Today, I want to share the best food for inflammation.
This food is powerful for any type of inflammatory condition, autoimmune disease, or any condition that ends in “itis.”
There is an interesting connection between inflammation in your joints and inflammation in your gut. To get rid of inflammation, we can’t forget about supporting a healthy gut.
Top foods that cause inflammation:
• Grains
• Alcohol
• Sugar
• Junk foods/ultra-processed foods
• Corn
• Soy
• Seed oils
• A1 milk proteins
• Fiber and functional fiber products
• Plant-protein products
Even beans, legumes, and vegetables can contribute to the problem if you have an inflammatory condition. You may need to try the carnivore diet for a little while.
The root cause of inflammation starts in the gut, and it’s called intestinal permeability or leaky gut. Glutamine, an important amino acid for your colon cells, is essential for this situation.
The best food to fight inflammation is beef, which is very high in glutamine. Glutamine greatly supports the gut and is beneficial for inflammatory conditions.
One of the best anti-inflammatory foods for vegans and vegetarians is cabbage. Cabbage, especially red cabbage, is a great source of glutamine.
Other foods rich in glutamine include:
• Sheep or goat cheese
• Kefir
• Eggs
• Fish
• Bone broth

Let’s talk about how to fix sciatica pain. Sciatica is a problem with the sciatic nerve, which is the longest and largest nerve in the body. 90% of sciatica cases involve the discs in your spine.
Copper is used topically in many types of natural therapies for inflammation and pain. It’s also used for myeloneuropathy, which can lead to various nerve problems. In many cases, myeloneuropathy is caused by a copper deficiency.
Copper is very low-risk, non-toxic, and relatively inexpensive—it’s something many people can try.
One of the enzymes that greatly impacts sciatica is the same enzyme that uses copper as an essential cofactor for building collagen. 75% of the outer part of the discs in your spine are made out of collagen. Copper is also used in enzymes involving your nerves and is essential for many other bodily functions.
Top causes of copper deficiency:
• A lack of copper in the diet
• Intense physical exercise (especially at higher altitudes)
• Taking a lot of zinc, iron, potassium, or niacin without also taking copper
• Consuming enriched flour products
• Consuming fluoride from tap water
• Taking high amounts of ascorbic acid
• Excessive sweating
• Sun tanning too often
• Stress, high levels of DHEA, or high levels of cortisol
• Consuming distilled water
• Gastric bypass surgery
• Consuming too much sugar, coffee, alcohol, or aspartame
A genetic problem with copper absorption can also lead to a deficiency in copper.
A copper brace that wraps around the buttocks where the sciatic nerve is or other topical copper remedies may be beneficial for sciatic nerve pain. But ensuring you’re getting enough copper from your diet is also essential.
Foods high in copper include:
1. Liver
2. Oysters
3. Shellfish
4. Dark chocolate (sugar-free)
5. Cashews
6. Meat
You may also want to consider taking a copper supplement. Remember that if you have a genetic issue related to copper, you may need to take copper supplements in higher amounts.

0:00 Introduction: Common intermittent fasting mistakes
0:10 How to avoid intermittent fasting mistakes
11:40 Make sure you can always find unfiltered health information by signing up for my newsletter!
12:03 Learn more about how to do intermittent fasting!
There are seven big mistakes people make when they start intermittent fasting. Today, I’m going to cover what they are and how to avoid them.
The biggest intermittent fasting mistakes:
1. Eating too much of the wrong foods when not fasting, like peanut butter, almond flour, and keto bars or desserts
• Consume organic Valencia peanut butter.
• Consume celery with your peanut butter.
• Consume other types of nuts.
• Include healthy, high-quality foods in your diet, like meats, eggs, fish, and vegetables.
2. Not doing keto and intermittent fasting together
• Doing keto and intermittent fasting together will make fasting easier and boost your results.
3. Doing low-result patterns of fasting
• Choose a pattern that includes one to two meals a day with no snacks between your meals.
• Try to go as long as you can before you have your first meal.
• Try to make your eating window only two to four hours and your fasting period at least 20.
4. Stuffing yourself
• Your body consumes your own fat when you’re not eating food.
• Don’t worry about how many calories you need to consume. Instead, just think about what you feel comfortable eating in your meal.
5. Not taking B vitamins and electrolytes
• Your body demands more B vitamins and electrolytes when you’re fasting.
• Get B vitamins from a natural source like nutritional yeast.
• Consume a high-quality electrolyte product with high amounts of potassium and no hidden maltodextrin.
6. Not doing the healthy version of the keto diet
• Avoid dirty keto and do Healthy Keto® instead.
7. Stopping if they plateau
• You may lose more weight at first because it’s water weight. After you lose water weight, your weight loss may slow, but you’re burning fat—this is normal.
• There are things you can do to speed up the process, like fasting longer, cutting your carbs lower, doing periodic prolonged fasting, exercising, sleeping longer, reducing stress, and taking berberine or cinnamon.

DRINKING A LOT OF WATER WILL NOT HYDRATE YOU

Is drinking a lot of water healthy or not? Here’s what you should know.

1:10 Hyponatremia
4:55 Can you die from drinking too much water?
5:47 Drinking water to prevent kidney stones

Is drinking a lot of water good for you? Let’s talk about it.
I’m not against drinking water. I drink about two and a half liters of water every day.
However, water doesn’t actually hydrate you—it may even dehydrate you. There is even such a thing as water intoxication, also known as water poisoning or overhydration.
Specific proteins allow water to go into your cells with the help of electrolytes. When you drink excessive amounts of water without electrolytes, you dilute the body’s electrolytes—mainly sodium. Hyponatremia is a condition where a person has low sodium levels in the blood.
Symptoms of hyponatremia can include:
• Muscle weakness
• Headache
• Nausea
• Confusion
• Irritability
• Cramping
• Brain swelling
• EAH
Common causes of hyponatremia:
• Exercising
• Addison’s disease
• Drinking alcohol
• A hypothyroid condition
• Diuretics
• SSRIs
• Diabetes
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Excessive sweating
• Certain medications
Infants are also susceptible to hyponatremia.
There have actually been deaths caused by people drinking about six liters of water within a three-hour period.
On the flip side, if you’re susceptible to kidney stones, you should drink at least two and a half liters of fluid a day.
I think two to two and a half liters of fluid a day is reasonable. If you’re exercising, it’s important to make sure you don’t drink too much water without electrolytes, causing hyponatremia.
If you use an electrolyte powder in your water when exercising, make sure it’s a sports version with plenty of sodium or take sodium with it.

Let’s talk about how to get rid of eye floaters.
Eye floaters are an accumulation of collagen fiber in a certain form that’s damaged—it’s been glycated. This means it’s stuck to a sugar molecule.
When a protein is connected to a sugar, or sugar is connected to a fat, it becomes unavailable and can clog up the body.
A lack of antioxidants, as well as a high-carb diet, can contribute to glycation.
But there are things you can do to help prevent glycation. Taking these natural remedies for eye floaters on an empty stomach may be best so they don’t interfere with other proteins.
The best natural remedies for eye floaters:
1. Choline (1000 mg per day)
2. Inositol (500 mg per day)
3. Methionine (200 mg per day)
4. L-lysine (one to three grams)
These remedies can take time to work—even months. To help enhance and speed up the process, you can try intermittent and prolonged fasting.
It’s also crucial to start cutting sugar out of your diet. Getting on the Healthy Keto® diet may help balance your blood sugar levels and increase your antioxidants to get rid of floaters.
The best foods to consume to help get rid of eye floaters:
1. Vegetables high in vitamin C
2. Meats and seafood high in zinc

6:17 Learn more about how kefir can help you sleep!
Let’s talk about what kefir is and how it can help you start sleeping better. This is an updated version of a video I did on this topic, with additional tips for better sleep using kefir.
Kefir is a fermented drink. There are about five times the beneficial microbes in kefir than in yogurt. Kefir has a combination of friendly bacteria and yeast—it even has friendly candida.
There are definitely benefits to consuming yogurt, but kefir may be even more beneficial—especially to help you sleep at night.
The microbes in kefir can survive the stomach acid, but the microbes in yogurt can’t. Kefir is a probiotic that helps provide the precursor to melatonin and helps lower cortisol.
A certain strain of microbe that’s in kefir helps increase oxygen and blood flow in the body, which helps you get better sleep. The microbes in kefir also make vitamin B1, an essential vitamin for reducing stress and anxiety. Vitamin B1 also helps support the parasympathetic nervous system, which promotes rest and healthy digestion.
Kefir helps you absorb certain minerals like calcium and magnesium. These two minerals are wonderful to support sleep. Kefir may also be easier to digest for people with sensitivities to milk.
Other potential health benefits of kefir include:
• Helping with allergies or asthma
• Balancing cholesterol
• Reducing bloating or constipation
• Supporting the immune system
Tips for using kefir to sleep better through the night:
1. If you’re doing intermittent fasting, consume kefir at the end of your last meal rather than right before bed.
2. Consume sheep or goat milk kefir if possible.
3. Buy raw milk kefir if possible, or consider making your own kefir from raw milk.
4. Get plain whole milk kefir—not low-fat kefir.

This Is WHY You Are Really Deficient in Magnesium
SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEWSLETTER HERE: https://drbrg.co/49e0Ros
Many people think they’re getting enough magnesium from their diet—they're not.
0:00 Introduction: How much magnesium do you need?
0:30 Magnesium RDAs
0:45 Magnesium benefits
1:19 Magnesium deficiency causes
1:32 Foods rich in magnesium
4:00 Magnesium supplements
4:08 Make sure you can always find unfiltered health information by signing up for my newsletter!
4:30 Learn more about magnesium!
Getting magnesium from your diet is not as easy as you might think. On top of that, many people aren’t sure what foods are rich in magnesium.
I’m going to cover just how much of certain foods you would need to consume to meet your daily magnesium requirement.
The recommended daily amount (RDA) of magnesium for men is about 420 mg. Women need about 320 mg of magnesium per day.
The amounts I will cover are focused on the magnesium requirements for men. It will be a little less for women.
Magnesium is so important to support a healthy body, but 40% of the population has a magnesium deficiency.
Health benefits of magnesium:
• It’s essential for generating energy
• It helps reduce cramps
• It helps decrease stress
• It helps lower cortisol
• It helps support sleep
• It reduces inflammation
• It supports healthy blood sugar levels
Vitamin D also won’t work well in the body if you don't have enough magnesium.
Consuming certain things can lead to magnesium deficiency. These things include:
• Sugar
• Refined carbohydrates
• Grains
• Certain medications
• Phytates
• Oxalates
Here are the foods high in magnesium and the amounts you would need to consume every day to get the magnesium you need:
Bananas — 11 cups
Almonds — 5 ounces
Spinach — 2 1/2 cups
Dark chocolate — 6 ounces
Avocados — 7 cups
Fish — 14.8 ounces
Beef — 4 pounds
Bok choy — 22 cups
Zucchini — 19 cups
Eggs — 67
Iceberg lettuce —57 cups
Romaine lettuce — 30 cups
Swiss chard or kale — 3 to 5 cups
The problems are that some foods above are high in oxalates, or consuming the amounts you would need is obviously unreasonable.
This is why many people choose to enhance their diet with magnesium supplements.
One thing you can also do is consume leafy greens with cheese. This will prevent the magnesium from being bound up.

Are ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) Gummies Healthy?

5:38 Learn more about apple cider vinegar!
If you’re thinking about buying apple cider vinegar gummy supplements—don’t. Let’s talk about why.
A lot of different companies are coming out with these apple cider vinegar gummy bears or gummy supplements, but the formulas are very similar.
While the claims are incredible, the products are not. In reality, these ACV gummy products are misleading and can even be damaging.
The biggest problem with these apple cider vinegar gummies is the sugar content. They typically have three to five grams of sugar per serving size. One teaspoon of sugar is four grams.
These apple cider vinegar supplements are not keto—they’re candy.
These gummies will actually bump you out of ketosis. On top of that, they will leave you feeling bloated and tired. Instead of helping you lose weight, they’ll actually prevent weight loss.
One serving size of apple cider vinegar gummies only contains about 500 mg of apple cider vinegar. An average serving size of liquid apple cider vinegar is 15 grams.
This means that about one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar is equal to the whole bottle of apple cider vinegar gummies.
A much better way to take apple cider vinegar is to mix liquid apple cider vinegar into water and drink it through a straw. I suggest using Fairchild’s Organic Apple Cider Vinegar.

Vitamin D and the Magnesium Deficiency: IMPORTANT

3:15 Learn more about magnesium!
Let’s talk about magnesium and vitamin D. About 75 percent of the population has low vitamin D levels, and 45 percent have low magnesium levels.
All of the enzymes involved in converting vitamin D to the active form depend on magnesium. Vitamin D won’t work in the body if you have a magnesium deficiency.
Vitamin D is vitally important for the body, and it’s crucial to do what you can to avoid a vitamin D deficiency.
Vitamin D also supports the absorption of magnesium. Vitamin D and magnesium work synergistically.
Vitamin D and magnesium are also important to support the absorption and regulation of calcium. Magnesium helps prevent calcium from building up in your arteries.
The body needs about twice as much calcium as magnesium. But many people are actually getting about three times as much calcium as magnesium.
Having excess calcium with a magnesium deficiency can lead to serious side effects, including cancer.
Thankfully, the solution is simple. You need to increase magnesium by consuming magnesium-rich foods, like leafy greens.

0:00 Introduction: Is fasting dangerous?
0:10 Benefits of fasting
0:16 Fasting explained
1:15 Dangers of prolonged fasting
13:58 Learn more about how to do intermittent fasting!
Today, let’s talk about the benefits and dangers of fasting.
Some of the top benefits of fasting include weight loss, cognitive improvements, and enhanced heart function.
Most of the dangers of fasting I’m going to cover aren’t related to a 16 to 18-hour fast. This applies more to prolonged fasting, which is when a person fasts for 48 to 72 hours—or even longer.
The purpose of eating is not just to get fuel. It’s also to get nutrients. When you’re fasting, you’re restricting nutrients. If your diet isn’t providing you with the nutrients you need when you do eat, you could end up with deficiencies that lead to certain issues.
It’s crucial to do a prolonged fast correctly and avoid common mistakes related to the dark side of fasting.
The dark side of prolonged fasting:
1. Refeeding syndrome
When you come off of a fast, have a small amount of food, wait a couple of hours, and have a little bit more. Avoid overeating or eating carbs.
2. Dirty keto
Make sure you consume nutrient-dense, high-quality foods on the keto diet.
3. Not taking nutrients while fasting
At the bare minimum, you need to take electrolytes, sea salt, trace minerals, and B vitamins while fasting.
4. Kidney stones
Avoid high-oxalate foods if you’re prone to kidney stones. Also, consume at least two and a half liters of fluid a day, and add lemon juice to your water. When you’re back to having meals, consume large salads.
5. Anorexia
Anorexia will cause nutritional deficiencies. Instead of fasting, get on the keto diet.
6. Athletes that have not adapted to fat yet
Give your body enough time to become fully fat-adapted before attempting prolonged fasting.
7. Fasting for children
Fasting isn’t a good idea for children. Eating three meals a day and cutting out snacking may be beneficial for children. Teenagers who are overweight may consider two meals a day without snacking.
8. Not getting enough nutrition while pregnant or lactating
Not getting enough nutrients while pregnant or lactating can lead to issues for the mother and child. Choosing a whole-food, natural prenatal vitamin over a synthetic prenatal vitamin is also important.
9. Muscle loss
If you’re older and noticing muscle loss, try adding a blend of amino acids to your diet.
10. Ketoacidosis
This rare condition occurs in people under very specific circumstances and isn't something most people should be concerned about.

13:05 Muscle loss on keto
15:22 Learn more about sleep apnea!
Let’s talk about the best ways to increase growth hormone, especially as you age.
In adults, growth hormone is crucial for muscle building and fat burning. It’s also important for building tendons, ligaments, collagen, joints, and bones. However, growth hormone dramatically decreases with age.
Side effects of a deficiency in growth hormone can include:
• Difficulty building muscle
• Cognitive issues
• Lowered mood
• Higher levels of LDL
• Hair loss
• Insomnia
Here are the top things that can block growth hormone:
• Insomnia
• Sleep apnea
• High blood sugar
• High insulin
• Chronic stress
• Liver problems
The pituitary gland produces growth hormone. Instead of replacing the hormone with a synthetic version, why don’t we support the gland that makes growth hormone?
How to increase growth hormone naturally:
1. Try Pituitrophin PMG from Standard Process
2. Do intense exercise
3. Take milk thistle (if you have a liver problem)
4. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet
5. Do cold immersion therapy
6. Do heat therapy
7. Do intermittent fasting
Some people find their muscles look flat or dehydrated after getting on keto. In this situation, it’s important to drink plenty of water with electrolytes, especially potassium and sodium. This will help keep the muscles hydrated. You could also try increasing your carbs to 50 grams per day by consuming foods like berries but still avoiding refined carbs and sugar.

DON'T Make These Mistakes When Trying to Boost Your Metabolism
Avoid these big diet mistakes and try my tips to burn fat instead.
0:00 Introduction: How to burn fat and lose weight
0:10 What is metabolism?
0:20 Common diet mistakes to avoid
6:15 How to lose weight healthily
10:20 Learn more about what a healthy diet looks like!
Today, I want to cover the five worst diet mistakes, especially when trying to boost metabolism.
The top mistakes dieters make:
1. Trying to boost metabolism
A slow metabolism is not really a slow metabolism at all—it’s an efficient metabolism. Stimulating your metabolism is a bad idea because you’ll burn it out.
2. Going on a low-calorie diet
Many people who appear to have a slow metabolism have a history of going on low-calorie diets.
3. Stoking the metabolic flame
People do this by consuming six small meals throughout the day. But eating frequently doesn’t speed up your metabolism. Every time you eat, you stimulate insulin. Even in small amounts, insulin can prevent you from burning fat.
4. Overtraining
Fat burning occurs in the recovery phase. Overtraining doesn’t allow your body to recover.
5. Consuming processed protein shakes
Protein stimulates three of the fat-burning hormones. But, the quality of the protein is crucial. Many protein shakes are refined and are of poor quality. The protein powders are also typically very high on the insulin index scale. Try consuming high-quality animal protein instead.
Remember, it’s not "lose weight to get healthy." It’s "get healthy to lose weight." Switching to using fat as your fuel instead of glucose and converting your body into a state of ketosis will help you lose weight.
You’ll know you’re in ketosis when you can do intermittent fasting and your appetite and cravings disappear.
To burn fat as fuel, you must consume moderate amounts of high-quality protein and avoid high-carb foods. High-intensity interval training with a lot of recovery will also help you burn fat. On top of that, you need to keep your stress low and get plenty of sleep when trying to lose weight.
