****একটি বিশ্বাস আছে যে মনসা মানুষকে সাপের কামড় থেকে রক্ষা করে। সাপের কামড় প্রতিরোধ ও নিরাময়ের জন্য এবং উর্বরতা ও ঐশ্বর্যের জন্য সর্পদের পৌরাণিক দেবতা মনসাকে পূজা করা হয়। পুরাণে, মনসাকে নাগাদের রাজা বাসুকির বোন হিসেবে দেখানো হয়েছে।
