Kansas City Automotive Museum Car Show - May 18th, 2024
It was around 70° early on this Saturday morning, so a beautiful start to the day. I rolled myself out of bed and headed over to the Kansas Automotive Museum for a Cars & Coffee car show. It ended up being a good turnout with the weather being wonderful and all. A Pontiac Fiero group occupied a good portion of the museum's parking lot, one silver Fiero had a V8 shoved in its tiny back end. I saw a few other Miata's, but some of them left before I could get a photo of them. Sadly, my older brother Cecil passed away about a week ago, so I'm going to try and fix his prized possession, a 1982 Stingray Corvette, and get it ready for car show this summer. He would really like that. But I first have to get the brakes to work on the his Corvette first.
I took several video clips with my iPhone, but unfortunately, the phone's camera messed up each time.
This video was created on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. Edited using CapCut.

A Miata Drive To The "Cars Beyond The Boulevard" Charity Car Show - Featuring A Cybertruck
It began to rain at about the same time I took off in the Miata to go drive to the "Cars Beyond The Boulevard" car show, which was being held at Theater In The Park out by Shawnee Mission Park. As I took off a bit after 12:00 noon, it began to sprinkle. Fortunately by the time I reach the car show event, I discovered there was still a decent turnout despite the rain. The highlight of this car show was the Tesla Cybertruck. I chatted with the gentleman that owns it some. Turns out he most likely was the guy driving the Cybertruck I passed out in Leawood about three weeks prior.
During the car show, the rains held back pretty good, only a light drizzle here and there. All in all, it was a pretty good car show, it being on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
100% of the proceeds to this event went to the "Care Beyond The Boulevard". For more information, go to Care Beyond the Boulevard at https://www.carebeyondtheboulevard.org/

Wikipedia:
The Tesla Cybertruck is a battery electric medium duty full-size pickup truck built by Tesla, Inc. since 2023. Introduced as a concept vehicle in November 2019, it has a triangular body with flat sheet stainless steel panels.
Tesla planned to produce the vehicle in 2021, but it was first delivered to customers in late November 2023. As of December 2023, the Cybertruck is available only in North America. Three models are offered: the tri-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) "Cyberbeast", a dual-motor AWD model, and a rear-wheel drive (RWD) model, with EPA range estimates of 250–340 miles (400–550 km), varying by model. There was a US NHTSA recall issued for all delivered Cybertrucks in April 2024 over an accelerator pedal pad that could come loose.

Low Poly Car Build - Sketchfab Build
This is the first car model that I built in Blender. It's a red 2-door sports car coup with mag wheels and nice wide tires to grip the road with. All low poly: A total of 1.8k triangles and 1.3k vertices. You can go to Sketchfab.com and download the FBX file for free, under my Argyle302 account there. Or just do a search for "low poly red sports car". I gave it a quick animation so viewers could see the front and back of the car.
To download, go to sketchfab.com, Search for my page, Argyle302. Click on my “Low Poly Red Sports Car” build, then find the link to upload the .FBX file. When in Blender: Import > FBX file. Or try this link to get there:

Churchill Downs Fly Around - Home Of The Kentucky Derby
A simulated drone fly around of Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby using Google Earth Studios.

Wikipedia: Churchill Downs is a horse racing complex located on Central Avenue in south Louisville, Kentucky, United States, famed for hosting the annual Kentucky Derby. It officially opened in 1875 and was named for Samuel Churchill, whose family was prominent in Kentucky for many years. The first Kentucky Derby, a Thoroughbred sweepstakes and part of today's horse racing Triple Crown, and the first Kentucky Oaks were held in the same year. Churchill Downs has also hosted the renowned Breeders' Cup on nine occasions, most recently on November 2 and 3, 2018.
The racetrack is owned and operated by Churchill Downs Incorporated. With the infield open for the Kentucky Derby, the capacity of Churchill Downs is roughly 170,000.
In 2009 the Horseplayers Association of North America introduced a rating system for 65 Thoroughbred racetracks in North America, which ranked Churchill Downs number 5 on its list.
In 2014, prior to the start of their spring meet, Churchill Downs announced an increase in parimutuel takeout rates. As a result of the takeout increase, Churchill Downs ranked number 22 in that year's Horseplayers Association of North America Track Ratings.
The track is named for John and Henry Churchill, who leased 80 acres (32 ha) of land to their nephew, Colonel Meriwether Lewis Clark Jr. (grandson of explorer William Clark). Clark was president of the Louisville Jockey Club and Driving Park Association, which formed in 1875. His father-in-law, Richard Ten Broeck, was an accomplished horse breeder and trainer, and introduced Clark to horse racing, attending the English Derby at Epsom Downs outside London.

A Miata Drive To Joe's KC BBQ - And A Cybertruck Sighting
A Miata Drive over to Joe's KC to meet up with family and cousins in town for some BBQ. We had quite a wait in line, considering it was a Thursday evening. The BBQ was good, and after went went back out to Leawood to socialize a while with Becky and Bill, who came into to town for the weekend to watch their daughters play in a volleyball tournament at Bartle Hall. On the way back to their house, my mom rode with me in the Miata. Driving down Mission Road went had a Cybertruck sighting. I could tell it was a Cybertruck when it was about a quarter a mile away, for its big headlights stood out in traffic.

The Fall Guy - Introducing Elmo
Elmo falls into a deep sleep and starts having a bizaare dream where he is free falling in space, then finally falls and lands on a nicely mowed patch of grass. He picks himself up from the long drop and notices a mirror in front of him. Elmo's curiosity kicks in and has to approach the mirror to get a closer look. And when he finally is standing next to the mirror, he has a sudden urge to walk through the glass. And when he does he experiences a time-space portal which then drops him from another mirror in and hurdles him back into space for another long free fall.
A few moments later, he lands on another patch of grass and sees another mirror ahead of him. Is this a different patch of grass or a new patch of grass? Is this a different mirror or another mirror? Elmo is drawn to the mirror once again, and walks through it again, thus perpetually putting him into a dreamscape free-falling time-loop dream, and Elmo starts to wonder if he will ever get out of it? It looks like Elmo is experiencing a series case of Deja Vu!
Stay tuned for more Elmo in the future to find out!
Elmo is the 2nd part of the duo of Argyle and Elmo, which I created years ago. It took me approximately 6 days to develop Elmo and then create this video. In the making of this video, I learned how to make easy grass in Blender, how to create fog in Blender, , how to make a mirror in Blender, make an object disappear using CapCut, and how to repeat rigged actions in Blender.
Why go see "The Fall Guy" in theaters when you can catch "The Fall Guy" right here on Rumble, starring Elmo?!
This video was created on April 23rd, 2024, using Blender 4.0.2, and CapCut for editing. Mixamo.com was used to help animate Elmo.

Argyle Throws A Snowball ( Revised )
On a snowy winter day, Argyle decides to go outside and test his snowball throwing skills. He finds that the snow packs well, and that he can still get some nice velocity on the snowball when he tosses it across the field.
"Right down the middle! Just the way he likes it!"
I put this video together to display using Blender to build my Argyle character creation, and with the aide of the Mixamo website's armature-rigging animation presets, I was able to make Argyle come to life and throw a snowball. I used the "Grease Pencil" feature in Blender, and only applied it to the snowball. I think it added a nice touch to it. A few tweaks here and there in Blender, and this is my final result.
My goal is to create a short animation of a snowball fight between Argyle and Elmo, but that's gonna take some work. But small steps first....
This video was created on April 18th, 2024, using Blender 4.0.2, Mixamo, and CapCut for edit purposes.

Argyle Dances Gangnam Style
Introducing my new animated version of Argyle, doing the Gangnam Style dance. Argyle is a cartoon character I created years ago. I decided to build him in 3D using Blender, and then using a new rigging animation feature in Maximo to bring him to life.
After many struggles and setbacks trying to get his newly constructed figure to work in Maximo, I finally succeeded in animating him. I chose this Gangnam Style dance to introduce him to the rest of the world. I admit, this animation is a bit over the top, but it's all in fun.
There are a few elements of Argyle that I most likely will change in the future, including his hair, his shirt, maybe his eyes, and the shape of his head, to try and get him closer to what I envisioned him to be when I first created him. Much more of Argyle and his friend Elmo, and The Duck Song Duck to come soon!
In this video I incorporate a rigged 3D character rigged for actions, tiny blinking lights, revolving text, and shattered glass text for the ending title. Also added are some extra text and effects used by editing in CapCut.

Christ The Redeemer - Rio de Janeiro
This is a simulation fly-around video of the iconic Christ The Redeemer statue of Jesus Christ, located on top of Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Take in the majestic views of city of Rio, which surrounds the mountain down below, A view which you can only see if you scale the 2,300 foot landscape in person.
Wikipedia:
Christ the Redeemer (Portuguese: Cristo Redentor, standard Brazilian Portuguese: [ˈkɾistu ʁedẽˈtoʁ]) is an Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created by French-Polish sculptor Paul Landowski and built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with French engineer Albert Caquot. Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida sculpted the face. Constructed between 1922 and 1931, the statue is 30 metres (98 ft) high, excluding its 8-metre (26 ft) pedestal. The arms stretch 28 metres (92 ft) wide. It is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone. Christ The Redeemer differs considerably from its original design, as the initial plan was a large Christ with a globe in one hand and a cross in the other. Although the project organisers originally accepted the design, it later changed to the statue of today, with the arms spread out wide.
The statue weighs 635 metric tons (625 long, 700 short tons), and is located at the peak of the 700-metre (2,300 ft) Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca National Park overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro. This statue is the largest Art Deco style sculpture in the world. A symbol of Christianity around the world, the statue has also become a cultural icon of both Rio de Janeiro and Brazil and was voted one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.
Vincentian priest Pedro Maria Boss first suggested placing a Christian monument on Mount Corcovado in the mid-1850s to honor Princess Isabel, regent of Brazil and the daughter of Emperor Pedro II, but the project was not approved. In 1889, the country became a republic, and owing to the separation of church and state the proposed statue was dismissed.
The Catholic Circle of Rio made a second proposal for a landmark statue on the mountain in 1920. The group organized an event called Semana do Monumento ("Monument Week") to attract donations and collect signatures to support the building of the statue. The organization was motivated by what they perceived as "Godlessness" in the society. The donations came mostly from Brazilian Catholics. The designs considered for the "Statue of the Christ" included a representation of the Christian cross, a statue of Jesus with a globe in his hands, and a pedestal symbolizing the world. The statue of Christ the Redeemer with open arms, a symbol of peace, was chosen.
Local engineer Heitor da Silva Costa and artist Carlos Oswald designed the statue. French sculptor Paul Landowski created the work.
In 1922, Landowski commissioned fellow Parisian Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida, who studied sculpture at the Fine Arts Conservatory in Bucharest and in Italy.

Wikipedia:
Garden of the Gods (Arapaho: Ho3o’uu Niitko’usi’i) is a 1,341.3 acre public park located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. 862 acres (3.49 sq km) of the park was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1971.
The garden's red rock formations were created millions of years ago during a geological upheaval event called the Laramide Orogeny. Archaeological evidence shows that prehistoric people visited Garden of the Gods about 1330 BC. At about 250 BC, Native American people camped in the park; they are believed to have been attracted to wildlife and plant life in the area and used overhangs created by the rocks for shelter. Many native peoples have reported a connection to Garden of the Gods: Apache, Cheyenne, Comanche, Kiowa, Lakota, Pawnee, Shoshone and Ute people.
Multiple American Indian Nations traveled through Garden of the Gods. The Utes' oral traditions tell of their creation at the Garden of the Gods, and petroglyphs have been found in the park that are typical of early Utes. The Utes found red rocks to have a spiritual connection and camped near Manitou Springs and the creek near Rock Ledge Ranch bordering Garden of the Gods. The Old Ute Trail went past Garden of the Gods to Ute Pass and led later explorers through Manitou Springs. Starting in the 16th century, Spanish explorers and later European American explorers and trappers traveled through the area, including Lt. John C. Frémont and Lt. George Frederick Ruxton, who recorded their visits in their journals.
In 1879 AD, Charles Elliott Perkins, a friend of William Jackson Palmer, purchased 480 acres (1.94 sq km) of land that included a portion of the present Garden of the Gods.[citation needed] Upon Perkins' death, his family gave the land to the City of Colorado Springs in 1909, with the provision that it would be a free public park. Palmer had owned the Rock Ledge Ranch and upon his death it was donated to the city.
Helen Hunt Jackson wrote of the park, "You wind among rocks of every conceivable and inconceivable shape and size... all bright red, all motionless and silent, with a strange look of having been just stopped and held back in the very climax of some supernatural catastrophe."
In 1995, the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center was opened just outside the park.
The outstanding geologic features of the park, including Steamboat Rock, the Three Graces, and Balanced Rock, are the ancient sedimentary beds of deep-red, pink and white sandstones, conglomerates and limestone that were deposited horizontally, but have now been tilted vertically and faulted into "fins" by the immense mountain building forces caused by the uplift of the Rocky Mountains and the Pikes Peak massif. The following Pleistocene Ice Age resulted in erosion and glaciation of the rock, creating the present rock formations. Evidence of past ages can be read in the rocks: ancient seas, eroded remains of ancestral mountain ranges, alluvial fans, sandy beaches and great sand dune fields.

Apple Park Way - Fly Around

Wikipedia:
Apple Park, also known as Apple Campus 2, is the corporate headquarters of Apple Inc., located in Cupertino, California, United States. It was opened to employees in April 2017, while construction was still underway, and superseded Apple Campus as the company's corporate headquarters, which opened in 1993.
The main building's scale and circular groundscraper design, by Norman Foster, have earned the structure the media nickname "the spaceship". Located on a suburban site totaling 1.46 km2 (360 acres), it houses more than 12,000 employees in one central four-story circular building of approximately 0.26 km2 (64 acres). Apple co-founder Steve Jobs wanted the campus to look less like a business park and more like a nature refuge; 80 percent of the site consists of green space planted with drought-resistant trees and plants indigenous to the Cupertino area, and the center courtyard of the main building features an artificial pond.

Escape To Alcatraz - Fly Around
A simulation fly around and fly by of the Alcatraz Island, which use to be a Federal Penitentiary off the coast of San Francisco. In this video, I give you an up close look at the layout of the island. I included clips that have labels that indicate certain areas of the island, and also labels on the mainland as well. The island was made famous when 3 prisoners, Frank Morris, John Anglin, and Clarence Anglin, escaped from the prison, which was also made into a movie in 1979, starring Clint Eastwood at Frank Morris. And another movie depicted inmate Franklin Stroud, the Birman Of Alcatraz.

Wikipedia:
Alcatraz Island (/ˈælkəˌtræz/) is a small island 1.25 miles (2.01 km) offshore from San Francisco, California, United States. The island was developed in the mid-19th century with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification, and a military prison. In 1934, the island was converted into a federal prison, Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary. The strong currents around the island and cold water temperatures made escape nearly impossible, and the prison became one of the most notorious in American history. The prison closed in 1963, and the island is now a major tourist attraction.
Beginning in November 1969, the island was occupied for more than 19 months by a group of Native Americans, initially primarily from San Francisco, who were later joined by AIM and other urban Indians from other parts of the country, who were part of a wave of Native American activists organizing public protests across the US through the 1970s. In 1972, Alcatraz was transferred to the Department of Interior to become part of Golden Gate National Recreation Area. It was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
Today, the island's facilities are managed by the National Park Service as part of Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Visitors can reach the island by ferry ride from Pier 33, located between the San Francisco Ferry Building and Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco. Hornblower Cruises, operating under the name Alcatraz Cruises, is the official ferry provider to and from the island.
Alcatraz Island is the site of the abandoned federal prison, the oldest operating lighthouse on the West Coast of the United States, early military fortifications, and natural features such as rock pools and a seabird colony (mostly western gulls, cormorants, and egrets). According to a 1971 documentary on the history of Alcatraz, the island measures 1,675 feet (511 m) by 590 feet (180 m) and is 135 feet (41 m) at highest point during mean tide. The total area of the island is reported to be 22 acres (8.9 ha).
Landmarks on the island include the Main Cellhouse, Dining Hall, Lighthouse, the ruins of the Warden's House and Social Hall, Parade Grounds, Building 64, Water Tower, New Industries Building, Model Industries Building, and the Recreation Yard.

David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium Fly Around
A simulation fly around of The University Of Kansas Jayhawks football facility, the "David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium". While creating this video, I discovered that most of this stadium has already been demolished back in November of 2023. The university has decided to either replace or renovate it.
Wikipedia:
David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium is a football stadium located in Lawrence, Kansas, on the campus of the University of Kansas. The stadium was opened in 1921, and is the seventh oldest college football stadium in the country, and is widely recognized as the oldest west of the Mississippi River. Nicknamed "The Booth", the stadium is dedicated as a memorial to Kansas students who died in World War I, and is one of seven major veterans' memorials on the campus. The stadium is at the center of all seven war memorials—adjacent to the stadium, further up the hill is a Korean War memorial honoring Kansas students who served, just a few hundred feet south of the stadium stands the University of Kansas World War II Memorial, the Kansas Memorial Campanile and Carillon, the University of Kansas Vietnam War Memorial sits adjacent to the Campanile to the west, the Victory Eagle – World War I statue located on Jayhawk Boulevard, southeast of the stadium, and the Kansas Memorial Union, a veterans' memorial that also houses the main university student union and bookstore, located east of the stadium. The stadium is the home stadium of the Kansas Jayhawks football team.
On December 20, 2017, KU Chancellor Douglas Girod announced that the stadium would be renamed in honor of KU alumnus and donor David G. Booth, who pledged a donation of $50 million to overhaul the facility.

Grand Canyon Skywalk Fly Around
This is a simulated fly around of the Grand Canyon Skywalk, located At Eagle Point near Meadview, Arizona in the United States. It is built off the side of the Grand Canyon wall, about 800 feet above the canyon floor below. Quite impressive!
Unfortunately when rendering this video, there were a few pixel glitches ( 0:08, 0:21 ) baked into the results.
Wikipedia:
The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a horseshoe-shaped cantilever bridge with a glass walkway at Eagle Point in Arizona near the Colorado River, on the edge of a side canyon in the Grand Canyon West area of the main canyon. It opened as a tourist attraction in 2007, located outside the boundaries of the Grand Canyon National Park.
USGS topographic maps indicate the Skywalk's elevation as 4,770 ft (1,450 m) above sea level. The elevation of the Colorado River at the base of the canyon below is 1,160 ft (350 m). The vertical drop directly below the skywalk is 500 to 800 feet (150 to 240 m). The attraction is immediately north of Grand Canyon West Airport and about 75 miles (121 km) east of Las Vegas, Nevada, although nearly 130 miles (210 km) by car. The nearest city with a population greater than 10,000 people is Kingman, Arizona, about 50 miles (80 km) south.
Commissioned and owned by the Hualapai Indian tribe, the skywalk was unveiled March 20, 2007, and opened to the general public on March 28, 2007. The attraction's operators have reported over one million visitors per year several times, first occurring in 2015.

Taipei 101 Fly Around - 11th Tallest Building In The World
This is a simulated fly around of Taipei 101 in Taipei, China, which was the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2009 at 1,670 feet. The first pass around the building is a "clean" flight, with no distractions. The 2nd pass around is features listings of all the other building, structures and businesses surrounding the colossal building.

Wikipedia:
Taipei 101 (Chinese: 台北101; pinyin: Táiběi 101; stylized in all caps), formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, is a skyscraper in Taipei, Taiwan. It is owned by Taipei Financial Center Corporation. The building was officially classified as the world's tallest from its opening on 31 December 2004 (in time to celebrate New Year's Eve). However, the Burj Khalifa surpassed Taipei 101 in 2009. Upon completion, it became the world's first skyscraper to exceed a height of half a kilometer (about 0.3 miles). As of 2023, Taipei 101 is the tallest building in Taiwan and the eleventh tallest building in the world.
The elevators of Taipei 101 that transport passengers from the 5th to the 89th floor in 37 seconds (attaining 60.6 km/h (37.7 mph)) set speed records. In 2011, Taipei 101 was awarded a Platinum certificate rating under the LEED certification system for energy efficiency and environmental design, becoming the tallest and largest green building in the world. The structure regularly appears as an icon of Taipei in international media, and the Taipei 101 fireworks displays are a regular feature of New Year's Eve broadcasts and celebrations.
Taipei 101's postmodernist architectural style evokes traditional Asian aesthetics in a modern structure employing industrial materials. Its design incorporates a number of features that enable the structure to withstand the Pacific Ring of Fire's earthquakes and the region's tropical storms. The tower houses offices, restaurants, shops, and indoor and outdoor observatories. The tower is adjoined by a multilevel shopping mall that has the world's largest ruyi symbol as an exterior feature.

Devils Tower Drone Fly Around
A simulated drone fly around of Devils Tower, the majestic National Monument in the state of Wyoming. Devils Tower was made famous world-wide when it appeared as the focal point in Steven Spielberg's epic science fiction movie "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" back in 1977. I personally have made a trip to see Devils Tower back 2006, and I was able to climb all the way up to the face of the wall that goes straight up. I is a beautiful sight to see from miles around, but especially when up close to it. If you have never made a trip to see Devils Tower, I would recommend it.
