For us, adults, riding through the car wash can be a somewhat pleasant experience; the whooshing sound of the water, the droplets hitting on the roof, it gives us a moment of serenity. If only there was no cell phone reception in there as well...pure bliss!

But there are those who simply do not understand what is going on, so that cocktail of sounds can be quite unpleasant, disturbing even! Just take a look at this pooch!

Nala doesn’t understand what is happening and where she is, so the constant whooshing, the brushes slapping the car all around and the flickering lights probably scare her out of her wits, the poor thing. Sitting on the back seat, she hides on the car floor, but still pokes her muzzle through her owner’s hand, just to see what all that hell will come to an end!

Kids are equally scared of car washes, but luckily they usually have an older sibling to calm them down, or at least try! When Youtuber/comedian Alyssa Price filmed her two children - Declan, age four and Raleigh, age one, as big brother comforted baby sister while they were passing through the automatic car wash. Alyssa says that she hadn’t realized up to that point that the girl has never been awake at the car wash before and all that swooshing and sounds made her cry. Thankfully big bro was there to try and keep her occupied.
