Study Of The Book Of Nehemiah - Rebuilding The Broken Walls & Lives Of The Captivity Returnees By Faith! | Neh. 7:1-3
• Neh. 7:1 After the opposition in the previous chapter, this chapter is a relief. We see people here who, instead of hindering the building of the wall, willingly help to complete the building of the wall. The wall is finished, but the vigilance must not slacken. It is about “having done everything, to stand firm” (Eph_6:13). When the greatest effort has been made, the greatest danger is that things may still go wrong. Joshua also experienced this after the destruction of Jericho (Joh_7:2-5). The power of the enemy is then underestimated. In order to keep watching, Nehemiah set up gates and porters to man them. He also appointed singers and Levites so spiritual worship can commence. After partial or total victory worship is needed.

Study Of The Book Of Nehemiah - Rebuilding The Broken Walls & Lives Of The Captivity Returnees By Faith! | Neh. 7:1-3
• Neh. 7:2 Faithfulness and fear of God were the key character traits that qualified these men to govern Jerusalem. Faithful people can be trusted to carry out their work; God-fearing people can be expected to do so in line with God's priorities. These men had both qualities. If you are in a position of selecting leaders, look for faithfulness and reverence as two of the most important qualifications. Although other qualities may seem more impressive, faithfulness and reverence pass the test of time. 1Co 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Study Of The Book Of Nehemiah - Rebuilding The Broken Walls & Lives Of The Captivity Returnees By Faith! | Neh. 7:1-3
• Neh. 7:3 City gates were usually opened at sunrise, enabling merchants to enter and set up their tent-stores. Nehemiah didn't want Jerusalem to be caught unprepared by an enemy attack, so he ordered the gates closed until well after sunrise when the people were sure to be awake and alert. The wall was complete, but the work was not finished. Nehemiah assigned each family the task of protecting the section of wall next to their home. It is tempting to relax our guard and rest on past accomplishments after we have completed a large task. But we must continue to serve and to take care of all that God has entrusted to us. Following through after a project is completed is as vital as doing the project itself. This is what it means to be steadfast, unmoveable and always abounding in the work of the Lord.

Personal Supplication
Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to be steadfast, unmoveable and always abound (tirelessly) in Your work 1 Cor 15:58 AMP
1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].

Daily Covenant Favor Declaration
I decree in the name of Jesus, from this moment forward, I see myself the way God sees me. I am highly favoured of the Lord. I am crowned with glory and honour. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
I am reigning as a king in life through the one man Jesus Christ

JESUS IS LORD!
