A lot has changed since Link's first outing in Hyrule. This a side scroller that is heavy on combat. It also has magic system, limited lives, and experience points. Lots of fans have thrown their hat in the ring, giving their opinions. Today, I do the same.

And I can't believe, after around 75 streams and videos. This one actually looks good! Video quality wise. Listen, Zelda II has a lot of issues. And I'm racking my brain on what I would do to make it better. But it really, really isn't that bad.

I decided earlier that I was going to beat Zelda II that night, regardless of how long it would take. This is the first hour of a 4 1/2 hour stream! Hyrule is a little bigger than I thought it would be in Zelda II. I really need a map. Plus, any sort of sword upgrade is sorely needed.

It was 2:30 in the morning when we figured out Thunderbird and marched towards Dark Link. Thank you so much for your support while I streamed Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. For the first time ever, I gave this game a serious chance. It needs items. It needs a map system in Palaces. Palaces need to be designed better (Why do they all go down at the beginning of each palace? Why couldn't there be a "Palace in the Sky" or something where we go up?) But Zelda II is daring and bold. "Let's try a leveling system. Let's try a magic system. Let's try something different with combat. Let's actually have towns and not random old people in caves!" If I had to put Zelda NES games on a Bell Curve, I would put Zelda I above average, but not by much. But Zelda II would be below average, but not by much.
