For the Build:

8 Black Burger Buns

Fresh Lettuce Leaves

Cheddar cheese

Pickled onion Ketchup (optional)

Instructions:

In a medium bowl, mix all sauce ingredients and

refrigerate.

In a medium bowl, add the ground beef, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix by hand until the ground beef is combined well. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 45-60 min. Preheat the grill or a skillet to medium heat. Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal parts. Take a piece and press it using your hands into a burger patty about 3/4 inch thick. Grill the burgers until nicely browned, 3-4 minutes per side.
Preparing the Fried Jalapeno: In a medium bowl, add flour, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and baking powder. Using a whisk, mix the dry ingredients well and then add the sparkling water. Mix to combine well. Add the jalapeno pepper rings into the batter and coat them in the mixture. In a medium pan, heat neutral oil to 350F, and using a fork carefully place the ring in the hot oil and cook for 4-5 min until the rings are golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oil onto a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.

Cut a black burger bun horizontal and add lettuce leaf and stack the hot patties and cheese on the lettuce. Add 1 tbsp roasted pepper sauce. Top with fried jalapeno rings and ketchup. Serve warm. Bon appétit!
