Two Upper Peninsula Communities are receiving some major funding to help upgrade water and sewer.
Through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) over $2.5 Million in loans and grant money is being given to the Village of Baraga in Baraga County and the City of Wakefield in Gogebic County.
The projects are being funded through the Water and Waste Disposal Laon and Grant Program.
The USDA says the funding enables rural communities to expand access to clean and reliable drinking water, sanitary waste disposal, and stormwater drainage.
