Please tell your Dad that I am 70 yrs old and my SS income is only $700/month. There are many of us! I was born and raised here in Maine. I stayed home and raised 3 Sons and didn't go to work until in my late 30's and it was as a waitress @ $2.35/ hr + tips and I worked until my cancer bout at 60 where I lost my nose to Squamous and nobody would hire me after that. Don, what can your Dad do to turn around the corruption at the Veterans Association? My brother has been mutilated by the V.A. and he's been waiting for months to get paperwork from him to get treatment to remove a stint in his cancerous kidney. They put the stint in October '23 and they didn't even tell him. It was supposed to be removed in three months, and they left it in for over a year. He didn't find out until October '24 that the stint was put in. This has caused damage to his kidney that causes him severe urinary frequency where he feels he has to urinate every 10 minutes but then nothing comes out. He hasn't slept for over 20 minutes at a time since October '23 and they have done nothing to help him. He's not alone, there are countless accounts of veterans that are put off for treatment for months and months until they simply die from lack of response. Something has to be done to protect our veterans from the evil system that preys on them as a means of stealing our tax dollars while they are doing more harm than good to millions of veterans. If you are a veteran reading this or you know a veteran that has been ignored or abused by the V.A. system, please post your comment so we can get something done to correct a bloated and crooked government that spends billions on promoting DEI and supporting terror groups while ignoring our brave veterans and leaving them to die waiting for the medical assistance they are entitled to. Other than his allegiance to Israel and Netanyahu, I really love what Trump is doing. Hopefully, if a deal is cut between Israel and the U.S. where the U.S. develops Gaza and we "own" it that we can actually own it and not give it to Israel.
