UBC inaugurates new board - Gov’t urged to boost public broadcaster for effective service delivery

The outgoing Board of Uganda Broadcasting Corporation- UBC has challenged Government to put more emphasis on tackling challenges facing UBC, especially insufficient funding.
During the handover ceremony, Richard Barungi, one of the longest serving board members, noted that, unlike private media houses, the nature of UBC doesn't position it to fight for commercial advertisements.
The handover was presided over by State Minister for ICT, Joyce Ssebugwawo.
