Virus 59 Gram Permanent Magnet Propelled Boat with Automatic 10 Second Swings

The 59 gram permanent magnet servo propelled boat is back with the Arduino Nano programmed to swing the magnet 45 degrees to each side at 10 second intervals.

So far my theory has been that because the boat turned by the magnet turns at a point not its center of mass there is centrifugal force that drives the boat along. But when I watch the boat go it seems to do most of its acceleration at each extreme of the swing.

This leads to what I like to call the "pipe banger" theory that much like the momentum of water in a pipe makes a noise when the valve is shut off quickly the momentum of the turning boat makes the boat push forward when the rotation is stopped at one particular place along the circle by the torque from the magnet interacting with Earth's magnetic field.
