Here in NW Montana we already have an underground barter economy, and over the last decade we have established extensive radio communications county wide, including the license free radio services, and with each year during the last decade, we've had record numbers of new Amateur Radio licensees each year. We have 3 generations of survivalists that contributed to the culture that is here. The best first move is to move to where there are like minded folks. Huge banners declaring support for Trump are drapped over fences everywhere. We also have an excess of hydro electric power than can be 'islanded' within minutes of a grid down situation, and provide inexpensive and unlimited power to this part of the country. And the list of advantages continues... For the highly motivated, there is still time to make the jump and prepare.

I appreciate this conversation very much. Perhaps a new form of mentorship will emerge for young men and it is needed. I have been part of boy scouts for the last 9 years. My 15 year old son is working on his Eagle project this year. This platform still offers the ability to get boys outside, camping, making life long friends, and learning survival skills. On a troop level, we continue this training despite national changes. We were shooting shotguns last weekend. A lot of these boys do go to trade schools and become firemen, so the connections remain. I just need to share some positives!
