permanent magnet and servo statorless motor hanging from a swivel

See if you get the point of what this is. The servo turns the magnet and the magnet then turns the armature as it turns to point north with Earth's magnetic poles. Magnets while very weak in attracting and repelling at distance are very powerful at rotating to align. The difference is a factor of three. Magnets attract and repel at the inverse cube of the distance separating them but the rotate with the force of just the inverse which represents a great deal of "power" even at distances of thousands of miles apart.

In fact if a magnet is rotated or oscillated it transmits a very low frequency radio wave that can cause another magnet to oscillate at a very great distance. This method is sometimes used in military applications such as communicating under water.

Stay tuned:)
