Fredric Wertham is known as the man behind both Brown v. Board of Education and the Comics Code Authority. In reality, he was a soft racist who engaged in fraudulent pseudoscience for the sake of his own rhetoric.

  • The fact that Sen. McCarthy supported Wertham speaks volumes about the former. The Comics Code Authority was a massive kick in the nuts to the comic book industry. If Carl Barks and Walt Kelly were still alive today, they would have a lot to say about it.
