Adorable baby smiles in his sleep
Your heart will melt in a matter of seconds when you see this beautiful baby sleep, his mother fills him with kisses while he sleeps and he still asleep brings out an adorable smile that makes us fall in love. How adorable is this? it's too tender a scene, babies have that power to fill us with tenderness because of their beautiful appearance and because of how vulnerable they look they feel so small and innocent, this is very beautiful!
If there's one thing any parent will drool about, it's their child's smile, something that relaxes us and, in turn, makes us feel full of happiness. When this act performed by newborns manifests itself while they are sleeping, speculations do not take long to appear. Do babies dream? Do they have positive and/or negative thoughts during their rest? Why is this tender gesture drawn on their face? We tell you why babies smile while they sleep and how this smile evolves as they grow. Some common answers within the family are that 'he is dreaming of something beautiful', 'he dreams that he is still in the womb', 'he dreams of his guardian angel', 'he dreams of Papa God'. Within what is known as pediatric literature we can find references to terms such as 'first smile', 'dream smile', 'angel smile' or 'angelic smile'.
Indeed, the smile is a facial contraction that is formed from the movements of the muscles that surround the eyes and mouth to express a pleasant sensation. However, in newborns, this smile while sleeping is a reflex act, involuntary and without any express intention of communicating something or pleasing whoever is seeing it at that moment. It can appear in cycles of 60 -90 minutes after the baby has fallen asleep, the instant his body is relaxed, but there is intense activity in the central nervous system. It can even occur, since the last weeks inside the mother's womb, known as fetal smile (ultrasound scans or ultrasounds performed on pregnant women, from seven or eight months of gestation, confirm the presence of facial expressions of smile on the fetus). This activity is not conscious either, it is an automatic reflection of your muscles.
Scientific studies have determined that the human being begins to store memories in his memory since he is in the womb of the mother, so it is not unreasonable to think that these smiles, involuntary and without any intention, may be due to feelings of well-being lived in the womb of mom or in the present moment, such as feeling clean, satisfied in their diet and pleasant rest, so we must take them as an indicator that the baby feels well. What there is no doubt about is the happiness and pleasure that gives parents to see in their babies those first smiles, so this beautiful gesture should be enjoyed to the fullest.
