Bridesmaid Gets Surprise Proposal At Friend's Wedding

But every once in a while, we get to see what happens when a couple takes part in someone’s wedding, most often when both newlyweds are their close friends. They have watched the couple go through highs and lows, sweet and bitter and would like nothing more than to see their friends happily married. Time for an intervention!

At a wedding in St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania, a couple of newlyweds decided to take matters in their own hands, when they discovered that a friend, who was one of the groomsmen, wanted to propose to his girlfriend, invited at the wedding as a bridesmaid. First the groom gets to toss the bride’s garter and he casually tosses it in his friend’s direction. Next comes the bridal bouquet, with the bride teasing the girls in waiting. She pretends she is about to toss it, but in the last minute she just delivers the bouquet to one of the bridesmaids.

Screams and cheers all over, as the bride pushes a chair forward for the lucky girl to sit on, as her boyfriend puts the garter on his girlfriend. It seems to be a silly tradition of some sort, but that is way beside the point. The point is that the girl has no idea that he beau will produce an engagement ring from his pocket, stunning everyone watching.

Now, this is a cute thing to do if the people who are actually having a wedding allow you to. By no means should you make their wedding about your own future plan. Don’t be a douche.
