You develop a strange vocabulary when you have been exposed to as many different cultures as I have. Those close to me refer to my weirdo vernacular as "Bluisms." Being trusted with another woman's children is a tremendous responsibility. One I did not take lightly. I am still their weirdo white mom and they are still, in their early forties, the light of my life.
