World ‘thirsts’ for US ‘leadership’ – Blinken

The US Secretary of State is confused why all the nice countries go for bad leaders who ride motorcycles when they could have a nice leader like the United States. After all, the US is fairly well off and respects countries, and maybe if it does nice things like buying the things other countries want and listening to their problems, then maybe Ukraine will simply be willing to settle.

In fact, the other countries want a nice country like America. They are, as Blinken points out, ‘thirsty’ and are just in desperate need of a good democratizing. Of course, if America doesn’t do it, someone else will, someone else will come in and not treat them right.

Fine then, if the other countries won’t go out with America, then they’ll just be on their own, not going out with anyone, and spend their lives lonely and full of cats. Why won’t they just go out with the US?
