Relatives and friends have been grieving the death of an 11-year-old boy in the West Bank, who was shot dead by Israeli forces. The Palestinian Health Ministry said the child had been throwing stones at a bulletproof car, when the IDF opened fire. Three days before that, another 11-year-old boy was critically injured in the head by Israeli troops. UN statistics shows 165 children have been killed in the West Bank through the course of the past year.

Tensions have escalated in the West Bank, with Israeli settlers harassing and attacking Palestinians in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah. RT Middle East Bureau Chief Maria Finoshina reports from the ground.
