Pets are love and pets are life. Whether you like them or not, you can’t deny the fact that they put some rainbow sprinkles on your day, figuratively speaking. All pets are wonderful, but if there is one species that is able to turn up the party, then it’s definitely our canine friends.

Dogs are absolutely amazing. They remind us of smaller and hairier versions of humans that love nothing more than to have fun. It seems like we can never get enough of the puppy awesomeness. They keep us at our toes with their antics and melt us into puddles of mush when they turn on their charm. They are like our furry offspring that likes to wake us up early in the morning to go potty but we don’t mind because they are adorable.

We all think that our dogs are just happy all the time, but with this sweet Labrador, you know when he's happy when you see his stunning smile!

When mom asks Bill the Labrador to smile, he is all too happy to oblige. Just look at that yearbook-worthy smile! Look at that face, so blissfully happy to be around people who love him. He is just too much.

So if you think your pooch is smiling back at you, you can’t be further from the truth. Dogs and Labs especially are signaling that they accept being the beta in the pack by pulling the corners of their mouths upwards, something we humans recognize as a smile.

Dogs show their happiness in their own particular way; they express emotion with their entire bodies. Not all dogs know how to smile and make it so human-like, but Bill here is a pro and his smile is as real as they come.

Usually, when dogs are said to be “smiling" in the anthropological sense (out of happiness), it is when they have their ears in the relaxed state for the breed, relaxed eyes, and a big wide open mouth, with tongue hanging out, sometimes panting too. When they are relaxed, the body language of the dog who is smiling often contains some of the loose, wiggly signals we would see in a happy dog.

The following video is a proof more that Labradors are beyond adorable. We know that Labradors are such lovely creatures that are friendly, careful and caring with everyone, even with insects like fireflies, for example. Labradors, like most dogs, are into chasing things that move as long as they are not a threat to them, and fireflies are just harmless bugs that produce light used to warn off predators. This Labrador can’t be qualified as a predator since he has only one thing in mind - to have fun chasing these lighting bugs around his garden. And the view is hilarious - it sends his owner in fits of giggle which makes us laugh hard, too, because this good-hearted dog is known to be so gentle that he takes care of not killing ants, too! And what happens when you spend your evenings hunting down fireflies? You get a flashing mouth! Incredibly humorous!
