Coming Into Los Angeles (Arlo Guthrie, 1969). Live cover performance by Bill Sharkey, Home Studio, Hawaii Kai, HI. 2022-02-09. "Keeping the Oldies Alive"

"Coming Into Los Angeles" is a song written and recorded by Arlo Guthrie in 1969 and is found on his "Running Down the Road" album (Whitburn, 2006); it is also the "B" side of Arlo's "Alice's Rock & Roll Restaurant" edited single (rateyourmusic.com, 2022). Although "Comin' Into Los Angeles" never made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart, it is mostly remembered from Guthrie's performance of the song at the Woodstock Music and Art Fair in 1969, and it's subsequent inclusion in the film "Woodstock" (1970) (allmusic.com, 2022). Indeed, the song did not get much radio air play because of the topic, smuggling of drugs on an airplane (A. Edelstein, rutlandherald.com, Oct 6, 2018). Arlo is the son of folk singer Woody Guthrie (imdb.com, 2022).
