Ollie & I Pheasant Hunting

I have been pheasant hunting with my good friend Dean Ehlers for several years now, his pup Emmy had an operation on her leg this summer and has been out of commission for this 2023 pheasant hunting season until possibly after her next vet appointment on December 11, so I took the opportunity to work with my pup Ollie. Ollie is a 2.5 year old dachshund pup who loves the outdoors, we have been out five times this year about two hours each time and have only had the opportunity to flush one bird and that bird came out on the opposite side of an island in the field so I never got off a shot. Ollie seems to understand, and know what he is looking for, in this video he finds two dead pheasants; luck has just not been on our side.
