 Is salmon keto-friendly?
6:40 Wild-caught salmon vs. farm-raised salmon
7:17 The best meal for the brain
8:00 Learn more about brain health!
Let’s talk about the #1 food for the brain.
It’s a misconception that the brain can't regenerate—certain parts of the brain can regrow.
The top foods to avoid to support a healthy brain are:
1. Omega-6 fatty acids (soy oil, corn oil, canola oil, and cottonseed oil)
2. Sugar
3. Refined carbs
The best food to support brain health is wild-caught salmon.
Wild-caught salmon can help enhance the brain in many ways, including supporting:
• Memory
• Focus
• Thinking
• Problem-solving
• Learning
It may also be beneficial for those with mood disorders or brain inflammation. Consuming more wild-caught salmon may even help reduce insulin resistance, which is at the core of many brain problems.
The brain is the fattiest organ in the body. Omega-3 fatty acids are the healthy fats your brain needs. They’re the building blocks of your brain. Wild-caught salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
Wild-caught salmon is keto-friendly. It’s low-carb and has a good amount of protein and nutrients. But, to get these incredible benefits for the brain, be sure the salmon you choose is wild-caught and not farm-raised.
Try having your salmon with a kale salad topped with olive oil and unfortified nutritional yeast to take your brain health to the next level.

Dr. Berg Gets Censured (Silenced)
Please Take This SURVEY: https://drbrg.co/survey-2
YouTube has now banned alternative views on health. Here’s what you need to know about this radical new change.
0:00 Introduction: New YouTube ban
0:12 What this new ban means
6:38 The #1 ranking video for the keto diet
12:05 What is your opinion?
YouTube has just banned anything related to health that doesn’t align with the general medical consensus.
If any information related to health doesn’t agree with the World Health Organization, the video won’t necessarily be taken down, but it may be hard to find.
This is supposed to protect viewers against misinformation and promote high-quality health information. But, their definition of misinformation is anything that opposes their viewpoint.
I currently have collected 7,607 success stories—I’m helping people. My information is not misinformation. It’s helpful information.
Traditional medicine doesn’t work for everyone, and people are looking for inexpensive natural remedies. How are they supposed to find alternative viewpoints or opinions?
A lot of people are searching for the keto diet. However, many medical professionals don't really understand nutritional ketosis.
Many times, doctors don’t get training in nutrition or alternatives. Yet these are the people who get to control this information.
Healthy ketosis is not toxic or dangerous. Ketones are a super fuel and are antioxidants. On the other hand, glucose is dangerous and toxic.
I would love to get your opinion on this situation. Please click the link above and go through the survey questions to let me know your opinion on this recent radical change of suppressing alternative viewpoints on health.

The ONLY Solution to Long COVID
Learn more about long COVID and discover the best natural remedies for post-COVID symptoms.
Video on Vitamin D Toxicity:

0:00 Introduction: Long COVID
0:10 Long COVID symptoms

6:30 What to do for long-term effects of COVID
7:09 The best natural remedies for post-COVID symptoms
9:25 Vitamin B1 and long-haul COVID
11:25 Learn more about vitamin D!
Let’s talk about the symptoms of long COVID and the natural things you can do if you experience these issues.
Post-COVID-19 symptoms can include:
• Fatigue
• Headaches
• Decreased attention
• Memory problems
• Shortness of breath
• Distortion of smell
• Muscle weakness
• Brain fog
• Post-exercise issues
Post-COVID symptoms are often worsened by both mental and physical stress.
Growing evidence shows that this problem is strongly associated with an alteration in the vitamin D genes.
If someone has a predisposition to a vitamin D deficiency, they may experience more COVID symptoms and have a higher risk of symptoms long after the original infection.
Vitamin D is the most essential vitamin to support the immune system, and vitamin D deficiencies increase the risk of viruses.
Many different things can decrease your absorption of vitamin D, and getting plenty of sun or taking a vitamin D supplement is crucial.
Vitamin D also controls folate, and a lack of folate is associated with the severity and duration of symptoms from the COVID-19 virus as well.
There are a few things you can try to increase your vitamin D, including:
• Vitamin D3 supplements (minimally 10,000 IU per day)
• Topical vitamin D (nanoemulsion technology)
• Semi-activated vitamin D
• Light therapy
Additional things you can do to help increase the effectiveness of the above options include:
1. Taking vitamin D3 irregularly
• You might take 50,000 IU of vitamin D3, then wait a few days, and take 20,000 IU of vitamin D3
2. Take the co-factors for vitamin D3, including:
• Magnesium
• Zinc
• Vitamin K2
3. Do intense exercise
4. Increase butyrate by consuming salad or vegetables
5. Consume sulforaphane (broccoli sprouts or other sprouts)
6. Consume omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil or cod liver oil)
Vitamin B1 (thiamine) and vitamin B3 may also be involved in long COVID. It’s important not to neglect B vitamins in your diet.
Consuming refined carbs, stress, or antibiotics can deplete vitamin B1. The ketogenic diet can also increase the demand for B vitamins.
You may want to take nutritional yeast or a natural B1 complex along with vitamin D3 to help support your body and overcome symptoms of long COVID.

7:40 How to get rid of a stye naturally
9:55 Learn more about the Healthy Keto® diet!
Today, I want to share a few interesting natural alternatives for styes.
A stye is a little pimple or pustule on the eyelid, usually involving a sebaceous gland. The sebaceous glands are oil glands. If one of these glands becomes clogged, it can lead to a staph infection and inflammation. It typically causes a lot of redness and irritation.
In many cases, within seven days, the stye will go away. But, some people deal with recurring styes. People with diabetes have a much higher incidence of styes and staph infections.
Sometimes retinoids, a type of vitamin A, are used as a treatment for styes. There is an interesting relationship between vitamin A and styes.
One thing that can occur with a vitamin A deficiency is hyperkeratosis. Hyperkeratosis causes a roughened extra layer of skin tissue in the ducts of the sebaceous glands. This means that a vitamin A deficiency can cause the sebaceous glands to be clogged, leading to inflammation.
A certain study on humans showed a significant vitamin A deficiency in those who had styes vs. those who did not.
Vitamin A is also important for the immune system. A deficiency in vitamin A can increase the risk of infection. Diabetes and insulin resistance can also impair the immune system.
Vitamin D is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatories, and vitamin D deficiency is associated with many different eye problems. Vitamin D deficiency may increase the risk of both infections and styes.
Zinc is important for building up the immune system and reducing the recurrence of styes.
Top causes of vitamin A deficiency:
• A lack of the active form of vitamin A in the diet (retinol)
• Gut inflammation
• Liver issues
• Gallbladder issues
• Lack of bile
• Zinc deficiency
• Alcohol
• Antibiotics
Foods rich in vitamin A include:
• Beef liver
• Egg yolks
• Fish
• Cod liver oil
The best natural ways to help get rid of a stye and keep it from coming back:
1. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet
2. Take vitamin A and vitamin D (cod liver oil)
3. Take zinc (200 mg for one week, then back to normal amounts)
4. Rub a clove of garlic on the stye a few times a day without getting the garlic in your eye
5. Make green tea, then place the cooled green tea bag on your eyelid over the stye

The Dangers and Benefits of Alkaline Water
Is alkaline water good for you? Here’s what you need to know about the benefits and dangers of alkaline water.

7:05 Is acidic water bad for you?
7:22 Alkalosis explained
8:55 Where does our water come from?
10:34 Learn more about carbonated water!
Today, we’re going to talk about the potential dangers and benefits of alkaline water.
Natural water from a well or spring is alkaline. It’s alkaline because it contains minerals like calcium and magnesium.
Many people believe that things that are acidic are unhealthy and things that are alkaline are healthy. But that’s not altogether true. We have a lot of different acids in our bodies that have many important functions.
We don’t need to worry about alkalizing the body. The body regulates the pH in different areas. For example, your blood should be slightly alkaline, but your stomach should be very acidic.
It’s possible to get alkaline water created by a machine that uses electricity to alter it instead of using minerals to alkalize it. If you drink alkaline water that's created artificially, you’re going to alter the pH in the stomach.
Potential side effects of alkaline water made artificially can include:
• Heartburn
• Acid reflux
• Gas
• GERD
• Infection
• Hair loss
• Heart arrhythmias
However, natural water, like alkaline spring water, has no side effects.
Alkalizing the stomach could lead to a deficiency in stomach acids. The stomach should be very acidic to help you break down protein, absorb minerals and vitamin B12, and kill pathogens. As we age, we lose stomach acid.
Antacids also weaken stomach acid. But, low stomach acid is the root cause of symptoms like heartburn, GERD, and acid reflux. Alkalizing the stomach instead of acidifying it could worsen these symptoms and lead to many other serious side effects.
I’ve found that I can digest better when I drink acidic water, like carbonated water—especially if I add a teaspoon of either apple cider vinegar or lemon juice.
Overall, alkaline water has certain health benefits because it contains minerals. But alkaline water is only beneficial if it’s natural and not created by a machine.

2:58 Root causes of depression and natural remedies for depression
11:15 Learn more about insomnia!
There is no evidence that depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain involving serotonin.
It has been found that SSRIs can temporarily help increase serotonin in the brain. However, drug trials have shown that these anti-depressants were almost indistinguishable from the placebo in treating depression.
SSRIs come with a lot of side effects, including serious side effects involving the sex organs. Psychiatric drugs also come with a black box warning, meaning there is a high risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
Does depression cause body problems, or do body problems cause depression? I think it could be both—but we’re going to focus on the body problems and deficiencies that could cause depression.
Potential causes of depression:
1. Insomnia
2. Chronic fatigue
3. Stress
4. Nutritional deficiencies (vitamin D, vitamin B12, vitamin B1, magnesium, DHA)
5. Lack of exercise

8:36 Learn more about the connection between your gut microbiome and neurotransmitters!
Let’s talk about dopamine.
Dopamine has many functions. It’s involved in body movement, sleep cycles, gastrointestinal motility, food intake, learning, kidney function, and blood pressure.
Dopamine is associated with behaviors and certain emotions. However, people on the lower end of the emotional scale aren't going to just have low dopamine but also other neurotransmitters and hormones. Dopamine is increased with pleasure, but it’s also increased with stress and pain.
Conditions related to low dopamine include:
• Parkinson’s
• Schizophrenia
• ADD or ADHD
• Depression
Medications used to treat the above conditions can deplete other neurotransmitters and have potential side effects.
Dopamine isn’t a single molecule that works on its own to create an effect. It’s a system that creates many different effects. Trying to increase dopamine without looking at the bigger picture isn’t going to work.
Here are some action steps you can take if you have low dopamine:
1. Get rid of artificial stimulus
2. Balance dopamine and other neurotransmitters
3. Consume a little more animal protein and fat
4. Support your gut microbiome
5. Get plenty of vitamin C (leafy greens or sauerkraut)
6. Get plenty of copper (shellfish or seafood)
Tips to help balance dopamine and other neurotransmitters naturally:
• Exercise consistently
• Get outside
• Get plenty of sun or vitamin D3
• Involve yourself in music or the arts
• Do things you like
• Get connected with other people
• Get plenty of tyrosine (consume high-quality animal protein)

The Benefits of Iodine, Side-Effects and More
Iodine is important—not just for your thyroid! Discover the incredible benefits of iodine.

6:15 Iodine deficiency
6:33 Signs of iodine deficiency
7:33 Iodine deficiency causes
9:13 Learn more about using iodine to get rid of skin tags and warts!
Today, I want to cover some interesting information on iodine that goes way beyond what it does for the thyroid.
Most of your iodine is stored in your thyroid. However, iodine is important for many other organs.
The RDAs for iodine in the US are 150 mcg. But, in Japan, on average, people consume 1000 to 3000 mcg of iodine daily. They also have fewer problems associated with iodine deficiency than we do in the US.
That being said, excess iodine can create just as many problems as a deficiency in iodine.
I think it’s most beneficial to get the iodine you need from food. Shellfish and sea kelp are rich in iodine. But there is also iodine in eggs, dairy, iodized salt, and sea salt.
Unless you consume foods rich in iodine, either from the sea or from vegetables grown on the coastline, chances are you’re not getting enough iodine in your diet.
Iodine may help with various conditions, including:
• Estrogen dominance
• Heavy periods
• Fibrocystic breasts
• Ovarian cysts
• Endometriosis
• Fibroids
• Prostate enlargement
• PCOS
• Cystic acne
• TB
• Croup
• Asthma
• Toenail fungus
• Warts and skin tags
• Thyroid conditions
• Weight gain
• Brain fog
• Feeling cold (excessively)
• Dry skin and hair
• Constipation
• Depression
Top causes of iodine deficiency:
• Consuming excessive amounts of raw cruciferous vegetables
• Consuming millet, soy, or sweet potatoes
• The vegan diet
• Pregnancy and lactation
• Low-salt diets
• Fluoride
• Bromide
• Perchlorate in water
• Nitrates

Let’s talk about how to detox the liver naturally and healthily.
The liver doesn’t hold or store toxins—it gets rid of toxins. When we’re talking about a liver cleanse, we’re talking about getting rid of fat, inflammation, and scar tissue in the liver. These things weaken the ability of the liver to detox.
The liver is the only organ that can completely regenerate, but there is a point of limitation.
Keep in mind that you can get rid of 50 percent of the fat in the liver just by going on a low-carb diet. You don’t need to get on a low-fat diet, but a low-carb diet is crucial.
Alcohol consumption can lead to fatty liver disease. But, one of the top causes of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is fructose.
The best foods for liver detoxification:
• Cruciferous vegetables
• Beets
• Blueberries
• Organ meats
• Grass-fed beef
• Eggs
• Fatty fish (salmon and sardines)
• Seafood
• Sauerkraut
• Kimchi
• Kefir
• Pickles
The best shakes and smoothies for liver detoxification:
1. One cup of blueberries blended with a couple of handfuls of frozen kale and some water
2. One to two cups of whole milk kefir blended with one cup of blueberries and water (optional)
The best drink for liver detoxification:
1. Two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with the juice of one lemon (or one blended whole lemon) and 12 ounces of water
The best supplements for liver detoxification:
• Milk thistle
• Choline
• Turmeric
• Purified bile salts
• Probiotics

The #1 Exercise to Lose Belly Fat (Easily)
Check out the #1 exercise to lose belly fat and other important tips to get your body to start burning fat instead of storing it.
DATA:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34822354/
0:00 Introduction: The easiest way to get rid of belly fat
0:10 Exercise for fat loss
0:25 Does reducing calorie intake work?
3:00 How to burn fat
6:55 Adapting to fat burning
9:25 The best exercise for belly fat
13:00 Stem cell therapy
15:35 Learn more about what to eat to lose belly fat!
Today, I want to share some essential information on how to get rid of belly fat fast.
Exercise contributes to about 15% of belly fat loss, and diet contributes about 85%.
The first step to burning fat is to switch the body’s fuel source from glucose to fat. Whether you burn sugar or fat depends on one hormone: insulin.
If your insulin goes up, you’ll burn sugar, and you won’t burn fat. If your insulin goes down, then you can burn fat.
Fat calories don’t influence insulin to any significant degree. But that doesn’t mean you can just consume unlimited amounts of fat and lose weight.
You also have to reduce your carbohydrates to force the body to burn fat. Once you start burning fat fuel, the body will develop a more available type of energy called ketones. Ketones are the byproduct of fat—energy your body can use as fuel.
Eating also increases insulin. To get into fat-burning mode, you need to lower your insulin by reducing your carbohydrates and doing intermittent fasting.
It’s also important to remember that even a little bit of carbs can stop you from burning fat. Consistency is key with this fat loss program. But, if you do this program 100 percent, your body will become an efficient fat-burning machine.
Getting into a state of fat-burning can help reduce insulin resistance, which may help correct a slow metabolism and help you lose stubborn weight. With these problems out of the way, you’ll notice a lot of success when you add exercise.
To help improve insulin resistance, try adding one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to your water and drink that two to three times a day using a straw.
The best exercise to burn belly fat is walking. Walking can help you lose belly fat even more than doing high-intensity exercise.
High-intensity interval training can help improve certain hormones and is essential for building muscle. But walking is better for losing fat.
It’s essential to walk an hour or two hours a day. Try using a pedometer and working on increasing your steps to 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day.
The most beneficial thing to do is walking along with high-intensity interval training. However, you will get more benefits out of walking.

Let’s talk about Ozempic. Ozempic is an injectable drug that’s used to help people lose weight. Yes, it may work. But it’s expensive and has serious potential side effects.
Ozempic increases a certain receptor that helps slow down digestion and decreases appetite and cravings. It also helps restore insulin levels and blood sugar levels.
Potential side effects of Ozempic can include:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Bloating
• Abdominal pain
• Headaches
• Gas
• Constipation
• Diarrhea
• Heartburn

7:18 Are omega-3-enriched eggs good for you?
7:58 Learn more about the benefits of eggs!
Let’s talk about conventional eggs vs. pasture-raised, organic eggs. There is a huge difference between the typical eggs at your grocery store and pasture-raised eggs.
Conventional eggs aren’t highly regulated. Even the expiration date isn’t regulated, so they may sit on the shelf for months before you get them.
However, one of the biggest issues we want to look at is what the chickens producing these eggs are fed. Chickens are meant to consume insects and worms. Instead, they’re fed GMO corn and soy.
What’s really shocking is that there is another ingredient in common chicken feeds called animal byproducts or animal protein products.
These animal protein products can include:
• Feathers
• Organs
• Blood
• Skin
• Manure
Even the vegetarian feeds are corn and soy—and it’s unnatural for chickens to consume grains alone.
Many people think that the color of a yolk will tell you the health of an egg. However, synthetic dyes are sometimes used in chicken feeds to give the yolk a certain color.
If a chicken eats what it should, the egg yolks will have a naturally vibrant golden color. In nature, it’s the antioxidants that give eggs this natural color. Eggs that have less of this natural color have fewer antioxidants.
Conventional eggs are produced by chickens in cages that never see the light of day. These chickens are very crowded and stressed.
Cage-free eggs are from chickens that are cage-free, but they’re still crowded in an enclosed space. Antibiotics can also be used on conventional and cage-free chickens.
Free-range chickens have slightly more space than cage-free chickens, and they have limited outdoor access. However, pasture-raised chickens have far more space and the ability to forage for food.
Pasture-raised eggs have higher amounts of fat-soluble vitamins and other essential nutrients. Organic, pasture-raised eggs are antibiotic-free, hormone-free, arsenic-free, and free of pesticides, insecticides, and herbicides.
Not only that but organic, pasture-raised eggs are produced by chickens that aren’t fed poultry slaughter byproducts.
You may have noticed omega-3-enriched eggs on the market. You don’t know the source of omega-3 fatty acids that are being used, and I think you’d be better off going with organic, pasture-raised eggs. Or, try raising your own chickens if possible!

Raw vs. Cooked Veggies: Which is Better?
Does heating vegetables destroy nutrients? Here’s what you need to know about raw vs. cooked vegetables.
8 Reasons Why You Should Eat More Sauerkraut:
0:00 Introduction: Raw vs. cooked vegetables
0:10 Top benefits of vegetables
5:05 Organic vegetables vs. non-organic vegetables
5:45 When you shouldn’t consume vegetables
7:57 Does heat destroy vegetables?
9:39 Which is better: raw vegetables vs. cooked vegetables?
10:28 Discover the benefits of sauerkraut!
Is it healthier to consume cooked vegetables or raw vegetables? That’s what we’re going to cover today.
Vegetables have numerous health benefits. They are packed with important vitamins and minerals and are high in fiber.
Vegetables are also loaded with phytonutrients, which are hard to get from other types of foods. Phytonutrients have a range of incredible health benefits, from protecting against inflammation to fighting cancer.
Raw vegetables grown on soil even contain probiotics, which are friendly bacteria. Organic vegetables have a higher diversity of friendly microbes than non-organic vegetables. But keep in mind that the more you cook a vegetable, the more you’ll lessen the probiotic effects.
It’s important to note that not everyone can tolerate high amounts of vegetables. If you are immune compromised or have any inflammatory condition in the gut, you may have difficulty consuming vegetables.
If you consume raw vegetables and you feel worse, you may do better on the carnivore diet for a while. However, you could also try fermented vegetables or cooked vegetables.
When you cook vegetables, you destroy many of the vitamins and enzymes in them. Heat also kills the microbes in vegetables.
However, if you lightly steam or sauté your vegetables, you won’t lose minerals or as many vitamins. Steaming or sautéing vegetables may actually enhance the phytonutrients—but the data on this is inconsistent.
As far as raw vegetables vs. cooked vegetables, I believe it’s best to consume a good portion of your vegetables raw. But, certain vegetables should be cooked, like Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and cauliflower.
The worst thing you can do as far as preserving the nutrient content in your vegetables is to fry them. You can still consume fried vegetables but don’t think you’re getting a lot of nutrients from them.

5:58 Learn more about olive oil!
Today, I want to cover the fascinating benefits of olive oil.
Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects. Olive oil also has incredible effects on certain parts of the body, including:
• The cardiovascular system
• The nerves and brain
• The skin
• The eyes
Olive oil is a good source of healthy fats and contains vitamins E and K1. However, the real benefits of olive oil occur because of a group of plant chemicals called polyphenols.
Polyphenols produce many amazing effects on the body, like helping to prevent complications from chronic disease and oxidative stress.
It’s crucial to get real olive oil that’s organic. This is because glyphosate (an herbicide) blocks a plant’s ability to produce amino acids and polyphenols. Glyphosate can also lead to a myriad of other health concerns.
Keep in mind that salads contain polyphenols and other phytonutrients. Plus, adding olive oil to salads helps increase the absorption of phytonutrients.

The Dark Side of Zinc for Hair: Vital Tip for Hair Growth
If you’re experiencing hair loss or other problems with your hair, you might be consuming too much zinc. Learn more!
Check out Dr Berg's Zinc product with the blend of trace minerals. You can search in on amazon under Dr Berg's Trace Minerals or go to drberg.com. This product has not only zinc but copper as well in a blend of all trace minerals.
0:00 Introduction: The dark side of zinc
0:17 What is zinc?
0:35 Symptoms of zinc deficiency related to your hair
2:13 Symptoms of too much zinc related to your hair
3:15 Zinc dosage
3:35 Zinc toxicity symptoms
4:58 How much zinc do you need?
6:50 Learn more about zinc!
Let’s talk about the dark side of zinc. Zinc is one of the most important trace minerals for your hair. But having too much zinc can be just as damaging to your hair as zinc deficiency.
Zinc is a trace mineral, and it’s involved in over 300 different enzymes. Zinc is needed to support the growth of hair follicles. With low zinc, you could experience hair loss.
Zinc is also needed for collagen and keratin. If you're deficient in zinc, you could notice thin and brittle hair.
Having too much zinc can lead to copper deficiency. The more zinc you take, the more copper you need. Copper is also involved in hair growth, hair color, and the structural integrity of the hair.
The most zinc an adult could take without experiencing any side effects is roughly about 40 mg per day.
Symptoms of zinc toxicity can include:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Decreased appetite
• Abdominal cramps
• Diarrhea
• Headaches
But, you may need even higher amounts of zinc short-term for certain health problems. The key is to make sure you always consume enough copper as well. The correct zinc-to-copper ratio is roughly ten to one.
It’s important to remember that when you consume foods high in zinc, your body only absorbs 20 to 40 percent of it. There are a lot of various things that decrease the absorption of zinc.
It’s important to avoid things that prevent the absorption of zinc and consume foods high in zinc. You may also want to consider a zinc supplement as well as make sure you're getting plenty of copper.
