Dog Is Happy To See Snow In Summer

Winter is arguably the most wonderful time of the year, when pristine snow falls down and covers everything on the ground. If someone ever tells you they hate snow, don’t hang out with them anymore. How can someone not love snow? When the white stuff covers the ground, everything is so quiet and looks so clean. It lets us feel like we live somewhere else, even if it is for a short period of time.

Just like you can trust a dog that doesn’t like a person, you can surely trust them when you see them having incredible fun in the snow. For Aaron the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, snow is pretty easy to come by in his native Sweden. All he has to do is go for a hike in the mountains with his owner and he will find some. Even if it is in the middle of summer!

Just look at him go! It is a tiny patch of snow, almost frozen solid, but Aaron is so happy to once again touch the stuff with his bare paws, that he would not stop doing the zoomies no matter what! At one point he even gyrates around himself, clearly excited beyond compare, not even stopping to catch his breath. Would you take a look at that smile? He looks so happy, even if it is for such a short while.

We think it is utterly hilarious that a Staffie would go nuts over snow. A Husky, sure, but a Staffie?

Speaking of Huskies going nuts over snow, you just have to see what our favorite polar dog did when he saw some of the powder and in the middle of summer too. The pooch was out vacationing in the Adirondacks in July when they passed near the Olympic Center. What they found was actually ice shavings that the Zamboni dumps after clearing the skating rink, but Zeus the Stubborn Husky went ballistic over it! He jumps up and down that pile, diving nose first into it, zooming and jumping all around. Holy smokes, it is like little patch of heaven for silly old Zeus!

At one point he even calls up his brother to join him, but then quickly decides he wouldn’t want to share this glorious island of Eden, so he just dives right in once again.

Another Husky found a bigger patch of snow in the middle of summer, but to our own surprise, she was not all to eager to stay. It seems it was Tundra’s first time seeing the stuff and her polar dog instinct has not kicked in yet. As soon as her owner asks her to go, she just follows up. She’ll get into it eventually.

Of course, we must not forget the dog that thought his owner shoveling snow were actually balls that needed fetching! One winter-loving Labrador had the time of his life when he spotted snowballs flying through the air. As the man was tossing the semi-frozen powder over the railing it would break up into chunks as big as a tennis ball, a perfect pastime for a snowball-loving pooch! A type of Pokemon, if you will. Gotta catch them all!
