As part of my ongoing investigative series "Who Killed Bobby Kennedy?" marking the 55th anniversary of Sirhan's murder trial, I recently spoke to #JFK/#RFK assassination historian James DiEugenio about the evidence in the case, which Jim believes points to a #conspiracy. I disagree with my friend Jim on this case, arguing that the jury reached the correct verdict in April 1969 when they unanimously decided that Sirhan Sirhan was guilty of first degree murder for the killing of Senator Robert F. #Kennedy and the attempted murder of five other innocent bystanders at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on June 5, 1968. Sirhan's lead defense attorney Grant Cooper said in his final argument at the trial that he felt #Sirhan should spend the rest of his days in the penitentiary, asserting that "American public opinion will see to it that the assassin is never released." Sirhan's lawyer said the only circumstances in which he could foresee Sirhan's release would be if the United States were to "trade" him for some American in captivity in an Arab state. In this friendly debate between two longtime historians of the case with differing views, Jim DiEugenio brings the case for Sirhan's defense. I argue for the prosecution. We also discussed how the first degree murder verdict was in a bizarre way a victory for Sirhan. The former racetrack exercise boy has denied all along that he was seriously ill mentally and told psychiatrists he wanted to be a hero in the eyes of the Arab world, a martyr for #Palestine. The official motive for Sirhan's killing of RFK was "anti-#Zionism." Sirhan was angered by Kennedy's support for #Israel, and his Senate vote to send military aid to the country. In an opinion article published by The New York Post Thursday, Douglas Murray wrote: “This one is for the morons. For the students busily cosplaying at being terrorists on our city’s campuses. The automatons whose new radical-chic uniform is an Arab keffiyeh. Specifically to the ones who have decided to chant for “Intifada” and unveil a vast banner down the side of Hamilton Hall at #Columbia this week. “Intifada,” the banner said, in huge letters as the mob below shrieked approval. Most of these students weren’t born when the Palestinians last had an “Intifada.” Murray’s article went on to describe just a few of the terror attacks upon #Israel that happened during the second #Intifada, in a desperate attempt to give America’s youth a quick education in recent history that they’re not old enough to have any firsthand memory of, and that obviously wasn’t taught to them at their Ivy League schools. But will the message reach them? Will facts convince them at this point? The trial of Sirhan Sirhan for the murder of Robert F. #Kennedy concluded 55 years ago this week after four months of courtroom drama. The jury found Sirhan guilty of first degree murder for the assassination of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, and attempted murder of five other innocent bystanders wounded by his barrage of bullets at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. The seven men and five women, who deliberated 16 hours and 42 minutes before reaching their verdict, found the young Palestinian was mentally capable of mature premeditation before shooting down the senator on June 5, 1968. As the verdict was announced Sirhan, who had been nervously chewing at his fingers, stared straight ahead and showed no emotion. After a one-day recess, the same jurors heard arguments as to whether Sirhan's fate should be life in prison or a sentence to the gas chamber at San Quentin. The penalty phase lasted only a few days in contrast to the 15-week trial. The prosecution did not seek the death penalty but told the jurors either sentence would be just. The jury's ultimate unanimous verdict was death in the gas chamber for Sirhan. (The sentence was commuted to life in prison a few years later when California abolished the death penalty.) As the Führer hid in his bunker and prepared for his suicide, he penned his last political will and testament. Adolf Hitler's last written words were a plea to the world to continue to “resist mercilessly the poisoner of all nations, international Jewry,” a plea most thoroughly and systematically heeded by the Islamic Jihadists and one of their primary movements,Ḥarakat al-Muqāwamah al-ʾIslāmiyyah, the Islamic Resistance Movement known as #Hamas. To fully grasp the ideology that drives Hamas and the Palestinian liberation movement today, one must first understand the history that gave rise to it -- and specifically, Nazi collaborator Haj Amin al-Husseini, the tie that binds #Hitler to Hamas. Haj Amin al-Husseini came to power through a British act of appeasement after he had been tried in absentia and found guilty of inciting riots in #Palestine in 1920; the riots arose in response to the first proposal for a two-state solution outlined by the Faisal-Weizmann Agreement of January 1919. Attempting to calm the Arab population, British mandate governor Herbert Samuel appointed him Mufti of Jerusalem on 8 May 1921. Among the newly appointed Mufti’s first actions was a declaration of #jihad against the British and the #Jews. In March 1933 he paid his first official visit to the new Nazi German General Consul Heinrich Wolff in Jerusalem. Once again wanted by the British for inciting the Arab Revolt of 1936 – 1939, al-Husseini fled Palestine for #Iraq. After inciting an overthrow of the Iraqi government and murderous pogroms that resulted in the slaughter of hundreds of Jews, the Mufti found safe harbor in Berlin, where he was handsomely rewarded by the #Nazis with money, a lavish lifestyle, and armed guards. He was employed by Nazi Germany making propaganda radio broadcasts for the Arab world. The largest of the Mufti’s Muslim killing units was the infamous 13thHandschar Division of 21,065 men. As a result of his murderous actions in service to the Nazis, al-Husseini was charged with war crimes -- yet, he managed to evade prosecution at #Nuremberg and flee, aided by British intelligence. In June 1946 he turned up in Cairo, where, as noted above, the Muslim Brotherhood gave him a hero’s welcome. That same year the Mufti took in his second cousin Yasser #Arafat as his protégé; he brought in a former Nazi commando officer to teach Arafat “the fine points of guerilla warfare.” Some scholars argue that “al-Husseini was himself most likely the true founder of the al-Fatah,… Arafat’s terror cell… the nucleus of the #PLO.” This thread relies on OSS and CIA documents declassified 50 years after #WWII under the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act of 1998, tracing the Grand Mufti's activities after the war -- which included terrorist bombings, the assassination of a King, and the funding of terror groups. https://twitter.com/RealLoriSpencer/status/1731187027343753634?s=20 Hamas emerged immediately after the outbreak of the Palestinians’ First Intifada against Israel as a militant Palestinian wing of the Muslim Brotherhood on 9 December 1987. The Movement was founded by Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and his comrades Dr. Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi and Mahmoud al-Zahar. Yassin grew up in awe of Haj Amin al-Husseini. He joined the Muslim Brotherhood in 1957 and in 1973 established the Islamic Congress in #Gaza to expand the influence of the Brotherhood; in 1978 he was among the founders of the Islamic University of #Gaza in #Palestine. Yassin and his cohorts embraced the Nazis’ fundamental view that the #Jews are “the dirtiest and meanest of all races, defiling the most sanctified and honored spot on earth,” making “no distinctions between Jews, Zionists, and Israelis.” As in all ideologies driven by Jew hatred, from Hitler to Hamas, where the Jew is the enemy, #Judaism is the enemy. Nazi ideology is alive and well today in parts of the Arab world, and especially in Gaza, where Hamas rules (for now). Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is pushing back on the latest attempt by former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants to disqualify her entire office from prosecuting the election subversion case in Georgia, according to a new court filing Monday. Willis asked the Georgia Court of Appeals to uphold Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee’s initial ruling that allowed her to remain on the criminal case if her top prosecutor, Nathan Wade, resigned. Wade resigned within hours of McAfee’s ruling last month. The appeals court is weighing a request from #Trump and several others charged in #Georgia to review and overturn McAfee’s earlier decision. Willis argued on Monday that the appeals court should deny that request. In Monday’s filing, the Fulton County district attorney’s office insisted again that there was no conflict of interest and said that Willis’ comments about race playing a role in criticism of her office did not rise to misconduct requiring disqualification. While Willis has attempted to shift attention back to the criminal case itself after the detour over ethics allegations for more than two months, Trump and his co-defendants are still arguing the romantic relationship between Willis and Wade created a conflict of interest. “At a minimum, DA Willis and her office should have been disqualified from prosecuting the case,” Trump’s lead Georgia-based attorney Steve Sadow wrote when he asked the appeals court to take up his case. “The Georgia Court of Appeals should grant the application and accept the interlocutory appeal for consideration on the merits.” It is now up to the Georgia Court of Appeals to decide if they want to review the decision not to disqualify Willis and her office. This appeal doesn’t pause the prosecution, which continues to play out before trial. #Russia's top security agency said Monday it has broken up what it called a "terrorist cell"in southern Russiawhose members had provided weapons and cash to suspected attackers of the #Moscow #Crocus concert hall. The Federal Security Service, or #FSB, said that on Sunday it detained four suspected members of the cell in the Russian province of Dagestan in the North Caucasus. The agency alleged that the suspects detained in Dagestan were involved in channeling funds and providing weapons to the gunmen who attacked the concert hall on Moscow's western edge on March 22, killing 144 people in the deadliest attack on Russian soil in two decades. The agency said the suspects are foreign nationals, without specifying their nationality. The suspected attackers of the Moscow concert hall arrested hours after the March 22 raid are citizens of the Central Asian nation of Tajikistan. The detention of four suspects in #Dagestan follows the arrest of the four suspected gunmen and seven others who were accused of involvement in the attack. An affiliate of the Islamic State (#ISIS) group claimed responsibility for the attack.President Vladimir #Putinacknowledged that "radical Islamists" conducted the raid, but alleged - without providing evidence - that #Ukraine and the West were involved, despite Kyiv's vehement denials. On Easter Sunday, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin #Netanyahu was under full anesthesia for hernia surgery, and the reins of power were temporarily in the hands of his deputy, tens of thousands of protesters surrounded the #Knesset in #Jerusalem demanding an election now. Rumors began to spread online that Netanyahu had died from complications during surgery (and many #Israel-haters openly celebrated). Even if the Prime Minister makes a full recovery there can be no doubt that Netanyahu is facing a major crisis that hampers the stability of his country, his ability to govern, and to win the war against #Hamas. The #Biden administration's recent pivot on #Gaza, and Sen. Charles Schumer's recent call for elections -- an effective regime change in Israel -- signal that the tide is turning (at least with #Democrats) against our longtime ally in the Middle East. Remember when Chuck #Schumer told CBS News that if you piss off the CIA "they have six ways from Sunday of getting back at you?" Netanyahu’s about to get regime changed. It looks like a color revolution is brewing in Israel. On Sunday, demonstrators in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in front of the Knesset opened tents and announced that they would not leave until the government fell. They set fires in the streets and spoke of plans to storm the Knesset and topple the government. Is #Biden planning another Maidan-style coup like he did in #Ukraine a decade ago? And isn’t it interesting timing that Netanyahu suddenly is told he has to have “emergency surgery” Sunday morning, and must hand over power to his deputy while under full anesthesia? Candace Owens was reportedly let go from The Daily Wire in part because of a controversial interview she recently conducted with Rabbi Michael Barclay about #antisemitism. The original, full-length, unedited interview with Rabbi Barclay has now been removed from Candace Owens' official YouTube and Rumble channels. A response video posted by Candace Owens the following day, which contains cherry-picked excerpts from the Rabbi Barclay interview is the only version still available on her official channels. Owens memory-holed the original interview with Rabbi Barclay -- essentially silencing him; and instead only allowing parts of the interview to be seen by the public (the parts of the debate most favorable to Candace, of course, and least favorable to the Rabbi). Immediately after the interview aired, Rabbi Barclay and his Los Angeles area synagogue were flooded with hateful communications and death threats, causing them to increase security and request help from local law enforcement. On Thursday, Ben Shapiro denied thatOwens parted ways with the Daily Wire because of “disagreements over #Israel” — though he hinted that her comments veered outside of the company’s “Overton window.” Shapiro, who co-founded the Daily Wire alongside Jeremy Boreing, cited “a lot of other factors … at play” that led to the departure of the conservative commentator last week. Today is Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday and #MLKDay in the United States. Each year, American #Jews, like all Americans, mark #MLK Day by remembering him as a powerful voice against racism and for civil rights. But, for Jews, Dr. King was also something else: a uniquely important ally in the fight against #antisemitism and for a secure #Israel. Today, Dr. King’s close bond with the Jewish community is treated only as a small footnote of his life and work. But, toward the end of his life, Dr. King devoted significant time and energy to strengthening what were becoming increasingly strained ties between Black Americans and U.S. Jews. One issue Dr. King was particularly concerned with was the growing mischaracterization of #Zionism as #racism. Dr. King spoke and wrote often about Israel. However, the true depth of Dr. King’s commitment to Israel was readily apparent in a September, 1967 letter he sent to Adolph Held, then president of the organization I now lead, the #Jewish Labor Committee. Dr. King wrote Held after the Jewish leader contacted him regarding press accounts of a conference that Dr. King’s Southern Christian Leadership Conference participated in. At the meeting, strongly worded resolutions blasting Zionism and embracing the position of the Arab powers had been considered. Understanding Held’s worries, Dr. King explained that, beyond offering opening remarks, he had no part in the conference. But, Dr. King said, had he been present during the discussion of the resolutions “I would have made it crystal clear that I could not have supported any resolution calling for Black separatism or calling for a condemnation of Israel and an unqualified endorsement of the policy of the Arab powers.” “Israel’s right to exist as a state is incontestable,” Dr. King wrote. He then added, almost prophetically, “At the same time the great powers have the obligation to recognize that the Arab world is in a state of imposed poverty and backwardness that must threaten peace and harmony.” Referring to the stake U.S. oil companies have in the Middle East, Dr. King went on to note that “some Arab feudal rulers are no less concerned for oil wealth and neglect the plight of their own peoples. The solution will have to be found in statesmanship by Israel and progressive Arab forces who in concert with the great powers recognize fair and peaceful solutions are the concern of all humanity and must be found.” Were Dr. King’s comments to Held intended only to soothe a miffed supporter? Hardly. In a March 25, 1968, speech to the Rabbinical Assembly, Dr. King said: “peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all our might to protect its right to exist, its territorial integrity. I see Israel as one of the great outposts of democracy in the world, and a marvelous example of what can be done, how desert land can be transformed into an oasis of brotherhood and democracy. Peace for Israel means security and that security must be a reality.” Ten days later, on April 4, Dr. King was murdered while organizing support for striking sanitation workers in Memphis, TN. His last written words were a plea to the world to continue to “resist mercilessly the poisoner of all nations, international Jewry,” a plea most thoroughly and systematically heeded by the Islamic Jihadists and one of their primary movements, Ḥarakat al-Muqāwamah al-ʾIslāmiyyah, the Islamic Resistance Movement known as Hamas. To fully grasp the ideology that drives Hamas and the Palestinian liberation movement today, one must first understand the history that gave rise to it -- and specifically, Nazi collaborator Haj Amin al-Husseini, the tie that binds Hitler to Hamas. Haj Amin al-Husseini came to power through a British act of appeasement after he had been tried in absentia and found guilty of inciting riots in #Palestine in 1920; the riots arose in response to the first proposal for a two-state solution outlined by the Faisal-Weizmann Agreement of January 1919. Attempting to calm the Arab population, British mandate governor Herbert Samuel appointed him Mufti of Jerusalem on 8 May 1921. Among the newly appointed Mufti’s first actions was a declaration of #jihad against the British and the #Jews. In March 1933 he paid his first official visit to the new Nazi German General Consul Heinrich Wolff in Jerusalem. Once again wanted by the British for inciting the Arab Revolt of 1936 – 1939, al-Husseini fled Palestine for #Iraq. After inciting an overthrow of the Iraqi government and murderous pogroms that resulted in the slaughter of hundreds of Jews, the Mufti found safe harbor in Berlin, where he was handsomely rewarded by the #Nazis with money, a lavish lifestyle, and armed guards. He was employed by Nazi Germany making propaganda radio broadcasts for the Arab world. As early as January 1941 al-Husseini was recruiting Bosnian Muslims to serve in the Waffen SS and in SS killing units. The largest of the Mufti’s Muslim killing units was the infamous 13th Handschar Division of 21,065 men. As a result of his murderous actions in service to the Nazis, al-Husseini was charged with war crimes -- yet, he managed to evade prosecution at #Nuremberg and flee, aided by British intelligence. In June 1946 he turned up in Cairo, where, as noted above, the Muslim Brotherhood gave him a hero’s welcome. That same year the Mufti took in his second cousin Yasser #Arafat as his protégé; he brought in a former Nazi commando officer to teach Arafat “the fine points of guerilla warfare.” Some scholars argue that “al-Husseini was himself most likely the true founder of the al-Fatah,… Arafat’s terror cell,… the nucleus of the PLO.” (currently the ruling authority in the West Bank.) Hamas emerged immediately after the outbreak of the Palestinians’ First Intifada against Israel as a militant Palestinian wing of the Muslim Brotherhood on 9 December 1987. The Movement was founded by Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and his comrades Dr. Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi and Mahmoud al-Zahar. Yassin grew up in awe of Haj Amin al-Husseini. He joined the Muslim Brotherhood in 1957 and in 1973 established the Islamic Congress in #Gaza to expand the influence of the Brotherhood; in 1978 he was among the founders of the Islamic University of Gaza. Yassin and his cohorts embraced the Nazis’ fundamental view that the Jews are “the dirtiest and meanest of all races, defiling the most sanctified and honored spot on earth,” making “no distinctions between Jews, Zionists, and Israelis.” As in all ideologies driven by Jew hatred, from Hitler to Hamas, where the Jew is the enemy, #Judaism is the enemy. Nazi ideology is alive and well today in parts of the Arab world, and especially in Gaza, where Hamas rules (for now). There’s nothing democratic about the Democratic Party, and our guest tonight knows that from first-hand experience. On Episode 17 of "Strange Bedfellows" we spoke to Elizabeth Lee Beck, the attorney who sued the Democratic National Committee in 2016 in a class-action lawsuit alleging that the #DNC defrauded individual #Bernie Sanders supporters by rigging the primaries for Hillary #Clinton. (The case was dismissed in 2017.) In addition to the #DNCFraud lawsuit, Beck has also sued former President Donald #Trump twice (in 2011 and 2015) and questioned Trump in court depositions. We will ask her thoughts on Trump’s current legal battles. Earlier this year, Beck sued Twitter (now X) for breach of contract over the suspension of her account and that of her husband, attorney Jared Beck, four years ago. When Elon Musk bought Twitter last year, he pledged to restore all previously banned accounts that hadn’t violated Twitter’s Terms of Service. When the Becks’ accounts were not restored as promised, they took Elon to court. In their complaint, the Becks assert that they were suspended for “engaging in political speech antagonistic to the establishment Democratic Party interests.” We will get the latest from Elizabeth Beck on where that lawsuit currently stands, and discuss the future of #FreeSpeech on X and other social media platforms as the 2024 election season heats up. In this compelling highlight from Episode 15 of "Strange Bedfellows," I asked Caleb Maupin his thoughts on the #NaziGate scandal that has rocked #Canada (and the world) this week. Last Friday, the Canadian Parliament gave not one, but two standing ovations to a man named Yaroslav Hunka and honored him for his service in #WWII "fighting against the Russians." Only later did it apparently occur to all 338 members of Parliament that the #Nazis fought the Russians in the Second World War. Since then, more information has emerged -- including Hunka's own published memoir -- proving that #Hunka was a member of the notorious Waffen-SS, Galicia Division. The unit was known to have committed some of the most horrific atrocities of the #Holocaust. By definition, Yaroslav Hunka is a war criminal. So, what's he doing in Canada, eh? We discuss that, and other troubling signs of rising #fascism in the Great White North, including the "Save The Children Convoy" which is rolling across Canada as we speak. In a video that emerged from the #Convoy this week, a participant can be heard screaming about the #genocide of the #Holodomor, encouraging violence against the "#communists who will put us all into slavery." The Holodomor was a 1932 famine in Soviet #Ukraine that many historians say was deliberately caused by Joseph #Stalin to starve the Ukrainian people. But it remains a topic of hot debate and controversy among historians even today -- except in Canada, where the powerful Ukrainian nationalist lobby has forbidden critical discussion of the Holodomor. Caleb and I dig into the real history of the Holodomor here: was it Nazi propaganda? An anti-#communist hoax? A big lie? The Holodomor is often used today by Ukrainian nationalists to justify our current involvement in the war with #Russia. Caleb Maupin gives us the other side of the Holodomor narrative - the communist perspective -- as an author, communist historian, and journalist for RT television (Russia). There are indeed two sides to every story. We will hear them both on this episode of "Strange Bedfellows." In this excerpt from Episode 15 of "Strange Bedfellows," I talked to Caleb Maupin: author, reporter for RT television (#Russia), #communist historian, political activist, and founder of the Center for Political Innovation (CPI). We go back in time to revisit the Red Scare of the 1950's, Sen. Joseph McCarthy's witch hunts, the CIA's MK-ULTRA mind control program, and anti-communist brainwashing; how we did it, and most importantly, WHY we did it. Using propaganda and brainwashing techniques we learned from Nazi scientists who were imported into the United States after World War Two, the U.S. and our Western allies joined with the #Nazis in their long crusade against #communism. Tonight at 9 P.M. Eastern on "Strange Bedfellows" we discuss the Death of Broadcast News on Episode 14 and take a look back at some of the legends who personified excellence. This week, my Maverick News co-host Rick Walker and I are taking a break from current events and instead looking back in time at some of the pioneers of broadcast journalism. Watching them in our formative years taught us everything we know. (And there is still much they can teach journalists today.) It will be 40 years next month since the tragic death of NBC News anchorwoman Jessica Savitch. Savitch died in an automobile accident at the height of her career in October, 1983. (As an aspiring young journalist Jessica was my hero.) We will show you some highlights from her life, and talk about how Savitch struggled against the male-dominated newsroom culture of the 1970s and 1980s. We'll discuss why Savitch still fascinates, even 40 years later. We will also pay tribute to TV news legend David Brinkley on the 20th anniversary of his passing, look back at his best moments from the dawn of television news in the late 1940s through the "Huntley-Brinkley Report" of the 1950s and 60s, and his remarkable career at NBC and later, ABC News. We will show you why David Brinkley was the gold standard of broadcast news -- a standard so high, it can probably never be matched. Brinkley and Savitch were (and still are) my two greatest influences in journalism. We will tip our hats to both of these giants on this special edition of “Strange Bedfellows” Saturday night, and talk about the impact they had on our own long careers in broadcast news. Walter Cronkite, Roger Mudd, Frank McGee, Hugh Downs, Chet Huntley, Barbara Walters, Frank Reynolds and more appear in this exploration of “old school” journalism. We will discuss why the mainstream media lost the public’s trust, and most importantly, how to get it back. Rick and I spent 35 years in the corporate news media. We worked in this industry at a time when news reporting was still objective and unbiased, before the Fairness Doctrine was abolished by President Ronald #Reagan in the 1980s. omething pretty significant happened at Robert F. #Kennedy, Jr.'s Hispanic Heritage Month event in Los Angeles last Friday, but it's not what you heard about in the media. Naturally, all eyes were focused on the bizarre incident prior to his speech -- a heavily-armed man claiming to be a security guard (44 year-old Adrian Paul Aispuro) was arrested for carrying several weapons on him, including three guns and several knives. Yet, the thing the media and most importantly, the voters, ought to be paying attention to is not what occurred before the speech, but what Kennedy said in his speech that night. Towards the end of his hourlong address, #RFKJr went off script and just started speaking from the heart -- perhaps a release of his own pent-up feelings after surviving a potential assassination attempt shortly before taking the stage. I've heard Bobby Kennedy give hundreds of speeches over the last 20 years (and there have been many great ones) but these extemporaneous remarks in Los Angeles last week were so powerful, I want to amplify these words to ensure they are not overlooked or forgotten. It's unfortunate this speech was overshadowed by the events of such a strange day. Please take a few minutes to watch. On Episode 5 of the Strange Bedfellows podcast, we hosted a debate between a #Kennedy Democrat and a Trumplican -- Paul Davies, aka "the MEGA #MAGA MAN," local chair of his #Oklahoma precinct for the #Republican party -- right here in the heart of #Trump country. I represented #TeamKennedy (I'm a longtime supporter of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.), and Paul stood for his man, former President Donald J. Trump. Of course, this was a friendly debate. Paul has been one of my dearest, most beloved friends for more than 40 years. On Episode 6 of Strange Bedfellows, I spoke to Russell Bentley, a Texas-born former American soldier now living in (and fighting for) Russia. We talked about the history of Ukrainian nationalism, predating the alliance with Nazi Germany. Long before Nazi Germany even existed; before Nazism had a name, or a political party, it had a distinct ideology -- a kind of genocidal racism and rabid anti-#communism that fueled the pogroms against Jews and #communists in #Ukraine after World War One and the #Bolshevik revolution. The Ukrainian nationalists were the O.G. #Nazis. The original gangsters. As their ideological and biological descendants continue this hundred-year war against their former Soviet neighbors, Bentley says that many of his fellow #Donbass soldiers defending themselves from the #NazisInUkraine don't trust the Russian government anymore, either. Being a #communist himself, Bentley views modern day capitalist Russia as a country ruled by oligarchs and war profiteers who are making billions off the prolonged military operation. Bentley told me that "the greatest danger to #Russia's hopes for victory in this war against 21st Century #fascism is "the parasites and collaborators in Moscow. They are the enemies of the future of humanity." As he sees it, "this is a war between the billionaire classes and the rest of us." (This is an excerpt of our 2-hour interview.
