This started with pie filling... Well, the syrup from pie filling! Too delicious to toss and too sweet to eat by the spoonful.

So I poured a splash into a glass, topped it off with carbonated water, and voilà... homemade apple-blueberry soda! 🍎🫐✨

Now it’s a simple pleasure I look forward to after lunch or dinner. It’s pretty in the glass, light on sugar if you stretch it with more fizzy water, and just the right amount of sweet to feel like a treat.

Plus, it’s a better time for something sugary—after I’ve had some good protein, fat, and fiber. A gentle, refreshing finish to the meal. 🙂
