In this video, Joe shows users how to enroll the Honeywell 5800CO Carbon Monoxide Sensor with a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus Security System. The 5800CO is only compatible with the 345 MHz version of the IQ Panel 2 Plus System. This is also sometimes referred to as the "legacy Honeywell and 2GIG" version.

The Honeywell 5800CO is a wireless carbon monoxide sensor that operates at 345 MHz. It is part of the Honeywell 5800 Series, and it was originally designed for the LYNX Touch and VISTA Series Panels. However, it can also be used with newer systems like the also support the 345 MHz frequency. These systems include the Resideo Lyric Controller and the IQ Panel 2 Plus with Legacy Honeywell and 2GIG Daughterboard.

Installing carbon monoxide sensors like the Honeywell 5800CO is very important. These are life-safety devices that can detect potentially lethal carbon monoxide gas. This gas is odorless and tasteless, and it kills hundreds of people every year. Using carbon monoxide sensors will help people be aware of these dangers before they experience any symptoms. This is especially important in colder areas where CO-related deaths are more common due to the use of heaters.

A great aspect of the Honeywell 5800CO is that it can be easily auto-enrolled with a security system. The IQ Panel 2 Plus 345 MHz is also no exception. All you have to do is enter programming and put the panel into its auto-enrollment mode for learning-in new sensors. Then power on the the 5800CO by inserting its batteries. You will need to open up its back cover to do this. The IQ Panel 2 Plus System should recognize the sensor and allow you to enroll it. You must then configure the zone settings and confirm.
